Good job. I'm a builder from the uk, where we let so much of our manufacturing go to other countries it is very hard to get quality built at home now. After Looking through the comments I think it’s worth maybe considering some perspective on origin. They are slowly becoming a full line clothing brand that has things from shirts / jeans / belts & other stuff… but all of it is made in the USA and 100% sourced in the USA. It’s easy to argue that nick’s or white’s is doing that too and has been for years and has 100% USA boots … and maybe the duty level of smokejumpers exceeds the new origin work boot … but so what, there are different duty demands and different products to suit them. I am so supportive of origin because they are building a 100% American made and sourced line of products which will contribute to the return of USA production in a larger scale way. The NW boot guys are great and doing great things too… it’s just kind of a different business model and strategy in my opinion.
Good luck, bro! Let’s make stuff again! I’m a 4th generation PNW native. I’ll never be one to veer away from my White’s, Nick’s, Frank’s, Wesco, and/or Danner’s. IMHO, these manufacturers are on a different level than the rest of the competition. My Smoke Jumpers use glue that withstands brutal temperatures and deserves the red lug Vibrams.
@@petrosspetrosgali definitely true. Whites literally last a lifetime. Literally. These origins are cool. But they're not meant for the type of work that Whites are meant for.

America needs more American made boots. I’ve been wearing Danner’s for 30+ years and a waterproof option would be a great addition to your boot line. For those of us that work standing on concrete floors all day a wedge/Vibram Christy sole is mandatory as well. Looking forward to seeing your boot line grow with new additions 🍻

Are you trying to say that Origin stopped manufacturing boots in a foreign country and started manufacturing in the US because they saw an opening in the market?
My Wesco Jobmasters are 10 years old have been rebuilt once and resoled three times. People lose there mind when boots cost $500 but when you realize they will last 10-20 years the price is pretty low.
Great video! But for the price, you should be using a full veg tan leather footbed (i.e. lasting board, insole, etc.) Stick a high quality Ortholite replaceable insole in the boot for comfort, like White's and Danner's, and call it a day.
Insulated work boots for the cold winter? Currently thawing out my toes in a pair of steel toe Wolverine boots at a construction site near Dulles Airport.
If you really believe in how great they are.... You should send a pair ot Rose Anvil here on youtube. Let him show the world how they are really made. If it really is good he will let everyone know. If not... well he will let everyone know that too.
@@dsdiesel8667 So far they have been great. They have held up to everyday wear at a waist water treatment plant and multiple times of using a dolly where you must use your toe to tilt it. One thing I have not liked it, it took a long time for the die they used on the leather to stop leaching out onto my socks. At the end of a hard day i'd take them off to see brown/black die from the boot on my white socks. This kept on for about a month.
Most of those companies don’t use all American made components. Yes they might be assembled here, but origin wants to get ALL components made here AND built here

I've asked this question on your instagram page and now I'm trying again. No stitching in the heel? Another video said "cement lasted". The heel is glued, not stitched? Not nail-bottomed? Just glued? I can't get a direct answer.
They look great, I was really interested all the way up till you said water resistant not waterproof....I work in the northeast and we all look for waterproof boots, puncture resistant soles are nice too, I don't mind paying for the boots as long as they hold up!! All these other brands mass produce these things now and quality for price is a huge issue...these are just my opinions from someone who's done construction, landscaping etc for 25+ yrs. Looking forward to seeing where you go with these because they look great!!
There’s no leather boot that is water proof. They will eventually get soaked. To make them highly water resistant you can use mink oil or beeswax. If you want waterproof, try muck boots.
@Dylan De La Rosa I've been wearing timberland pro boondocks for 2 yrs now, they're definitely waterproof...I haven't had a single time they've leaked. They're advertised as waterproof too not water resistant, and are half the price of these...but I'm always looking for something else, that's why I watched the video...and like I said he had me till he said water resistant not waterproof. Muck boots are nowhere near as comfortable for everyday use or I would just wear those...just always looking for the next best thing is all
@@kazper4137timberlands are imported from God knows where lol. I was bitching about price but they are all hand made completely in America so I think they are worth it and I'm willing to give them a shot for the good ol 🇺🇸! I have always treated my boots with mink oil and it works great!
@Good DieYoung I'm all for the made in the US stuff. Don't get me wrong, but if it's an inferior product for twice the price? Not saying they are inferior, but advertised as water resistant was a turn off for me, and at $400 to boot (pun intended) I would love to try a pair as dailies for the next 2 yrs like my boondocks and compare...just won't be a sucker just for the made in America part, feel like people try to take advantage of that now a days and hard working Americans by slapping that on their products. No need for a Rose Anvil “cut the boot in half” review - we can see the materials right here! I applaud Origin’s transparency. Cool boots for sure. However, other than the leather mid-sole, I don’t see how these are better than Made in the USA Thorogood or Carolina work boots that cost a lot less money. I’m glad to see another quality boot maker in the US, but Jocko should really cool it on the “we’re the only ones bringing footwear manufacturing back to America” marketing stuff.
You guys can't come out saying you make "the best American work boot" when brands like Nick's, Whites, and Red Wing exist. They're nice boots, but far from "the best."
Agree, those synthetic materials will break down a good year or two before the all leather in nicks. However the price reflects that though at $378 vs $525
Haven't tried Nicks yet but Wesco really needs to be in these conversations as well. My Jobmasters have been rebuilt once and resoled three times in 10 years. I love Origin but I don't think they know what being the best American made boot means.

My Wesco Jobmasters are 10 years old have been rebuilt once and resoled three times. People lose there mind when boots cost $500 but when you realize they will last 10-20 years the price is pretty low.
I'd love to see a Rose Anvil review!
Everyone in the PNW: "good luck"
Yes @poron this is a good staff
Yes!!! Finally, I messaged y’all months ago about this. I destroy boots. Looking forward to seeing what y’all came up with!!!
Great video! But for the price, you should be using a full veg tan leather footbed (i.e. lasting board, insole, etc.) Stick a high quality Ortholite replaceable insole in the boot for comfort, like White's and Danner's, and call it a day.
Any chance your going to be making tactical boots for LE or military?
Insulated work boots for the cold winter? Currently thawing out my toes in a pair of steel toe Wolverine boots at a construction site near Dulles Airport.
If you really believe in how great they are.... You should send a pair ot Rose Anvil here on youtube. Let him show the world how they are really made. If it really is good he will let everyone know. If not... well he will let everyone know that too.
Nicks and White's boots make great boots in the USA, with all USA leather.
I’ve been waiting for this.
Best of luck bringing it back to the USA. This country needs to know what made in America means again
Any plans to offer a duty boot for FIRE/EMS? NFPA certified
Looks like a design from the Pacific Northwest boots
Thank you!
Big-Lug Carbon! I wanted mini but the size stops at 12 so I'm gonna give a new style a spin.
I ordered a pair a couple weeks ago. Sure hope they are worth the price tag. Also hope they last a while.
How you liking them so far?
@@dsdiesel8667 So far they have been great. They have held up to everyday wear at a waist water treatment plant and multiple times of using a dolly where you must use your toe to tilt it. One thing I have not liked it, it took a long time for the die they used on the leather to stop leaching out onto my socks. At the end of a hard day i'd take them off to see brown/black die from the boot on my white socks. This kept on for about a month.
Nice job!!
American made .amen brother .
America HAS American made boots, with American made materials. Nicks, whites, Wesco, franks, and jk boots just to name a few
Amen. I am curious to see a review between Origin boots vs Red Wing or other brands in the same price range.
Most of those companies don’t use all American made components. Yes they might be assembled here, but origin wants to get ALL components made here AND built here
True, but those companies you have a several month waiting period.
I Love it!!! I already own and only buy USA built safety toe boots, I own White’s Boots and I even support Canada with Viberg Boots, But I will buy some Origins..👍🇺🇸
Outstanding.
you guys should do a lineman boot
Got a pair and I wear them literally every day, felt broken win when i first got them cant really imagine wearing a different boot
Looks awesome!
They look good....I'm not buying any until they are evaluated by Rose Anvil. If you guys are firmly behind the product, send a pair over for him to eval.
You had me at built
I was looking up UA-cam reviews for these boots and then I realized this video on is only 3 weeks old.
Any plans for a waterproof pull on version?
Now, we just need a boot for motorcycle riders, and leather old school trainers. Then I'll need no other shoe manufacturer lol
When you make them in women's size 7.5, I will be right there!
I've asked this question on your instagram page and now I'm trying again. No stitching in the heel? Another video said "cement lasted". The heel is glued, not stitched? Not nail-bottomed? Just glued? I can't get a direct answer.
The comeback of the USA: BUILD BOOT BETTER
Once again not saying they are, but $400 is a lot of cash to find out.....I've always used beeswax (3 times a yr) but have heard great things about mink oil, think I will try that on my next set of boots whatever they will be
@@kazper4137 i understand completely and from one working man to the other only wish you the best! Ill have to try beeswax as I never have. If I can get back to this and remember this lol, I will let you know how they work when I get them and if they don't work out I'll start over lmao and be very mad to waste $380...they were 380 after 10% discount, tax, and shipping which was hard to swallow but hoping its worth it.
you need to had a shock proof to the back of the heel, make it waterproof for the formwork boys down in the mud pit
Any plans on a low top version?
What waterproofing treatments do you recommend for your work boot?
Nick's: "Hold my *boot"*
Yes!
🇺🇸OUTFUCKINGSTANDING🇺🇸 Doing it near Bernie's region of the USA is priceless.
They still make this is re- named The Work Boot.
Hey I’m from Maine !
I’m glad to see another quality boot maker in the US, but Jocko should really cool it on the “we’re the only ones bringing footwear manufacturing back to America” marketing stuff.
looking to know what and if there is a warranty with these boots looked on the site wasn't able to find
I just bought a pair. Do you guys have any tips on how to take care of them?
You guys can't come out saying you make "the best American work boot" when brands like Nick's, Whites, and Red Wing exist. They're nice boots, but far from "the best."
Whites I heard were the best. I like my thurogoods way more than Redwings however
Agree, those synthetic materials will break down a good year or two before the all leather in nicks. However the price reflects that though at $378 vs $525
Redwings doesn't make all their boots in the US but Nick's and White's seem to be the top
Haven't tried Nicks yet but Wesco really needs to be in these conversations as well. My Jobmasters have been rebuilt once and resoled three times in 10 years. I love Origin but I don't think they know what being the best American made boot means.
They don't focus on sourcing every part from the US and they're nearly double $ or more.
