Its not just a movie but even the making is really unique as they have covered all the aspects of film making right from sound, camera, music, producing. Usually if you look at the makings of other films, they are usually all about actors and the fun they had on set. Hats off to Farhan Akhtar and his team to giving due credit to every concerned person.
Javed Akhtar says- ehsaan shankar & loy...Farhan akhatr chooses...Aamir n saif for his first film...Aamir never mentioned that he knows Farhan since his Childhood...we understand that well guys...n woww....they all have different stories to tell....Nepotism really sucks...n it reflects in everything although they think we are fools....but anyway it was a good movie
Dubbing is the absolute worst-for performances, sound design, and on-set discipline, and I don’t understand why even today, many Indian productions still dub rather than shoot sync sound. Coming from the States, maybe I’m just used to sync sound, but as a musician, I’m sensitive to how things sound even more than how they look, and I can’t watch most dubbed films because they bug me so much. Dubbing ALWAYS makes the performances sound weirdly artificial and forced-because they are. I’m from a Telugu family, but I pretty much avoid Telugu films because no matter the budget, they’re all still dubbed, as far as I can tell. Dubbing needs to die. Sync sound zindabad. End rant.
That’s just silly, North India-centric nationalism. Get over yourself. Not everyone who likes the movie-or who might like the movie if they saw it-necessarily speaks Hindi, or is even from India. But given that the audience for this film skews heavily urban and educated, pretty much every Hindi speaker who likes it also speaks English. I didn’t speak Hindi when I first saw the film, because I’m an American _desi_ whose mother tongue is Telugu. (I’ve since learned it, which bothers my mom, as she feels that North Indians look down on South Indians. She has a point.)
Such movies are blessings for Bollywood... cannot be recreated..
4:38 that part of the song is amazing!! I’ve been listening to this song for like 18 years now.

The way Saif looks into the popcorn wondering if it made him high, still makes me laugh today

woh ladki hain kahan = farah's precursor to main hoon na and om shanti om. only she could've choreographed this song.

Iski. Nasbandi kar do
To me the only dull part of the movie was the song Woh ladki hai kahan.
No wonder it was made by Farah.
What? That song is great and has a fun music video
the only thing i do not like is that why they describing or talking about movie in English, although the movie is in Hindi itself.
