- Watch as Better Homes and Gardens shows you how to make this lasagna recipe! This easy lasagna recipe is the perfect dinner idea when you're craving rich, creamy pasta. First, cook 12 dried lasagna noodles according to their package directions, draining and rinsing them twice after they're cooked. Lay the noodles in a single layer on a sheet of tin foil. For classic bechamel pasta sauce, mince three cloves of garlic, heating them with three tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add three tablespoons of flour, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper. Whisk this together, stirring in two cups of milk at once. Cook and stir the sauce until it thickens and bubbles, eventually removing it from the heat to stir in 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese. Set the sauce aside to make the meat sauce. Combine one cup of onion and two cloves of garlic with 16 ounces of browned ground beef. Drain excess fat, adding a 14 ounce can of diced tomatoes, an 8 ounce can of tomato sauce, one tablespoon of crushed dried Italian seasoning, one teaspoon of crushed fennel seeds, and 1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper. For the ricotta filling, combine one beaten egg, one 15-ounce container of ricotta cheese, and 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan. Assemble the lasagna, and cook it at 375 degrees for about 30 minutes if you have not refrigerated it. This lasagna recipe is so delicious, your family will be begging for this over any other pasta dish!

One suggestion I learned from many friends... sauté veggies (garlic, tomatoes and onion, then add ground meat. This helps meat almost dissolve without ending up with clumpy/chunky meat. Enjoy!
Or boil the ground beef. Mash it up in the water with a clean hand and let simmer on medium heat. It comes out perfect for sauces every time.
You have the same voice as the lady from allrecipe. No you are !! I love the way you give instructions...

made this tonight! I'm vegetarian so i used veggie meat replacer. Best Lasagna recipe ever!
Liked this recipe very much, I may also use the base recipe and add Sautéed veggies vs the meat mix as I am out of protein at this time of the month, Thank you for sharing!!!
I have tried it and came out delicious. Thanks
Making this now, about half way through the recipe, can't wait to eat it!! So I just finished this, I will say that there wasn't enough meat sauce, bechamel and ricottta to make four layers, so I had to make three layers, and the ricotta curdled slightly, but it was still very tasty.
yummy yummy . thanks for that amazing recipes. I'm gonna make it :)
This was an enjoyable video to watch👍
Going to make it:) thanks
That looks so good,I'm going to make this rather than making it like I usually make it!

Substituted the Milk for Almond Milk, tasted so good!
Does this have a tomato-e taste? I use tomato sauce, tomato paste (no diced tomatoes) on another recipe that doesn't involve a bechemel sauce, and the flavors of it are nice! just takes a lot longer simmering that sauce so I'm looking for alternate recipes of lasagna. Does this have a stronger cheese flavor?
Love this one. 800lb Gorilla has no idea what he's talking about.

The voice sounds like Giada DeLaurentiis.......................
This infuriates me.
This makes a very nice lasagne-shaped object, but it isn't lasagne and aside from the seasoning has minimal flavor, similar to cafeteria food. Learn proper techniques and cooking methods.
