Hi there Louis, This is one of my early videos and I could do a better job of it these days 😂 . As a starting point I would look at the caravan and Motorhome club tow car awards. They have different vehicle towing weight categories to suit the weight of the caravan. Skoda always seem to do well in the awards. My car is about a 70% match to our caravan, well below the recommended 85%. If the club tow vehicles are not to your taste then you need to do some research. Look at engine torque. The higher the torque the better for towing. Do you want four wheel drive, good for all year round towing. Self levelling suspension is also a good feature to have. Road tax all depends on the year of manufacture. Before April 2017 the cost was all related to emissions. From April 2017 only the first year relates to emissions but from the second year onwards the tax is the same for all vehicles (depending on the type of fuel). However, if the vehicle cost £40,000 or more there is a supplement charge on top of the annual tax. This applies from year two to year six. From year seven the supplement no longer applies. If you’re purchasing a used car and having a tow bar fitted, make sure you have a vehicle specific wiring kit otherwise the vehicles trailer stabilisation programme and other safety features will not be activated. The car will also require coding so it knows you’re towing. Sorry I’ve gone on a bit but there are so many variables. Hope you find a good tow car and best of luck 🤞. All the best, Rob
My switch doesn't light up. Turning it does nothing. It's a audi a6 c6 2004. If somoeone knows whats up with that please help i looked all over google and didn't find any solution
I have the same towbar,but mine doesn’t come out when i twist the knob i just blinks red and it says check towing bracket. Does anyone know what to do 🤷♂️
Has it been used much as in folded in and out? If not this could be the problem. The only thing I can suggest is to spray release oil like WD40 in the rotating mechnism, let it soak in then carefully work it loose. Hope this works. Cheers. Rob

It's not a faff really. Showing the operation in steps looks longer than it actually is. I can have my tow bar ready quicker than it takes someone to get their detachable swan neck out of the boot! The new A6 today is available with an electrically operated one - brilliant. Thanks for watching. Rob

Only thing I can suggest is release the tow bar and have a look under the car above the trailer socket. There is a connector. See if this is ok.
