MrDarenhayes Well actually, her Heritage is Haitian, but she was born in Montreal. She had never been to Haiti until Arcade Fire was finally able to tour there, where they got inspired to make the epic album, Reflektor.

I just stumbled across this album and Reflektor this year after not listening to them for awhile. I personally think that this album is a masterpiece and incredibly underrated. They are my current favorite band at the moment.

This song makes me happy. The evolution of this band is just amazing. Every song, every word resonates with my soul. I love, love, love AF and I can't wait to see them in Austin. To quote Win, "you're not trying to make music to please everyone. You just have to make it for yourself." And that's what makes this band amazing. My daughter, who is now 8, has been brought up on Arcade Fire and this album is by far her favorite. She already knows every word to Put Your Money on Me!
By far my fav song/video. This song made my whole 2019, after watching the video today feb 2020. I think they did an excellent job matching the song with the video.... I did several scenes inside my head while listening to this song. Can’t even explain the feeling. Just thank you Arcade Fire!!!
I love the vibe. The electric, MGMT like, feeling. I'm sure the new album will be an amazing trip (again), seen through the eyes of Win, Régine and the other members. Art? Yes. Different? Yes. But hey, they are changing. As you and I are changing as well. Their meaning in life. Feelings about music. If this is their new sound, phase or station: face it. If you don't like it: face it (and listen to other music). Arcade Fire is my favourite band. I dig it.
Except this one opens with sound bites of old school....reminiscent of Genius of Love by Tom Tom club, also some flavour of even Grandmaster Flash maybe.
You can't call yourself a fan if you can't handle your favorite band evolving their music and going into a new direction. Everything about this is great.
Crap is a very subjective and indivual thing. So is awesome music. I guess what Christian Stabulis was trying to say is that it's a pity that some people want their favourite artists to always sound the same. If that's not your reason for disliking, fair enough, but it seems to be the case for others. Either way, your thoughts and feelings about their music are as valid as everyone else's.
I personally was less than enthusiastic about pretty much everything they did after Funeral. (With the exception of Sprawls II and Reflektor, the song and video.) They lost me with Black Mirror, but now they're coming back for me full circle and everything kinda makes sense.
That's very Untrue and Unfair. Artist can evolve their music , But it still has to be good to the listener Example- People who like a Hard-Rock band probably like them because they like the bands style or that they exclusively like Hard-Rock music...They're not gonna keep following the band if they suddenly make Mainstream-Pop songs. That's just not gonna happen. Case in point
No, artists are not obliged to pander to their audience's tastes, actually when they find an audience and just make music that keeps that market satisfied, that's going into a mainstream direction. Arcade Fire want to make different music, and like other artists they know that they can't please everyone, everyone is subjective, but an artist has to stay true to what they believe will express what is important to them and what they want to contribute to the world.
I can understand people who are disappointed and actually myself I keep listening to the 3 first albums thinking god that was pure gold how can a band be so powerful.. but I am enjoying their new songs because instead of other bands they are innovating and they make me listen to music I wouldn't have listened without them, that's the proof that they are real artists they keep innovating. You should be happy that they are still doing music with passion because themselves they are discovering new way of doing "Arcade Fire music". And even if I don't enjoy it as much as their previous ones (that I truly love), I am glad they keep pushing further their art. TRUE ARTISTS THANK YOU ARCADE FIRE.
So we finally come to the end with another upbeat, rhythmic, synthpop, electronic, bullshit record. This is just a rehashing of the mostly uninspiring Reflektor sound with the lyrical and songwriting mediocrity of The Suburbs. They've run out of ideas and are rerunning themselves into a rapid cliched decline. So what happened to the Arcade Fire we knew? Where is the innovative and progressive indie/alt rock sound with the stings, horns and accordion etc? What happened to the dark, brooding, emotive, cathartic sound? Where is the mystery and intrigue? The band that produced "pure gold" as you say are done and dusted. This is not a "new way" of doing Arcade Fire. This is just another band which happens to have the same name and same band members.
When AF first came out in the early 2000s it was not just "all about the sound". It was the sound, AND the lyrics AND the instrumentation AND the themes AND the innovation AND the emotion AND the feeling AND the mystery AND the novelty... I guess they really did do everything and gave us everything and so they've run out of ideas now.
lleon79 Some people really can't handle change. It's sad really, but if they don't have the capability to change, let's not force them to. Let them grovel all they want while we dance and sing along to these awesome songs.
lleon79 people miss the years from Funeral, Neon Bible and The Suburbs. I enjoyed their previous albums through and through. I'm actually excited for this one it's different from anything they've made but it does sound very different in a good way. If this album isn't as successful as their first few I'm sure Arcade Fire will go back to their original sound.
Steven Boland right! Did anyone expect Arcade Fire to be the type of band where every song and album sound the same? No way, that's why we love them. They always evolve and they are trying to make meaningful music we can still dance to
lleon79 I can only speak for myself when I say this, but I have no problem with change - quite the contrary. What I do have a problem with is a once very original band turning into any other generic rock act that dabbles with electronic music. The reason why I've loved AF throughout the years is the fact that they always knew how to not let their influences define them. With the new songs all I can hear now are those influences. They have proven in the past that they can do change like few other bands can but these new singles sound like something I would hear at clubs in the early 2000s. It's neither new nor fresh.
muito bom o sim gostoso de ouvir, È esse Clip que apesar de ter cudo gravado no meio do lixo e entulho de algum Carnaval qualquer me senti em casa aqui no RJ!! thank you so much, you guys are incredible.!!!
Being a New Orleans native and huge Arcade Fire fan from Funeral to Reflektor, this video is soooooo cool. They literally made a stunning music video among the pick up crew after the Muses Mardi Gras parade last February! They even filmed on the street (Napoleon Avenue) I watched the parade on that night! Who knew an hour or so later they would be filming.
She really does have the look and talent to have been a pop princess. I’m so thrilled she chose not to be a sellout and work with her band to make, produce and perform serious music
I love Regine's pensiveness. She's a sweetheart, and her voice (even if auto-tuned), still manages to outshine all of the other effects. This song isn't trying to hide that it was edited, in fact, it is embracing it, and well! Arcade Fire is a band of a lifetime. They keep growing with every album
This and Afterlife have a special place in my heart and my musical psyche. Arcade fire are mega. Mega mega mega. Régine is a goddess.

lleon79 people miss the years from Funeral, Neon Bible and The Suburbs.
Es un enorme placer escuchar música nueva de Fuego Arcadia! 😆 amo sus vídeos y música, sigan así banda! Nos vemos pronto en México!
Thank you God, for making me share the same galaxy of these incredible artists and friends. Speechless.
COOLEST VIDEO/SONG EVER...can't get this out of my head
This song is healing.
Thank you, Arcade Fire. ♡
muito bom o sim gostoso de ouvir, È esse Clip que apesar de ter cudo gravado no meio do lixo e entulho de algum Carnaval qualquer me senti em casa aqui no RJ!!

SLAAAAAAAAY REGINEEEE SLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY
Gracias por todo esto arcade fire !
Every time I hear this song, I want to go roller skating. That's a compliment. This song is a great example of them at their quirky best! ❤
Me encanta la nueva propuesta musical de arcade fire 🔥 en especial electro blue de Regina
Fantastic sound here. Cocteau Twins/Kate Bush goes euro-disco. Been a fan since 2004. Such an incredible band.
Sounds nothing like Cocteau twins.
I hear Blondie as the main influence in this song.
Didn't care for this song at first, but now I can't get enough.
DBCOOPER do whatever you can to see it live!
It's almost like they do that on purpose.. lol
I can't get my mind around it. I thought I found it, but I found out this song is the shit!
weak effort by Arcade Fire in my opinion.....this song still hasn't grown on me
I had to get over the 2nd coming of the 70s and now I'm ready to put on my disco jumpsuit.
Cant hear it always stuck these days....miss this song....
Love the aerial fade out.
colombia 🇨🇴 presente !!!' 🖤🖤🖤
LIBEREM LOGO ESSE ÁLBUM TODO, PELO AMOR DOS DEUSES NOVOS E ANTIGOS!
The more I find the better they get. Bless!!! XXX
Dios no sé cómo me acordé de esta canción, pura casualidad. Había olvidado lo buena que era. Nada como estar triste y mover los pies.
Arcade still got the 🔥
Me dan tantas ganas de bailar al escuchar esta canción de Arcade fire
Seriously tho...how good is this song?!
It’s wonderful and DREAMY! 💜
arcade fire are just incredible! hopeful of a UK arena tour soon!
Queen.
She really does have the look and talent to have been a pop princess. I’m so thrilled she chose not to be a sellout and work with her band to make, produce and perform serious music
I think that I'm going to love the upcoming album
This video was a good idea!!!! Whoever thought to film it in the aftermath of Mardi Gras made a super smart decision.
I love Regine's pensiveness. She's a sweetheart, and her voice (even if auto-tuned), still manages to outshine all of the other effects. This song isn't trying to hide that it was edited, in fact, it is embracing it, and well! Arcade Fire is a band of a lifetime. They keep growing with every album
auto-tuned, really? you think so?
Thank you so much for this video Arcade Fire.
Este video debería tener más de mil millones de vistas.
The Jacket, Hair, and Bodysuit is goals alone. How about the song? Amazing!!!! But win is definitely somewhere in the video. Trying to spot him!!!
i think he's dancing by the end when the camera shoots out.
Socorroo!!!! Tragam o Arcade Fire para o Brasil!!
By far the best song on Everything Now
In love with this band. Pure total hits. Amazing, this talent!!!!!!
My favorite song, and a huge affection for Régine. (🇧🇷)
Cadê Cadê os brasileiros fãs dessa banda incrível??
i didn't like this song or most of this album, but now I love everything about it.
She's my spirit animal!!!
This song is giving me LIFE!!!
