I worked as a librarian with another student at my campus basically we would relieve the actual librarians, so i guess we were sort of like substitute librarians. I loved it, it was such a dream come true because i love books and always wanted to work at the library. Your job is so cool.

omg im from Brentwood! grew up going to that library and I know Justin! I was in marching band with his little brother and sister, so crazy that this popped up in my feed since I haven't been back in Brentwood for years. super cool that the library is making content. the librarians there are responsible for my love of reading and current aspiring author career path :)
I wish I had an office 😭 I work in a smaller rural public library and everyone pitches in with circulation/reference desk. I’m the program director, website developer, and social media manager, and sometimes I wish I had a door I could shut.

A degree in Library and Information Science would be okay.
Check out courses for bachelor's degree or master's degree in library science in your country.
I think a bachelor's is sufficient for most schools, if you wanna aim for Colleges and or public libraries you'd need a masters. Same for being a archivist ( i am aiming for that!)
There's also the option of pursuing a PhD.
Do a BLIS or MLIS course
There is probably enough work in India. Lol

This seems pretty authentic to what my co-workers with similar titles are like. Not quite enough "and then I do outreach or programs and sit in on this meeting and that meeting" though.
He seems like some kind of media coordinator, and if that is the case, then this does look pretty authentic.

In bigger libraries like the one he seems to work at, everyone has a particular department or set role. He looks like he is some kind of media coordinator. I am a program director, website developer, and social media manager for my library, so I don’t catalog as much as I used to sadly. I work in a rural public library, so I still help out at the circulation/reference desk and help people on computers.
