Almost a Traditional Thanksgiving Turkey Tales & Cranberry Confessions

- Thanksgiving in the Little House is always a traditional one... almost.
There was that incident a few years back when I put dried cranberries in the stuffing alongside the raisins and apples and scandalized generations of New Englanders with my outrageous behavior.
Otherwise, we stick pretty close to the traditions of our Yankee ancestors, with just a bit of the Southern branch thrown in, rarely varying to far from the well-beloved recipes handed down throughout the generations.
While we've all grown up hearing about that first Thanksgiving shared by the Pilgrims and the Wampanoag tribe there's a bit more to the story of Thanksgivings progression from humble feast at Plymouth to the National Holiday, we celebrate today...
We thought, in case you were as unaware of these facts as we were, that we might share the rest of the story of Thanksgiving.
There will be turkeys, cranberries, pumpkins and a woman who had a vision she was just not willing to let go of. It includes several presidents, an Iconic lady's magazine, a fractured country and a guy who gave up on his law career to become a gentleman cranberry farmer and who pioneered stuffing 200 cranberries into a can, turning them into a Jelly revolutionizing holiday meals worldwide.
We hope you will enjoy the video and that you will maybe learn something fun to share at your own Holiday table. I mean, you might be able to avoid the tops of POLITICS altogether armed with a few of our stories...or at least keep everyone distracted until the last slice of pumpkin pie is served!
Please consider liking, comment, sharing and even subscribing to our UA-cam Channel, if you haven't already, as all of it helps us continue to grow!
Happy Thanksgiving Y'all!
See you next time!
