Exactly correct left over short loads that make it difficult to get any miles and lots of slip seating and washing and cleaning a different truck every day or two you might get lucky and stay in the same truck
Great video. Cant wait to see your journey at Walmart . I got approved to work there a year ago but unfortunately i didnt realize you couldn't bring a emotional support animal so i had to decline
So you work at a grocery DC only correct? How do you like it? I plan to apply to a grocery DC that’s 15-20 mins from me as well. I’ve heard it usually less driving miles and more activity overall like you were saying at the beginning. Would you say you make more or less at a grocery DC then a GM?
@syrentertainment135 Yep. I'm enjoying it pretty well. And no, we don't do as much driving but more in activity. I have heard grocery makes a little more, but of course I've never done GM so I can't say for sure. Nice easy gig either way though.
According to a message we received about a week ago after your 1st you can set your ETD earlier than your initial gate time, for example my gate time on FLW is 01:00 am so after that day I’ve been setting it for anywhere between 21:00-23:00 depending on when I get back
For me it took a week and a half to get a response. If you had used a reference it would have put you closer to the top of the waiting list. It all depends on how many applications are waiting at the DC you applied for
Some of them can be heavy, but most of the freight is carry usually scales out pretty good. And there is scales at every dc for you to check the weight before you leave. Out of the DC i work out of, we don't go that far. It's usually a 250 mile radius for us.
I applied to 3 DC’s last week, Corinne UT Red Bluff CA and Centralia WA. This job would change my wife and I’s life, wish me luck brother much love
Welcome to the fleet !
Been here 2 years now and i absolutely love it. Working out of 6809, Mt. Pleasant iowa.
Sounds like a good move, brother. Have a blessed one.🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

I’m hoping to get into Pageland, SC DC. Thanks for the info.

You’re correct. Extra board is whatever is available. I mean it is what it is.
Stay put brother good company

@ sweet! You are the first Walmart driver on here that I’ve seen that works at a grocery DC so I’m subscribed and and will be following your journey 😊

Does Walmart Pay Every Week Or Every 2 Weeks
@TonyJones8732 it's bi-weekly, and they pay on Thursdays, or Wednesday, depending on who your bank is.
@@CountrySlothhow many years driving experience I want to have on my resume before I apply???
You don’t have to wear company uniform ??
I didn't have mine yet at the time of making this video. Yes, you do have to wear uniforms.
Dose Walmart have inward facing cameras?
No not at all
I heard prime will this upcoming year
Yes inside outside
@ ahhhh Okay thanks
You left Dixie?
I need my own truck...i refuse to clean up after a grown person....people are nasty..
You’re only in that truck for 5 or 6 days at a time. Usually on a 3 man rotation so everybody does their part to keep it clean.
I applied to 2 DC’s, one in Mebane,NC and Sutherland,VA. How long is the hiring process?
For me it took a week and a half to get a response. If you had used a reference it would have put you closer to the top of the waiting list. It all depends on how many applications are waiting at the DC you applied for
Do you still need 3 years experience first?
2 and a half years really
Do those loads be heavy? And on an average, how many miles do you guys drive a day?

@ 💯👊🏾✌🏾
Ya'll eventually gonna get replaced by automation/a eye and robots in the DC's. Id say by 32'.

Ever thought bout driving for the post office?
I haven't actually. I always heard it was really hard to get on with
Is that $1200 gross for all dc or just yours.
I'm not sure. I would say that's for all DC's but I couldn't tell you exactly
