Tbh i forget theres even an auction house. Theres really no need for one in my opinion. Everyone seems to help one another, and atleast on my realm in major cities people just sell stuff in general chat. I love the interaction of meeting up with someone to buy or craft with. Makes the world feel more alive. I just ignore bots and gold buying shit best I can lol

Unfortunately this is just how the game was, is and always will be, especially on classic environment. Luckily, due to the permadeath nature I don't think the economy will ever reach the normal Era servers levels of insanity of the AH prices but yeah, sadly, RMT is just a reality that we need to accept for as long as blizzard "allows" it. The only positive of this all is that hardcore is more about the challenge of reaching 60, not so much about end game (in my opinion), so if other people just decide to buy their gear it's honestly insignificant to one's own enjoyment of the challenge.

My main thing with my bank alt, is i made him a tailor, He has 6 slot and 8 slot bags for new toons i make or recreate. Helps to have your toons send excess cloth to the bank alt.

i had 3 char, 2 waarr till 35(they died) and 1 rogue to 60. I didnt even farm that much and i have over 1000g. When i started lvling my alt, i bought all the stuff that was needed for smoother lvling. i prolly spent 50g before lvl 20. And i never bough gold, so if you see someone decked out...Its not always gold buying
I remember back around 2005 ish I won a Quel' Saraar tomb drop from Dire Maul east, sold it for 600g to an ambitious tank I was so excited I never had that much at once, genuine excitement!!
The answer is obviously the wow token to combat gold hitting! /s It is just sad how we had something so pure in SSF and blizzard just decided they had to get involved and now it’s become so tainted. I’m still having fun but damn I don’t like it.
You are dreaming if you thought SSF would stop bots, there'd be bots leveling to sell level 60 accounts and there'd be plenty of buyers dumb enough to spend money on them to flex
It is tempting to bust out the credit card and spend $5 or $10 to remove the burden of poverty on your HC characters. Every time I start to get a little gold in my pocket I end up having to go train. At the trainer I have pick and choose what I absolutely have to have because of the obscene training costs. In the end, I will not spend real money because it can be done (getting to 60 - enjoying the game) without buying gold. I do think Blizzard can take a step to reduce gold buying by upping the rewards for doing quests. As casual player, why would I even think to buy gold if quest rewards provided sufficient money for training and for buying a mount (at 40). Lastly, it would be great if mobs dropped items equal to their level. It sucks that greens a blues are never an upgrade because they are 5 levels below your character level. You work your ass off with your level 20 to solo an elite (level 16) raptor in WC and it drops a level 10 green.
Why would they concerned about deleting the items they are buying when they can transfer to Classic Era realms when the chars die and oh now they have all those items they swiped and got them much cheaper than on classic era. Win win
@@lurker_yt to be honest I hadn’t looked but with how long gold buying has effected era I just sort’ve assumed that due to super inflation that has been there so long items would be cheaper on hardcore because super inflation hasn’t quite set in on hardcore yet. I imagine it will get much worse on hardcore in the coming months. I could definitely be wrong though, maybe era inflation isn’t as bad because it’s not the more popular version of the game right now?
@@Blackread inflation is actually good in wow. The cost of flight paths, deposit fees, bank slots, repairs, vender water/food, ammo, lv40/60 mount is all fixed. The more inflated the economy gets, the more buying power you have versus the things you buy from the game itself. Sure you may need to spend more to level professions, But you will make more farming profession mats so it balances out completely. It's only bad for people who don't use the AH at all and rely solely on mob drops.

Not really, When you die you can transfer to classic era for free and keep everything. I'm sure most people do that and only the gamers do multiple runs.

Blizzard knows who buys gold. It is easy to tell. I really wish they would start punishing people. On private servers, sellers any buyers both cop bans. Guess Blizz doesn't want to risk losing half their player base after they let the problem fester for 15 years.
I waited a month to play hc classic servers and i was logged in for 10 minutes and saw, bots, gold buyers and sellers, boosters, people buying retail gold with era gold and more ah toons than actual people playing the game. this was 1.5 months ago. -- these servers are a joke
I love how you talk about "most HC players" and how they play for HC. I have yet to meet a single actual HC player on Skull Rock. In fact when I mention the HC rules to anyone interested in learning, the guild or chat channels come at me like I'm trying to tell other people how to play and that people should just be able to play however they want. The reality is that most wow players jumped on the fad bandwagon and ran to HC servers so they can call themselves "HC" while playing the game the same way they always did. They get a difficult quest, no problem lets just spam channel to form a group on the fly. A dungeon run you say, why not I have run it 6 times this week already. That is the reality of it. So I am afraid that, as per normal, the majority of players are buying gold and claiming they are just "working the AH" the same way they do in every other form of the game. It's a supply and demand driven problem. The supply wouldn't be there if the demand wasn't a problem. These same people cry about how "easy" they made retail while they have the other screen open to some gold buying site. It's just sad.

People have already made thousands and it's not even people who have ever botted /hacked before. Blizz officially sanctioned it. I don't know exactly what that means but I think it would be really dumb of them not to ban gold buyers that are participating in it. It is what it is, I mind my own business and do not care how people play there game. It will never change and the amount of bots farming ore and herbs makes it almost impossible to earn gold in a gathering profession. Almost forcing people to buy gold, but I do not care anymore I play the game because I still enjoy it.
Honestly, this could easily be an alt. Trust me 50-60 BoEs are selling for SO much money level 60s are ballin' I got my epic mount faster than I EVER thought I would.
I made 300 gold from AH flipping, over 700+ raw gold from aoe grinding to 60 and I found a krol blade. this is without selling or vendoring any of the items I found along the way. I'm not trying to downplay the rampant RMT but some of my alts are full of blue boes
I really hate when challenges get popular and get ruined by these people. Challenges in WoW started bc people wanted to spice things up; we created challenges like Ironman where you could only play with white or grey gear, or Project 60 where you tried to emulate vanilla on retail back in the day, stoping your xp at lvl 60 and runing vanilla dungeons and raids with like minded people. Remember, this was YEARS before blizzard even announced Classic. These challenges are fun bc no one cheated and we all followed the rules. But then streamers started doing these challenges, and this led to mega guilds full of people trying to cheat their way into the game, for what? Just so the streamer said their name for 5s and never think about them ever again. This killed entire guilds and many of us lost the will to play . It's really sad to see the same idiots tainting HC challenge ... like, whats the point in cheating on a challenge? No one gives a shit about your gear, there's no ingame leaderboard, no statue in game comemorating your "achievements", nothing. Its a challenge that began as player run and now we simply have a fully implemented challenge in the server. People like this chose to take on a challenge and cheat, cutting corners and taking shortcuts, completly ruining the purpose of the challenge from the start. Why not play regular wow if you're cheating then? Whats the purpose? As with everything in life, as soon as money is involved, that thing is forever ruined and destroyed. In the future someone will think on a new challenge to take on this game, get popularized by some streamer and the guild will be filled with cheaters ruining everything for the players that wanted to actually do the challenge from the start. As much as I hate how kargoz and his attempt to ruin classic wow to force players into buying his shitty quest addon, he was right in making that HC addon in the first place. If you want a true HC experience you either play on regular servers with the HC addon or come to Turtle WoW that was the first private server to have HC natively implemented on the server, with ACTUAL rules like no AH , item trading or anything like that , but you can also group up with others if you want to do a dungeon or a quest (but you cant gruop with any player that is more than 5 lvls above or below you precisely to prevent botting or carries). Turtle Wow is the right way to experience HC challenge, not Classic. Stay the fuck away from any oficial blizzard servers, and STOP FINANCIALLY SUPPORTING BLIZZARD

It MUST END or the GAME WILL END. There is a growing movement of folks who will walk away if they let the HC economy end up as bad as it has become in Wrath and in Retail. I walked away from Retail and am on the verge of leaving Wrath because of all the crap that goes on with pay to win. If HC gets the Token or Bliz refuses to ban like crazy when notified who is Botting and who is Gold Selling then its out the door from this as well.
Well we did on bloodsail with no trading allowed. Solo self found wouldve solved this problem but all the noobs couldn't bare not grouping for hogger or buying 5 pieces of stam gear off the AH so official started out as a joke from the beginning

So I am afraid that, as per normal, the majority of players are buying gold and claiming they are just "working the AH" the same way they do in every other form of the game. It's a supply and demand driven problem. The supply wouldn't be there if the demand wasn't a problem. These same people cry about how "easy" they made retail while they have the other screen open to some gold buying site. It's just sad.
Why are people talking about the wow token and pay to win? Wow classic is the biggest pay to win bullshit ever, and the wow token is not in it. I dont like that tje token is in the game, but people are buying gold like crazy if its in the game or not

@@lurker_yt Yeah there's a website I won't mention here you can sell directly to them , they take a 20% cut , and send you cash straight away after trading. People have already made thousands and it's not even people who have ever botted /hacked before. Alot of players refuse to do PVE instanced content , because it's out of their control.But they've hit 60 and found a good side hustle from it.

Blizz officially sanctioned it. I don't know exactly what that means but I think it would be really dumb of them not to ban gold buyers that are participating in it. All that's going to do is give even more viz to an embarrassing issue for them.

It will never change and the amount of bots farming ore and herbs makes it almost impossible to earn gold in a gathering profession. Almost forcing people to buy gold, but I do not care anymore I play the game because I still enjoy it.

I made 300 gold from AH flipping, over 700+ raw gold from aoe grinding to 60 and I found a krol blade. this is without selling or vendoring any of the items I found along the way. I'm not trying to downplay the rampant RMT but some of my alts are full of blue boes
Repair bills won't be that bad though, except for tanks, because most of the cost is caused by deaths. :D

I really hate when challenges get popular and get ruined by these people. Challenges in WoW started bc people wanted to spice things up; we created challenges like Ironman where you could only play with white or grey gear, or Project 60 where you tried to emulate vanilla on retail back in the day, stoping your xp at lvl 60 and runing vanilla dungeons and raids with like minded people. Remember, this was YEARS before blizzard even announced Classic. These challenges are fun bc no one cheated and we all followed the rules. But then streamers started doing these challenges, and this led to mega guilds full of people trying to cheat their way into the game, for what? Just so the streamer said their name for 5s and never think about them ever again. This killed entire guilds and many of us lost the will to play .
It's really sad to see the same idiots tainting HC challenge ... like, whats the point in cheating on a challenge? No one gives a shit about your gear, there's no ingame leaderboard, no statue in game comemorating your "achievements", nothing. Its a challenge that began as player run and now we simply have a fully implemented challenge in the server. People like this chose to take on a challenge and cheat, cutting corners and taking shortcuts, completly ruining the purpose of the challenge from the start. Why not play regular wow if you're cheating then? Whats the purpose?
As with everything in life, as soon as money is involved, that thing is forever ruined and destroyed. In the future someone will think on a new challenge to take on this game, get popularized by some streamer and the guild will be filled with cheaters ruining everything for the players that wanted to actually do the challenge from the start.
As much as I hate how kargoz and his attempt to ruin classic wow to force players into buying his shitty quest addon, he was right in making that HC addon in the first place. If you want a true HC experience you either play on regular servers with the HC addon or come to Turtle WoW that was the first private server to have HC natively implemented on the server, with ACTUAL rules like no AH , item trading or anything like that , but you can also group up with others if you want to do a dungeon or a quest (but you cant gruop with any player that is more than 5 lvls above or below you precisely to prevent botting or carries). Turtle Wow is the right way to experience HC challenge, not Classic. Stay the fuck away from any oficial blizzard servers, and STOP FINANCIALLY SUPPORTING BLIZZARD

The hardcore gamemode has been a thing in games for over a decade, and it has always revolved around having one life. You choose yourself, who you want to play with. You talk about "the purpose of the challenge", let me tell you one thing, the purpose of the challenge is up to the individual and what their goals are. Just because YOU have a different goal, does not invalidate or make everyones goals any less.

@@lurker_yt I play on Turtle WoW, so I didn't check AH prices on Classic, but I assume they're inflated due to gold being purchased. But if gold is this cheap now, it still makes a lot of things easier, like always having gold for training spells and more importantly getting riding right away.

It MUST END or the GAME WILL END. There is a growing movement of folks who will walk away if they let the HC economy end up as bad as it has become in Wrath and in Retail. I walked away from Retail and am on the verge of leaving Wrath because of all the crap that goes on with pay to win. If HC gets the Token or Bliz refuses to ban like crazy when notified who is Botting and who is Gold Selling then its out the door from this as well.
Well we did on bloodsail with no trading allowed. Solo self found wouldve solved this problem but all the noobs couldn't bare not grouping for hogger or buying 5 pieces of stam gear off the AH so official started out as a joke from the beginning
