FILM DESCRIPTION:
Maj. Benson Payne (Damon Wayans) lives, breathes and sleeps war. But after being honorably discharged from the Marines due to a lack of wars, Payne, the natural-born killer, has absolutely no idea how to cope in everyday civilian life. Fortunately, before he completely breaks down, Payne finds his way back into a military capacity at Madison Preparatory School, leading a group of misfit JROTC students who don't want to be led. Whipping these kids into shape might be his toughest battle yet.

I actually wondered why the geande didnt go off in major Payne hand. Then just now I realised that his finger was keeping the other piece/I forget what its called/ from moving, so that piece didnt ignite it. So it didnt blow until he threw it.
I've never noticed before that he tips his hat and lets all the water slide off right when he says "Slippery..."

i am so proud of the era i grew up in cause these movies are the type one could never get bored of.
Seriously, didn't worry about hurting anyones feelings. OMG! Or follow any PC guidelines, making sure certain people were properly represented. Crist. Just a good, comedic movie, with a good story, that you can watch many times over.

Since the age of ten I've had this entire movie memorized from beginning to end. My family loves the introduction to the cadets scene but this one is a personal favorite. Not sure if it's the heckling Payne does or how the live grenade 'motivates' the whole squad (even Dotson) to complete the course... with great haste.

I'm very surprised Payne didn't insist that both Tiger and Leland sleep in the barracks as well. I guess he did have some understanding about the youngest boys being to little after all.
I like how Tiger finished the course before most of them including Alex. Even at 0:42, he asks the major “why can’t I stay here with the rest of the guys?” He was the truest soldier in the group.
