    Hats off to Gab and Juls for giving Real Madrid the credit they deserve. The rest of the English media are all pundits who make it look like Real didn't deserve the match, like Real didn't even have 5 chances (with 3 of them being clear) before Mahrez's goal. Ancelotti and the boys did some amazing work, and the Italian's gameplan was superior to Guardiola's (We all thought he was crazy by taking off Modric, Casemiro and Kroos but he knew what he was doing) and Pep's team wasted time from the first minute, once again giving legitimacy to *that* playstile.

Madrid had more chances up until the mahrez goal which I think should've been saved. It was on the near side of the keeper. The way the game is being analysed its as if city had the god given right to go through. Hopefully they can beat Liverpool next.

    Make no mistake Camavinga is the absolute real deal. He’s being schooled the right way and is in the best football institution. Rodrygo is just out of this world. This Madrid under construction team is ahead of schedule and can do magic. The youth academy have great role models to look up. Their power is about never giving up and the ultimate belief and that’s a lesson for each of us. That’s the main point and they’ve been making good use of that so far. City showed complacency and somehow underestimate the best team in UCL. Pep as great as he is still make mistakes and he’s learning and it’s part of the game. This is the proof that strategy tactics doesn’t make it all. The history of Madrid their charisma their serial winning mentality makes the difference. Not only they showed it against city but also vs psg and Chelsea and if liverpool thinks of themselves as favorites they would make things harder for themselves believe it or not.

    This guys have a short memory, Real Madrid played against a peak Barca who were better at possession & creating chances, even better at taking chances than Man C. These pundits don't realize that the better team is the one who can do in few moments or minutes what the other team is trying to do in 90min or 180min.
    Real Madrid don't mind Man C having possession or chances, what mattered was goals. Real Madrid would have won earlier if Benzema or Vinicius were in their usual form.

    City’s were the better team. I can admit that as a Real supporter. But…
    What’s lost in the coverage of Madrid’s comebacks is the quality of the goals. Those were quality goals that Real scored. They methodically worked that first goal. That was intended by Camavinga. It ain’t like they bobbled into the net or deflected off a couple players.

    • @blackmage567
      @blackmage567 2 роки тому +10

      This 2nd match feels weird because city started to be dangerous around that time, after they scored.
      The rest of the match was not really favoring city. It was kinda both ways. Madrid was putting the ball in city's box a lot and was failing hard on the final pass or to get the shot. If those 2 goals had happened before city's goal nobody would say city was superior.

    • @Hello-Mr-DJ
      @Hello-Mr-DJ 2 роки тому +4

      @@blackmage567 I agree. Outside of Silvia’s shot at goal on the first half, we kept them at bay until Mahrez goal.
      They barely threatened, and both teams had moments of pressure without that final quality touch (I remember 2 Vinicius bad touches in the box). And even saying that, we had that other missed sitter by Vinicius at the start of the second half. We weren’t overrun last night (despite what everyone says), until the Mahrez goal when everyone pushed forward.

The reason why Manchester City lost because they lacks true characters to play lin CL. Mancity is a very strong team but mentally weak. THIS REAL MADRID is not the strongest version of Real Madrid. But this Real Madrid can be deadly in every - lettle - chance - they - get. When it comes to CL, do not think that you just can hurt real madrid and thinking that you will be okay. You have to bury real madrid completely or they ALWAYS will get a chance to do something magical. And once real madrid scores a counter goal, YOU'RE DONE. REAL MADRID WILL TAKE OVER MENTALLY.

      Pep's post-Barca teams have had no back bone. He's never turned losers into winners once in his career.
      Compare to Mourinho. He's a toxic animal but his teams fight to the death. He gives them that mentality. He brought that mentality to Madrid when they were like Man City in the 00s - full of stars & would still find a way to lose everything.

Pep does play his teams with A TON of control, and he has clashed a fair bit w the huge personality players. When things go off schedule, him and his players have got the deer in the headlights look to them. They really don't have a viera/keane/gerrard/ronaldo type leader on-pitch who can ring the alarm bell to let teammates know to step it up in times of stress.

    harsh truth: Pep is massively overrated & spineless who lucked out managing a barca dream team of a lifetime. He isn't a leader & this reflects in his squads. Madrid doesnt have the best squad but Ancelotti is a winner & their leaders - Benzema, Marcelo, Modric, etc. - have won 4 CL Titles. That mentality is engrained in the core of the squad. That's the difference. RM stays calm under pressure & MC falls apart the first sign of trouble. It's not a player issue, it's a leadership/experience issue.
