Where are you located? I'm here in Southeast virginia. Temperatures have finally seemed to break into the 80s here from 90s. Kentucky bluegrass seed germinates best from
50-65 degrees soil temperature which means your better off waiting till the air temp is 75-80. This is the first time doing a high dollar fescue/kbg mix. I'm trying to transition to all kbg. My fear is burning up the seed with high temps. Be careful and make sure you keep water on the lawn. I just seeded yesterday after dethatching/scarifying to get all the junk out of the yard. Good luck and hopefully the temps go down so we have good results

Great video Shane! Good luck with the KBG. Hopefully it works. One thing with KBG is be patient with it. Sometimes it doesn't really come into full maturity until its second season. 👊🏼

Should I till my lawn and mix in compost and peat moss to create a healthy loam in my lawn. Getting my dirt right I'd hope. I've just been warned about tilling that it could cause burmuda to explode in growth. I'm in Ky. If you can help that would be so appreciated. You're straight forward like me and just handle it. I'm just wanting to turn my lawn soil basically into potting soil. Going to be adding biochar as well.

I killed off the Bermuda with a systemic herbicide roundup. Will tilling somehow cause the Bermuda to come back even if I rake all the old dead grasses out? I'm using Ornamec 170 next summer to keep back the Bermuda of I can. You deal alot in warm season grasses and I would like to think you'd be the go to guy to ask how it would go with Bermuda. Thanks bub. And excellent work btw. I'm The Yard Barber in Owensboro Ky and enjoy your videos.

Thanks Joe and with the till I thinks it's 50/50 it's good to add everything to your soil but on the other hand you probably are going to bring up weed seed and bermuda that will activate when the see sunlight again. If your soil is just horrible then till I would say but if not I would maybe just aerate

You must be a mind reader. I just bought some Blue Heat from GCI and was thinking about using it as an overseed in the Bermuda. Hoping it comes out good for both of us.

I'm in Ohio and I'm curious what the Air8 does for seeding? I have all 3 GCF products that you sprayed but was only planning on the RGS and humic. I also have the yard mastery 12-12-12 in the garage too. Really like the videos, keep it up.

Thanks @james Lantz I like using the Air8 at times like this because I don't have to worry about getting it down through the grass canopy I spraying it straight to the ground. Really just a personal thought could be wromg

I have had Kentucky bluegrass seed stay dormant in the winter and pop up in spring. I used outside pride kgb and Scotts kgb in Wisconsin. Hard to water like crazy tho.

@@ShaneHeath I had in ground put in. Bare dirt. 1.5 years into. Looking good but no where near Ryan knorr status. I overseeded with 5 iron perennial rye grass this fall.

I’m interested to see how it goes. All my research I’ve done has been saying midnight was not the best choice for bluemuda because it tends to clump a bit. I went with HGT from barenbrug. It’s just barely visible right now.
