A cruise up Green Mountain Road - my friend’s 1970 Triumph Bonneville

  • Hello all! I have to apologize for the poor camera angle in this video, this is definitely not the best of my filming skills right here.
But I decided that since it’s my first ride with my friend, Michelle, on her right hand shift Triumph chopper then I would put the video up anyway.
Michelle just recently got her motorcycle permit, so there will hopefully be lots more rides where this came from!
I will definitely be doing another ride up this way with my camera set up properly so it captures the view properly.

My Pan is lonely also, I found a late 1970s Sportster to keep it company in the garage. When the Pan goes out it goes alone. Most of the 'riders' I have met around here just ride from one bar to the next and don't leave town.

I was pretty happy when Michelle got her licence finally! And we both have kicker only so it makes it extra interesting hahah. It’s a miracle if we both get them started within a minute of each other.

Absolutely no apologies required, as this was, in my opinion, one of your better riding videos. Michelle's Triumph is an eye-catcher; reminds me if my of 1970, non-chopped, of course, Triumph TR6R. She rides quite well; I am eagerly awaiting more such rides!

That looked like a great ride! I consider any ride where there is little to no other traffic on the roads! I've always loved seeing your bike on the road, but to have a friend who rides a old Triumph chopper, well that makes a perfect bike pair for a ride. Loved the video, and I didn't think it was a poor camera angle. Made me feel like I was riding your bike and looking at that yellow Bonne straighten out the curves! Keep riding and stay safe up there in B.C.

Wild Horses!? That's flipping awesome! Every time I catch your videos I see something else cool on your bike that I missed before. It makes me want to try something like those on my shovel. Now I can't wait until the next video to see what slick little detail you've done to your bike that I might have missed from the previous videos lol. And who couldn't like a shovel and a triumph cruising some nice scenic roads? Made me a little jealous that I missed the party lol. You two enjoy the ride. 😁😎

It is great having a friend who rides a custom, kicker only bike who I can ride with! I ride alone so often that it makes me really enjoy the times I have company, just ads so much to a ride when you have a friend or two to do it with.

@@RedRiderCanadaBC I know that feeling. I'm usually by myself 98 percent of the time too. I haven't seen any wild horses over here, but I did come up on three deer (two does and one buck). The buck was the last to leave, he was close enough that I could hear his hooves on the pavement as he ran back the way he came. He even still had the velvet on his antlers. Definitely one of the coolest experiences I've come across when I was out on the shovel. 😁

Two beautiful women, two beautiful bikes! I think your camera angle was perfect in the first part. It's great to see your tank and arms and it feels like the viewer is actually riding the route! Most youtube videos have the camera too high and you feel detached from the bike and it gets boring! The only problem was having the little camera on your bars where you did which obscured your friend sometimes and also we lost the fork springs going up and down which is unique and cool to see! why Michelle cross the yellow line at 9 minutes in? Look forward to more such videos!

    • @RedRiderCanadaBC
      @RedRiderCanadaBC  2 роки тому +1

Well that's good to know! I'm experimenting with my camera positions and will likely end up moving the camera on the bars off to the side so that it doesn't block the road. And I'm not sure why she crossed the line when she did that there hahah, I forgot to ask her when we stopped. Thanks for watching!

I painted my first bike the same yellow as your friends Bonnie V. Got a 1969 Honda cl350 in 1975 for $100 US ashen I was 15 spent the year rebuilding it, until I got my drivers license on my 16 Bday, it was the very first year Florida even offered a motorcycle license they had not even added a test for motorcycles. Had a Norton / Triumph bike brought to my place in the 1970’s - It would not start. Had all the needed elements to run, just nothing. That was a kickstart workout. Gave it back to owner… Sometimes I think other folks just want to test one’s; *lack of skill / experience* . Being a young person then, did not mind the challenges. Humbling experience. You have some beautiful country up there in Canada...I would enjoy coming to Canada sometime and going for a ride with you...I was going to mention that your brake line looked to be rubbing your tire but, your dad explained that...nice ride I enjoyed that...keep the shiny side up ✌

First bike I ever owned was a Triumph Bonneville. Man that bike didn't like me. I could ride my dad's jockey shift Indian Chief with no problem

I lived on Green Mountain Road in Colton, Oregon! Known for Christmas trees, dirt bike riding an big foot sightings. Guy on Green Mtn. Rd. raises buffalo an elk. They are fun too watch, just don't touch electric fence!

Looks like you’re front brake line is rubbing on your tire🥰

the brake line doesn't rub. it just looks like that when the bike is parked. it's solid mounted to the frame because the master cylinder is under the gas tank.
it's a braided stainless teflon line and it's not real flexible
