I grew up in a farming community where there were green , orange , red ; other color tractors that all got the work done ...... The farming equipment was the same , multiple colors with some being better than others .... Companies competing in the market place helps to bring better products to the consumer .....
From looking at old ads it seems that the companies emphasized reliability , easy of repair and fuel economy more than anything else. Testimonials were big too.
Nice video, i did not know that fixed postion for the fast hitch.. Last year i picked up a 450 and a 300 on a packaged deal.. i didnt know the 450 gas was a popular tractor.. Im always looking and do not see any of the 450 or 300 ever come for sale.
IH only made the 450 from 1956 to 1958. It was a good seller but by 1958 farmers wanted more horsepower. The 560 came out in 1959 and took over the lead as IH’s high horsepower row crop tractor. They don’t come up for sale very often around here either.
Not sure what you’re referring to. The fast hitch drawbar I have attached to the fast hitch arms like a fast hitch plow and doesn’t swing. Didn’t know you could get one that swings. Would like to see a picture of yours.

I like the idea of having the hitch fixed does it matter if I have the swing drawbar?
