- Over 1 million Indian men and women have served under the UN flag in more than 70 peace keeping operations. However, what is remarkable is that in the earlier years, peacekeeping was limited to maintaining ceasefires and stabilizing situations. Today, they are called upon not only to maintain peace and security but also protect civilians, disarm combatants, support elections in conflict zones and restore the rule of law.
The film spotlights the multi-dimensional role of the peacekeepers and India’s contribution to the organization over the years. India has contributed more troops to UN peacekeeping than any other country. And they have helped the local communities with a range of services. Currently more than 7000 Indian troops are deployed in 10 UN Peace keeping missions.
This is a story of their courage and dedication. Traveling four continents via helicopters, on foot and riverine patrols, we go to the most dangerous hotspots in the world to capture the untold story of the Indian peacekeeper’s struggle and sacrifice.

A really touching document of the ever serving Indian Forces protecting the most sensitive areas in the world. Co-incidentally, I happened to watch this video on the day when de-escalation at East Ladakh has started. It makes my heart swell with pride to see our forces touching so many hearts and excelling both as peacekeepers and as warriors, in any given situation and environment, across the globe. There are three comments which struck me the most in this documentary.....1. The Indian forces are large hearted. 2. The Indian Army is a people's army. 3. Indian Forces are found in the most inhospitable regions of the world. All of these are a testament of the Indian Culture, which inspires 'nishkam karma' (selfless service) perfectly blended with top class Professionalism. This is only possible in the Indian Army - true fighters for dignity and peace for themselves and for anyone who seeks it. Jai Hind 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳 !!

5:29 reminds me of my grandfather, Dr. Chittaranjan Acharya, who was a vet in the Indian Army and served in the '65 and '71 wars in the Western sector. He used to tell me stories of how his seniors taught him how to operate on and treat war camels in just a month's time.
