yesnt people forget that denver is a small market team that somehow has little appeal to free agents. the owners arent stingy (denver is in the top 10 payrolls), and the team itself doesnt suck. the problem is that (as of right now) murray and MPJ are vastly overpaid - but theyre good players on long term contracts, who were big parts of the championship. its not like lillard in portland, where the owners refused to pay luxury tax or anything, and most things you hear about denver management are really positive - sometimes it just doesnt work out, despite the best efforts.
I get your point, but at the same time one could cut 'em some slack because they actually made it work with that roster for at least the season they won the championship. I think they all looked very capable of playing at a high level, it's not that there's a bunch of winning teams right now that look better on paper than the Nuggets do.

LBJ is making some really stupid turnovers, the league is better than it was when he could get away with the things he did on distributing the ball. He needs to be more calculated and continue just doing his bullyball, drive and kick or p'n&r with AD. They need to trade for a big and go all in on win now. The west is wide open this season. Clippers have been a cool story, a bunch of roleplayers playing hounding defense, forcing turnovers and playing strong man to man D.
