I'm hoping a 3rd party company will make it in 1:12 scale just like Dasin making anime figure which can compete on figma & shf. I want jada too but not sure of they will be able to get a Marvel License for figures
It’s a crime that we never get a proper arrow holding hand or drawn back bow from Hasbro. I take an exacto knife and cut between the pointer and middle finger. Then you can pop the end of the arrow between his fingers to give him a proper hold on the arrow. I also usually replace the bow string with actual string to make it more realistic too.

In all seriousness, I really like their recent offerings, character selection-wise, but their quality and price held me back. For real. I just reviewed an old Toybiz legends punisher movie figure and it made me miss those days. A figure, comic, stand, a cloth jacket, and a ton accessories for what was probably like $8 back then. I definitely miss those days.
I wanted the skycycle because I’m displaying this figure with the other guys that make up the avengers from the Data East arcade game. Hawkeye and Cap have to use it against the Sentinel in one of the stages
It’s all about how Hasbro just does not want to pay PEOPLE. No new quiver in 10+ years because they can’t hire someone to do a new simple quiver sculpt. Their paint apps are “expensive” because they’re ALL done by a machine. It feels like no human actually touches the figure in the production process, and it comes across as soulless. If only they could hire actual people to bring some life to their figures it would make all the difference. But the development & production process needs to be as simple as possible so every extra $$$$ can be squeezed out to the top of the line.
Machine painting isn't the problem they just consider any cost to be too expensive. 99% of figures are painted by machine these days. Not literally... But you get the point
@@AnthonysCustoms of course but not at the level Hasbro does it with ML imo. Almost every bit of paint needs to be a deco printed by a machine. We see other companies at this price point that do so much more like you point out. Like, the shit with Spider-Man’s web pattern - sculpt the web, and do a black wash. But with Hasbro it’s all printed. Fewer actual humans = less money spent and more in Hasbro’s pocket. They’re the most egregious with it by far
Q of the Day: I don’t have room for vehicles and play sets, so while I think they’re cool in theory, I’d rather they be sold separately without the figure(s). I feel like you’re one of the few people in this hobby that I can relate to when it comes to the whole pinless thing. Hasbro is going to get YEARS of mileage (and regurgitation) out of that. That last shot with Darwin was priceless!
I feel the same way. Any time I get the riders figures (with the exception of professor X and ghost rider) I always sell the vehicles. I want the figures but not the vehicles. They always put the most desirable figures in with stupid vehicles.
The sky cycle type stuff would be cool if it wasn't garbage, but it's hasbro so... Don't use soft goods if you're not even going to bother trying to match the colors. At this point I have to wonder if Hasbro is just trolling people by doing things poorly, so they can say, "we gave you soft goods and you hated that!". Doing everything this poorly has to be intentional.
I believe that only certain things closely associated w/ a character is actually necessary & coveted by most collectors (like Xavier's hoverchair, Ghostrider's cycle, or maybe the Batmobile for Batman). Personally, I never really liked the design of the sky-cycle & thought it should've been archer-themed, like how the Batmobile is bat-themed. The only advantage to the sky-cycle would be that it could be hung somewhere for a flying pose. But I'm sure it's gonna be overpriced, & not really worth it for essentially a hunk of immobile plastic.
Jada, Neca, and shf beating Hasbro ML and IDK why they are getting worst instead of getting better.. well on some figures is good maybe but still inconsistent plus pricing is garbage. If not for Marvel characters and a 1:12 scale I would just switch entirely to other brands. Got the SHF kid Naruto and for the pricepoint it beats any Marvel Legends that have been released. I hope JADA will get a Marvel Licensed so they can create a competition on hasbro ML. I always watched your review before buying and I don't PO anymore any ML figures. I assembled the sky-cycle and then immediately sold it, didn't even sit Hawkeye on it. I wasn't interested in it and didn't have the space, plus I was okay with the price since this is one of only four Marvel Legends I've picked up this year, I've been cutting back a lot across all lines I collect so I was okay justifying spending the extra price, plus I made a little back in selling the sky-cycle. At the bare minimum he does add a nice splash of colour in my Avengers display which is mostly red black and darker blue, he's definitely the only purple character I have on that shelf and the lighter blue helps too. To me Hawkeye is an integral and iconic character which is mostly all I go for in terms of Avengers, I'm not hugely attached to the Avengers so he does the job for me, plus I'm usually one and done with characters in the Marvel Legends line, variant looks are easy skips for me so this'll probably be my first and last Hawkeye.
My take is this: They gave us a cloth loin cloth to get him to sit nice on a sky cycle I didn’t want. This is the last Marvel Legend I will buy. The fact I can’t get him into an archery pose because of the incorrect wrist hinges kills this. Now I understand I pre-ordered this knowing it came with the sky cycle but the way I see it, I paid £45 for a figure that doesn’t look good or function well and comes with a vehicle I couldn’t care less about.
I think hasbro is just making marvel legends for the sake of making it. They don't seem to improve or have any creativity anymore. Lack of paint or shading, weathering.. But they do make changes to one thing... Price increase for a mediocre line.

The right leg on mine was completely fused at the top and bottom of the knee. It started to rip apart from the shin and the upper knee would not budge. I got a replacement thankfully.
Question of the Day: Cool in theory… but why waste real estate on a third stringer unless they’re one of your favorites. And don’t be daft. Marvel Legend’s slogan is “…at least it has pinless joints.”

I'd rather single figures I can't afford a damn 2pack or figure and sky cycle every single release idk it just seems the figures I need/want are all overpriced with some figures or offering I don't want
QotD, there is so much sameness within Marvel Legends that I welcome something different like this. I would love to get more small vehicles, props, and mini dios to mix things up. It helps break up the monotonous sea of Sunfires and Bucky Caps. I only need one, good representation of each figure so I'd rather them go all out and do it well. I don't need to own 11 different Hawkeyes, just give me one with the skycycle and the variety of arrows (one with a mini Antman on it) and I'll be good. I'd much rather that then get the half-assed releases that make up 95% of their release slate
I agree with ya 100% on everything you said. Especially needing only one quintessential version of each character. However, from Hasbro's perspective, they keep us buying because with each version that comes out, they get a little closer, but not quite. So they release another. And it's a little better than the last one, but... . Already I'm seeing complaints about Hawk not having the correct hand to grip the bow, or arrow-gripping hands. He also lacks a drawn bow. And the string on the bow is too big. And the quiver is the same one from 13 years ago. Hasbro will go back and correct ONE of these issues and rerelease him on a retro card in a year 😅😅😅
they had to make the middle soft goods in order for him to sit on cycle..... but higer price point and not a new arrow case with arrows or an arrow holding hand is unacceptable. they always cheap out thats why im cheaping out on them, i get most on clearance, the must haves i get the others ill wait
The loin cloth looks cheap but Hawkeye himself lookd pretty good. The Skycycle looks how I remember it from the comics. If they'd cast the loin cloth in plastic even a thin rubbery one I think it would've lifted him off the seat. Pounds to pennies they'll release a Hawkeye on his tod without the jet bike.
This is a toy for a 4 year old It's not an accurate depiction of a comic book character that Hasbro adult collectors should buy. Awesome reviews sir 👍🤘
Thanks for the video review on this one. QoTD: Nope. Don't have the room for accessories such as a Jetcycle. I am going to put the same effort into considering buying this product, as Hasbro put into its design. None.
$60 for this happy meal looking toy is one of the biggest jokes I've ever seen. Yea toybiz went out of business and some of their sculpts were a little wonky, but they gave you a hawkeye with a ton of cool arrows, AND THE FUCKING SKYCYCLE........for the same regular price of $8 back in the day.....not some sub-(deluxe) line charging an additional almost $30 for a little vehicle lmao
This figure gets more and more disappointing the more I see it. I know you said the sculpt was okay, but he just looks so wimpy to me. The shoulders are so tiny and low on the body, the thighs stick out to the sides, and he has very skinny ankles because they're using the 80th-anniversary Captain America boots. The arms also look kind of bubbly. The head looks too big and he has such a bland expression. The figure itself looks bland and the cloth piece looks even worse from the side. It's laughable that he can't even hold his bow properly or really interact with his arrow. In other words, if you want to pose this guy shooting an arrow, forget it. I'd rather just wait 2-3 years for Mafex to make Hawkeye than buy this wimpy piece of crap. This will look boring on a shelf. The head and shoulders alone just kill it. This does not look like a $50 collectible. However, Hasbro white knights don't seem to care about buying good figures so long as they represent characters that they like. I want a Hawkeye for my Avengers shelf, but this is just not a good figure
I don't like things like these. It seems like a throwback to ToyBiz Hawkeye, except back then those accesories were included in the price of the figure, and it wasn't an excuse to charge more. And it's a shame because I have no interest in the sky-cycle, but I still want this Hawkeye
I have to be honest, space is the #1 reason for my selective-ness on buying figs, but also HASBRO sucks, and they aren’t getting my hard earned money 😂👍🏼
They went with cloth because of the Sky Cycle, otherwise he won't sit down. What they should have done was make him come apart at the waist and have a replaceable part. They're already making us pay through the nose.
I don't give a shit about this mid-quality figure, based on an older figure I don't give a shit about, based on a comic design I don't give a shit about. It's classic Hawkeye though, so if people want a classic Hawkeye for their Avengers shelf, this is it.
To me it is a great figure, maybe the reuse parts are the bad in all of this, I do not thing that is "lazy garbage" but all of us have a our opinion and thats all.
I don't really care about the Skycycle. It just makes this release even more overpriced. I feel like the "skirt" thingy would have been flexible enough to sit the figure on the Skycycle if it was made of soft plastic. That piece of cloth completely ruins the look for me.
IF its garbage and you dont wanna keep garbage on your shelf then perhaps you can give it away to us who would take any "garbage" figures you dont want 😅and oh btw that big thing at the end of his arrow supposedly goes between his index and middle finger when he aims his bow buuut unfortunately one of his extra hands isn't molded that way to accomodate the arrow so. Ok garbage on that part lol. Not all. 8/10
Seems ok. The $50 price ain't cheap, but considering the Retro Hawkeye was going for like $100 on eBay, having an option with a better head sculpt and a mediocre vehicle is decent. I'm definitely not paying $50 for him though, I wouldn't mind snagging him at below half price. I got the retro Hawkeye without a bow in a lot from somebody, but I'm probably better off just trying to find the old ToyBiz version and using that bow instead. I'm pretty tired of Hasbro releasing so many head sculpts that look so bored. That's what convinced me not to buy anymore MCU figures, it's just a bunch of bored actors. I'm really only buying a couple figures here and there these days, because as excited as I am when they are announced, the execution is so lazy.
I'm good with my Retro, thanks. Small vehicles are cool in my book, but I'm not into this particular one, nor would I buy it in order to get this overrated Hawkeye with terrible cloth loincloth and ten year old quiver.
Your reviews are on point most of the time but this time I think you are very wrong. I don't want to say that this set is incredibly good because it's not, but it's far from "lazy garbage" as you said.
The thing on the end of the arrow is SO HE CAN PUT THE ARROW BETWEEN HIS FINGERS. you bitch about him not being able to hold it, then bitch about how they made the part to hold it even tho you dont even ACKNOWLEDGE THATS WHAT ITS FOR.😂🥴 another A+ review 😂

They didn't need to use cloth for him to use the bike. Soft plastic could flex well enough and look infinitely better.
Bro stop, you're annoying J Hernandez and Unparalleled with these honest reviews! 😭
Not sure what you mean. Are they complaining about me?
@@AnthonysCustomsI don't think so. I think OP was just throwing shots at much less critical reviewers
Marvel legends are just discount clearance toys if i see this for not more than $20 ill get it.
Not a fan of the 2 packs. 1 figure people want with 1 figure people barely want.
This is a toy for a 4 year old It's not an accurate depiction of a comic book character that Hasbro adult collectors should buy. Awesome reviews sir 👍🤘
also, the loincloth should’ve been a soft plastic kinda like ryu’s gi from jada toys. the cloth looks so ugly and kinda a eye soar
This figure literally just looks like a childrens toy
Gotta slice his first 2 fingers to hold the arrow properly
sky cycle a cash grab
just picked this up for $25 at target
Thanks for the video review on this one. QoTD: Nope. Don't have the room for accessories such as a Jetcycle. I am going to put the same effort into considering buying this product, as Hasbro put into its design. None.
🏹
I love the figure but I would rather have paid a lot less and not gotten the sky cycle
My question is Hawkeye really a superhero or just an archer ?
Archer assassin with good morals lol
But just a normal guy @@FinalConsensus
@@thenotoriousuncYeah, he doesn't have any super powers
None at all@@chewymew
The comment about the abs 😂 I was thinking the same thing
Nice package...
I have to be honest, space is the #1 reason for my selective-ness on buying figs, but also HASBRO sucks, and they aren’t getting my hard earned money 😂👍🏼
I really wanted a classic Hawkeye, but I couldn't care less to the Sky-Cycle, and the soft goods in the figure kinda blows it for me.
Wait a few months, they'll release it on a card (will probably be $30 cuz "reasons")
They went with cloth because of the Sky Cycle, otherwise he won't sit down. What they should have done was make him come apart at the waist and have a replaceable part. They're already making us pay through the nose.
they coud have just made the piece soft and thin and it would have been fine. you generally dont have him sitting all the way down anyway.
@@AnthonysCustoms I mean, we can argue till the cows come home about how they should have done it, but they probably would have fucked it up anyway.
I feel like if you designed Marvel Legends they’d all look like characters from Rob Liefeld’s Youngblood
Jim Lee. But really any of the big names are fine. Anything is better than what hasbro is doing.
saved me $50 bucks and who knows much more cus I wouldve been getting back into ML
Marvel legends are for suckers and hasbro is finessing every single person that buys it
So close...
I don't really care about the Skycycle. It just makes this release even more overpriced.
I feel like the "skirt" thingy would have been flexible enough to sit the figure on the Skycycle if it was made of soft plastic. That piece of cloth completely ruins the look for me.
What exactly is rocket surgery? 😂😂 Nice review as always though
It's a joke. Mixes rocket science and brain surgery.
@AnthonysCustoms oh I see, that's funny. I am greek so I didn't get that one. Thnx 😊
I like the sky cycle, and captain america looks great on it
I like getting smaller vehicles like this. Anything bigger is too big for this scale.
Yeah, I was stoked for this one too - much like the Hulk and Banner set, until I saw it. easy pass.
Not all. 8/10
I don't like the loin cloth on this guy either
I want this but I’ll wait for it to go down to like $40 or less
Wow that is lazy deco on the skirt of hawkeye
That's an excuse both are terrible figures, the old one is Bucky Cap mold.
Thank you for stopping me from buying this piece of crap
I'm good with my Retro, thanks. Small vehicles are cool in my book, but I'm not into this particular one, nor would I buy it in order to get this overrated Hawkeye with terrible cloth loincloth and ten year old quiver.
I got this for 50% so for that price I'm good with this.
Your reviews are on point most of the time but this time I think you are very wrong.
I don't want to say that this set is incredibly good because it's not, but it's far from "lazy garbage" as you said.
Tell me how. What did i say that was wrong?
I wish I could get Hawkeye without that ugly hunk of plastic
Way overpriced too!
Oh boy here we go... I think it'll be shit and overpriced...
Overpriced yea! Idk bout the second one 😊
You have a lot of attitude for someone who doesn't know what he's talking about
A lil harsh. Fig nowhere near as bad as he's making it out to be
Cite a single thing i said in the review that's wrong.
@@AnthonysCustoms Sky-cycle is pretty cool. Pinless is a plus. Could it have been better? Sure. But u damn near called it Darwin level
@wu-bangya4486 imo it literally looks like a $10 kids toy
@@Zombub Nah. I own it. U can frame a narrative of anything to make it look worse than it is. Is it a GREAT fig? No. But y'all going overboard
This guy never has anything good to say about figures
Then you haven't seen other reviews from him, this is his job, letting people know in an objective way what figures are good and which ones are bad.
Hello shartishill
Watch his latest Predator review. He's very positive there.
Stop only watching reviews about shitty lines
Even in this review of a garbage figure I said good things about it. Use your brain.
Anthony, I know I asked before but I'm just wondering if you ever got the Target Black Widow. Would love to see your thoughts on it
Nope. My target never has ML.. Especially exclusives
@@AnthonysCustomsIs your PO Box address still the same as the one in your about me page? I found a black widow at Target today. I'll send it to you for review. 👍
Yesterday the algorithm sent me to your 8 year old Hawkeye video, today this video. Full circle. 😂
