Pretty cool Brother
wow i want one
If the owners would like correct Ferguson headlights, work light and tail light. I might be able to point them in the right direction for those parts.
I don’t know the owner but will mention it to the restorer. Thanks
Lucky your soybeans were clean. Those old combines couldn't handle to much green stuff.
This year I’ve got morning glories. Need a good frost before I combine.
Great bit of kit , sounded as sweet as a nut 👍🏴
Nice
Pretty nice Brother
Nice tractor and mower. Maybe you can find a later model one day that was for the 300 and up. But it is working for you. You know what you are doing. Thanks for sharing the video. You have some very nice machinery.
Thanks for your kind words.
That's so cool
Thanks Roger, great video. That 720 with the four bottom knew what he was there for. I was looking for the Mighty 730! Thanks again
G day from Ontario. Boy that JD with furrows was not set up at all Nice video Ths
When was that chopped?
Thanks for sharing
The John Deere 620 in the video at two minutes and one second sounds like it’s not running right
@@rudycarlson8245 Did seem to be missing a bit.
@@rogermiller7411 for someone that grew up with these kind of tractors easy to recognize when they are not running right!
@@rogermiller7411 I meant to add this in my last post I am definitely a John Deere man. The first thing I drove was a 50 to 52 model A and I had a 1949 model B for five years that two cylinder pop is ingrained on my brain, and I do not want it to leave! Excellent video as usual!
Oh my god, I just watched a promo video for this machine. I ordered 2. Waiting for delivery.
The first plow is MINNEAPOLIS MOLINE D
Thanks! Had no idea.
Excelente tractor muy prolijo, linea 20 los mas lindos.
Congratulations glad to see your eagle hitch , steps are all intact my father still has 400 401 diesel 1956 well taken care of an runs well as a kid i logged a lot of hrs on the old girl dad still has an 870 an 970 open station black knight's were in indiana
What is the name of the tractor shop in Weston, Ohio. Thank you
It’s called The Tractor Shop. It’s in West Elkton Ohio. The guy to call is Tim at 937-830-8354.
The M should of worked nicely
@@alanfitzgerald9026 It’s probably a little tired. Needs an engine rebuild.
Brings back memories growing up on a freestall operation in Amsterdam NY in the 70s.
Job well done! Awesome looking 4020 John Deere.
Awesome tractor
Nice looking 4020
I know the claims about the 4020 and how well JD sells. However, from everything I've seen and read, IH 800 series tractors were all better tractors than the 4020. The 806, the 826 and the 856 were all better.
The 806 was a great tractor. But IH couldn’t introduce it until 1963. By then John Deere had a 3 year period to establish dominance.
@@rogermiller7411 People pay for the name more than the product. I'd rather pay less for a better product any day. That's just good business.
@@williamsnipes7608 Agreed.
Until the TA went out on the IH's...that was a serious weak link.
@@greg10469 Nope
I wonder how much dealers had to discount the last 2 cylinders to clear them out? It was a poorly kept secret that Deere was about to release the next vision to the world! Even in our small farming area, there were several 3010 and 4010 diesels. And they were great! I never felt that the 30 series of 2 cyl were in demand until these days of collecting.
I remember going to a plowing demonstration with my Dad that a neighbor who had bought 2 4010’s but on with the local John Deere dealer. There was still brand loyalty though so one neighbor who was Oliver bought a new 1800a and another who was IH got a 560.
Very nice Roger. My brother just got done giving our 69 4020 a complete overhaul and new clutch. It had 14,000 hours on it without the engine ever being touched. The 4020 is a great tractor for sure!
Thanks again for posting. I enjoy the narration, original sound and variety at your event.
@@bueno7052 Thanks!
YAK YAK YAK !!!!
Great sound!
i have used the vac a lot working on a farm great little tractor.lots of power for there size.
Awesome videos keep them coming, I was wondering how many acres did the farm have your dad had farmed with one of those tractors? I kinda miss the times when a small farm was enough to pay the bills and etc. but I still believe even is possible now a days
40 acres owned and about 10-15 acres rented for pasture. Used all the grain for feed for the dairy cows, hogs and chickens. Lots of egg laying chickens. Grandpa and Grandma and a cousin lived in the big farm house and my family of 6 lived in a 3 room house with no running water. Big garden and an orchard. Never went hungry and had plenty to do. My dad did work with my uncles house painting and was able to save enough money to build a nice 3 bedroom home in 1958. It could be done today but instead of selling your milk and animals to middle men you need a retail market.
Got to be in 3rd gear
Apparently you know the “whine” of an Oliver in each gear.
Mt 450 has a fast hitch and u have a 3-16 fast hitch plow and I have to say the fast hitch is the best hitch type ever
It's a 1953 or early 1954 66 not a 60.
Think she could have handled a cultipacker behind the disc too? I’m guessing so, looks like the old gal was handling the 12’ disc well! I got a 10’ disc I wanna pull will a cultipacker
I’d say you should be able to do that in 3rd gear with good rear weights.
Love it. We round bale. I miss the old squares a little
I truly enjoy your videos. This is another good one.
Thanks so much!
I know this is a wierd request but my ji 400 case case a few missing pto linkages and I THINK it is stuck on not sure because it turns when I start the tractor and I can't get it to turn off. Unless I work the pto then sometimes it slips. Will you please do a walk around video of your tractor while turning the pto on so I can see how yours acts??
Mine runs all the time as well. I understand that is common for a 400 and can be fixed but a costly expense. When I hook up to my baler I turn the tractor off and then attach the baler pto shaft. When I start the tractor the pto doesn’t nun until I engage it with the pto lever. Not ideal but it’s safer to do it that way even if it was working right.
If the pto clutch is operating correctly, you can stop it with your hand. ( not recommended) We always put the power shaft up to it and let it chatter to a stop
The 400's didn't get a PTO brake until the Super Diesels came out, just before the 800 Case-o-matics came out. That means the PTO shaft will turn all the time as there is nothing to hold it fast when it is disengaged. Not much you can do to solve this.
Where do you live?
Southwestern Ohio
We farm in se south dakota. Our first self propelled combine was a 45. It was a monster compared to our ford with a air cooled engine.
This is a step up for me. Before I was using a pull type JD 42. You can see it run on my Utube channel. I sold it to an Amish farmer who adapted it to horse drawn use. You can see it in action on my channel as well. Thanks for watching.
I immediately noticed the un-shrouded PTO shaft and said a quick prayer that O-h-sh-a does not snoop the farm channels. But, later when you pointed out that the belt also was un-shrouded I cringed and said another screw the f-Ed’s prayer for you.
Definitely going to put the belt shield on but I don’t have the pto shield. Hard to find. I rigged up a step on the left front side of the tractor so I don’t have to get off it from the rear.
ih/mf man here but case was good equiptment also not as styleish but built just as good internally have nh 76/77 baler they had a overhead cramer but i like that case betternever saw one like it
My grandpa had a 130 baler just like that and his had the Wisconsin motor on it. It was still used until around 1978 Sat in his barn for years…in good shape…would have been a great restoration project. Unfortunately, he sold it to an amishman who let it sit outside for a few years and eventually it was scrapped 😢
Bales look nice and tight
They are. Never broke a bale after the twine got sorted out.
😊 it brings back memories of my younger days, A local farmer I worked for had a AC 190 and a New Holland baler and we " I "would stack 100 bales on a wagon and would do 5-6 wagons a day. Dumb as it sounds I kinda miss that but now my body is wore out from doing back breaking jobs.
I miss those days too. If I have to stack I would think 100 would be my limit.
I forgot to one farmer used the AC Roto baler, I had to pick them up and toss them to him as he stacked them on a small wagon, found out later that AC made a bale conver that ran beside the tractor to do it. I'm 57 and still love the smell of hay drying.😊😊😊
Nice looking older equipment. Still in good working order and baling some nice looking bales too.
The baler went unused from about 1955 until 2012. It was kept in a shed most of its life but was completely frozen up when I got it. After a lot of coaxing and penetrating oil it started to work. I would have kept the Wisconsin engine that originally powered it but the engine started leaking oil and when I had a chance to get a donor 130 baler with a pto drive I decided to go that way.
@@rogermiller7411 it is a whole lot more reliable without the Wisconsin motor on it. Grandpa had a few on the old New Holland balers and he and my Dad said when you started them in the morning you didn't shut them off till the end of the day. I know a man that has a couple Case balers and he always liked them. Thanks so much for sharing the videos. Good hearing from you too.
@nathanalmond8280 what is the man's name that has a few case balers I Need parts
Wheat looks like it's doing well!
Made about 70 bushels per acre.
@@rogermiller7411 great!
I would love to see an in depth video on that baler, I've never seen one with side knotters
That’s a good idea. Once I get the shield for the flywheel on it I will do that.
It's great seeing that CASE equipment at work. Thanks for posting these videos. That old Case baler makes some nice bales.
Didn’t tie a few bales early but once I pulled the twine out to get to the unexposed twine it didn’t miss a bale.
