Hullo from Glasgow, wee Ruthy. We recently were on Loch Shiel and saw Glenfinnan Monument. The Corran ferry is lovely. Really enjoying seeing these places I've been. Love the channel.
Ms Aisling that was an absolute pleasure to watch. I particularly enjoyed meeting the couple you visited and the distillery tour. I love professionalism in whatever field it is exhibited. @@ruthaisling Dear Ms Aisling I had recommended your vlog to one of my oldest friends who had toured Scotland, all of it! in his Dutch friend's campervan. There was a similarity of adventure. He offered me a Roland for my Oliver and linked me to a canal vlogger. The mindful navigator, I recommend it. Nothing happens but paradoxically everything does. Both you and her live a life I could not live. I am glad somebody does live it. I am a city boy who once housed hundreds whilst working for Shelter. I don't envy, I have no reason to, I too was a damnably good professional. I may take something from your travels, it's called joy. For which my thanks Ruth. Another blissful video tour - Ruth, you're so good at this stuff! I took the ferry from Tobermory, Mull, to Kilchoan ("Kil-Hoan") and stopped at that viewpoint near Ben Hiant (@ 7:48). Hi Ruth. I was up on the Ardnamurchan peninsula in May in my wee van "Myfanwy" and stayed next to Callum and Rox for two nights. What a lovely couple they are, they made me most welcome. In the evenings, we had a few wee drams and food cooked on the campfire, and the only sounds were drumming snipe and bleating sheep, bliss. The peninsula is so remote and quiet, I love it. I'm planning another trip up there in October. Great video as usual, Ruth.
They mentioned to me that you'd been to visit! It sounds like you all had a great time. The wee camp fire they have is brilliant, I hope you enjoyed your drams!
Totally agree with your driving pace. I must be the slowest car driver as the reason i went to the highlands was to enjoy the view, so travelling at 50-60 on those single track roads is just not enjoyable. I was doing 25-35 and every time a car was up my backside i pulled over and let them pass, much more enjoyable and less stressful. Who wants a stressful holiday. Will be back next April 🤞
WOW! Beautiful scenery Soo serene; I must visit spectacular Scotland after watching Ruth's professional and educational videos! Ruth is the best videographer and documentary narrator!! Thanks to my Scottish Sis, Ruth!! God bless her!!

Great stuff in getting those interviews with Fergus and Calum. Their local expertise added to your own expertise was the icing on the cake. Well done, Ruth!
That was a neat distillery tour, wonderful to see how they are reducing climate impact. As a follow up, we found Ardnamurchan AD Core in Austin, TX. After trying the whisky, I can say this AD Core is the only peated whisky that I have liked. Thanks again for revealing this remote area and wonderful whisky. Slàinte.

This is the best whisky tour I have ever seen. Calum introduced Ardnamurchan Core Expression Whisky, which appears to be a passion for excellence. Wonderful show!
I must say, this video is superb. This is professional grade touring guide that would take tens of thousands of pounds to make by a production company. I've always wanted to go tour the Ardnamuchan. Hi Ruth, we were in Ardnamurchan in April this year. It was so beautiful we are going back in October! Adding a visit to the distillery too! Loving the videos 😀
Greetings from Michigan! What an amazing video! Gorgeous area (loved Sanna Beach) and Calum was a delight with his whisky history. I learned so much! I love learning about the West coast especially since my ancestors are from that side...but also love the Gaelic. My son's name is Ian and my grandson is Malcolm. Thank you Ruth for sharing your beautiful country and the motherland of my Grandparent's with us!
Was a pleasure to have you over for a visit finally and glad you enjoyed your wee tour around Ardnamurchan Distillery 🥃🥃 Hopefully we can catch up again soon 🤩🤩
That was a really interesting video Ruth. Fascinating to see inside the whisky warehouse. Most of the distilleries I have visited around Scotland and Tasmania (born Scotland but live in Australia) show you the malting floor and still but rarely the bond warehouse.
Yes the Outer Hebrides has amazing beaches, or at least it had when my wife & I were there, for a week, with our then toddler son, but that was over 40 years ago. I understand the Late Spring is probably the best time to visit. Calum was appropriately enthusiastic about "his" whisky I enjoyed your & his enthusiasm Bye!
Hi Ruth, I love those roads, I could drive them all day. A bit trickier with a lorry though and winter would be different. It's great you're supporting local shops, I love rhubarb, I'll bet the jam will be very tasty. Toast and rhubarb jam is just the thing to have with a wee dram,😂😂😂. The distillery tour was very comprehensive, I don't know if people realise how many whisky barrels there are. Butts, hogs, barrels, old bourbon, sherry and different casks. Oh, not forgetting the tasty looking shortbread, roll on the next adventure.
Wow, so I learned something---particularly that the smallest barrels age faster! Never heard that before! I'm going down to my neighborhood liquor store and give him a hard time about his most expensive---- of course, I live in New York City... He won't have a clue.
Beautiful scenery, nice weather and cool people, excellent whiskey ... what more can one ask for? Thanks for you nice videos, I always enjoy these very much!
Watching this episode has convinced me to visit the area. Currently living in Tasmania. Super expensive Whiskey here, but not a patch on the quality of Scottish whiskey. An awesome episode. Really enjoyed.
Hi Ruth. I have decided to come over for a visit from Tassie. Early Sept to see old friends and Family. Planning a quick blast up to the Oban area. Your Whiskey tours have inspired me. Will try and get to Ardnamurchan. Any others nearby you would recommend. Not really into the peaty whiskeys. Many Thanks Rich.
Hi Ruth, thanks for this very interesting episode. The tour around the distillery with Callum was very informative! The distillery's marketing is in good hands .
Whoo hooo, The western most point of Scotland, Congratulations Ruth ❤ and thanks Callum for the amazing distillery tour, it got me thinking whether the salt air affects the taste of the scotch, interesting 🤔
You are good ambassador to represent Scotland, Ruth❤. Lot of things I learned about beautiful Scotland throughout your adventure🎉😊. Your enthusiast, knoledge, and offcourse your lovely smile is great combination ❤
I've thoroughly enjoyed all of the videos on your channel & this is one of the most beautiful & informative to date! It is so lovely to see these locations around Scotland which remain more remote & less influenced by modern society. Take care Ruth & I hope you keep enjoying your exploring. 😊
I knew you'd love that road and that whole place ' great vid really enjoyed, every time one of your videos drop I'm always sitting chilling at Kinlochleven 😁 😁
Cracking film, Ruth. Always had yen to visit the Ardnamurchan after I worked for the company that fitted the biomass boiler in the distillery. Since then, 3 trips so far, only one without torrential rain. We just stuck to A roads, though, and I’ve never got to the distillery. One day. The road from Acharacle to Lochailort via Glenuig is spectacular.
Loved the visit to the brewery with all the goat labels. Reminded me of my Angora goat Ernie. If I were drinking a beer on the deck, he'd always join me, and demand the lion's share of my brew.
Love Ardnamurchan, the most unspoilt part of Scotland. I rented a caravan with my family years ago in Achnaha. We got invited to a Ceilidh on our first night - made so welcome. Beautiful part of Scotland.
I really enjoyed this episode. :) You’re “you can do anything if you try” was lovely. As a native Kentuckian, I also loved seeing the Woodford Reserve barrel. Thanks for making and sharing these- they’re a joy.
Loved this tour of Ardnamurchan and the distillery. My husband and I are planing to go next year and we're definitely trying the whiskey from the Ardnamurchan Distillery. Turn sound that The Distillery sells to a place in San Francisco that will ship to us in seattle. I wrote to The Distillery and told them I thought your tour was so fascinating that we wanted to visit them and stay in their little cottages. Thanks again for your posts. I was a travel writer for 25 years and finally decided to change my vocation last December.
Absolutely! We thought you did a great job of explaing The Distillery and your product, Calum. We look forward to visiting Ardnamurchan and the distillery!!!😊😊

Haven’t even finished watching the video, but I have to say that Ardnamurchan is a truly special place for my boyfriend and I. We stayed for a week in the little cottage right next door to the distillery, which is a great base to explore the area. More than happy to return some point in the future 😊
Ruth Attenborough. You are incredible. Your channel is an informative & educational joy. Your content is remarkable and far succeeds the BBC. Surely you have a backup location production crew in the spare bedroom? Me & my dad absolutely love your videos.

The last time I was at ardamuchan lighthouse the old man at the light house was the last worker on the lighthouse and after retirement he volunteered as a guide.... I had a very long talk with him what a very interesting man we talked for ages in-between other visitors..... so freindly in the village too .... if I had the chance I'd love to live there. 😊❤

Wonderful experience, thank you !
What an amazing trip! The scenery is so unbelievably beautiful. You are making such fantastic memories and allowing us to come along!
🥃👍
Wow so much in this video Ruth! Really interesting & loved the distilery tour from Calum. I must find his channel. x
Great glad you enjoyed Calum's tour 🥃👍
Hi Ruth, I love those roads, I could drive them all day. A bit trickier with a lorry though and winter would be different. It's great you're supporting local shops, I love rhubarb, I'll bet the jam will be very tasty. Toast and rhubarb jam is just the thing to have with a wee dram,😂😂😂. The distillery tour was very comprehensive, I don't know if people realise how many whisky barrels there are. Butts, hogs, barrels, old bourbon, sherry and different casks. Oh, not forgetting the tasty looking shortbread, roll on the next adventure.
Thanks Colin! I’m so pleased you enjoyed it 😊
You know your stuff Colin 🥃 Glad you enjoyed the tour 🥃
日本の離島以上に鄙びた地域ですね。バンライフを楽しむカップルと知り合い、勤め先のウイスキー蒸留所を紹介され良い旅でした。🐱
Another cracking video, brilliant seeing the couple with the camper, just braw.👍
Thanks Glen! Calum and Roksana were so great to meet! Please check out their channel "Ardview Vanlife"
Wow, so I learned something---particularly that the smallest barrels age faster! Never heard that before! I'm going down to my neighborhood liquor store and give him a hard time about his most expensive---- of course, I live in New York City... He won't have a clue.
Ha does he stock our whisky? 🥃🥃
Such gorgeous countryside. I absolutely love your distillery tours and beside's Kilkerran, Ardnamurchan Distillery makes some of my favorite whiskies.
Aw glad to hear it 😁🥃
Beautiful scenery, nice weather and cool people, excellent whiskey ... what more can one ask for? Thanks for you nice videos, I always enjoy these very much!
Whisky
That guy is a genius
It takes one to know one 😅
Wonderful drive and beaches.
I could stay there forever 😊
Loved the tour of the distillery and Callum is so cute and loves making fine whiskey 😘🌴🤠
Glad you like his tour 😁🥃
Fantastic Ruth another brill video.🏴🥃
Glad you enjoyed it!
Watching this episode has convinced me to visit the area. Currently living in Tasmania. Super expensive Whiskey here, but not a patch on the quality of Scottish whiskey. An awesome episode. Really enjoyed.
Thanks for watching Richard! I used to live with a girl from Tasmania!
Glad you found the tour informative 😁
Whoo hooo, The western most point of Scotland, Congratulations Ruth ❤ and thanks Callum for the amazing distillery tour, it got me thinking whether the salt air affects the taste of the scotch, interesting 🤔
Glad you liked Calum's tour 😁🥃
Thank you for taking us on another adventure, Ruth! Love from America 💕
Thanks for watching!
That was a very good tour. I have been on whisky tours, but they were rubbish at the side of that one. Very enjoyable
You are good ambassador to represent Scotland, Ruth❤. Lot of things I learned about beautiful Scotland throughout your adventure🎉😊. Your enthusiast, knoledge, and offcourse your lovely smile is great combination ❤
Thank you! 😃
I've thoroughly enjoyed all of the videos on your channel & this is one of the most beautiful & informative to date! It is so lovely to see these locations around Scotland which remain more remote & less influenced by modern society. Take care Ruth & I hope you keep enjoying your exploring. 😊
Very addictive, your videos! Cannot stop watching!
Glad you like them!
I knew you'd love that road and that whole place ' great vid really enjoyed, every time one of your videos drop I'm always sitting chilling at Kinlochleven 😁 😁
Haha lovely, hope you’re having a great time!
Hope you can visit sometime! Thanks for the recommendation!
Loved the visit to the brewery with all the goat labels. Reminded me of my Angora goat Ernie. If I were drinking a beer on the deck, he'd always join me, and demand the lion's share of my brew.
ルーシーさん、シヨータさん🎉wonderful🎉
Love Ardnamurchan, the most unspoilt part of Scotland. I rented a caravan with my family years ago in Achnaha. We got invited to a Ceilidh on our first night - made so welcome. Beautiful part of Scotland.
I really enjoyed this episode. :)
You’re “you can do anything if you try” was lovely. As a native Kentuckian, I also loved seeing the Woodford Reserve barrel.
Thanks for making and sharing these- they’re a joy.
Thanks very much glad you liked that. That reversing around a corner and uphill was a bit tricky haha!
Wonderful casks coming out of Kentucky 🥃
Loved this tour of Ardnamurchan and the distillery. My husband and I are planing to go next year and we're definitely trying the whiskey from the Ardnamurchan Distillery. Turn sound that The Distillery sells to a place in San Francisco that will ship to us in seattle. I wrote to The Distillery and told them I thought your tour was so fascinating that we wanted to visit them and stay in their little cottages. Thanks again for your posts. I was a travel writer for 25 years and finally decided to change my vocation last December.
Aw thanks 😁 It would be so nice to see you when you visit 🙂 So if you don't see me then please ask and I will come and say hello 🤩
Absolutely! We thought you did a great job of explaing The Distillery and your product, Calum. We look forward to visiting Ardnamurchan and the distillery!!!😊😊

That's a day run from Glenlyon to the distillery so I'll arrange that in October. Thank you for the excellent video, Ruth.
One of your best yet Ruth...fascinating tour of the Ardnarmurchan distillery and this stunning peninsula...I really must try that dram!
You should try it 🥃😆 thank you so much!
We agree, buy some Ardnamurchan 😄😄
Ruth.. your adventures are fun to watch. And every time you go to a new distillery... I will immediately look it up so I can find it where I live❤
Have fun!
Thank you so much Gordon, that is so nice of you to say! Haha no back up production crew! 😂
Love your videos. Thank you for taking us to such beautiful places. Loved that yellow van. What a place to live.❤❤
Absolutely brilliant episode but especially the distillery visit! Well done!
Ardnamurchan is such a beautiful place
Thanks for showing us these beautiful parts of Scotland that most of us will not get to visit.
Thanks for watching!
Two of my absolute FAVORITE channels combined in one video. I really loved it. Hope you also make an appearance in one of their videos!
Hello Ruth how on earth do you find such wonderful places so lovely this weekend i was looking at a movie whisky galore i thought of you and how you would try and hide all that whisky may be you can shine a light on this as i think its a true story as always a wonderful video take care and dont drive after you have drunk all that lovely whisky 👍👍
I Love going to the West coast, it is Stunning! Great again Ruth.
Thanks so much!
How wonderful!
Cracking vid Ruth
Been past the distillery on the way to the lighthouse
Wish I’d called in now 🙈🙈

Happy days from west wales🏴
Thanks Gareth! Maybe next time!
wonderful to see the ardnamurchan from the land side: Sanna was the first place I ever stayed on a dinghy cruise in Scotland - imagine!! - and we have sailed past the lighthouse there at least 4 times over the years. a joyful and peaceful video. thanks!
