What i loved is that you had the one that couldn't hear preform blindfolded. That showed that while he couldn't hear he could still do what everyone else could, As he can 'see' but just not in the way people think
Major Payne was a complicated character played to a T by actor Daman Wayans as we watch the ice-cold heart of the psycho drill sergeant ever so slowly warm up as the movie progresses. Until the heartwarming scene where Payne coaxes little Tiger into filling big shoes by reminding him of the toot-toot of The Little Engine That Could. (This scene is not complete until you see the manic military version of the story Major Payne told Tiger earlier.) Amazing movie.
One of my very favorite "feel good" movies! Dad loves it too; the two of us can trade movie quotes from this movie for hours (OK, maybe not that long but for a LONG time).
As my DI used to say "You are the most undisciplined platoon on Parris Island...but goddamnit you've beaten every other platoon for 1st place in everything except drill ORAAH 2030"
One thing that Payne really did teach them well was how to fight but again I guess the cheaters didn't have overwhelming numbers in this fight. 8:27 I believe that the salute wasn't just meant to be towards the cadets but a sign that showed that they truly had earned his respect.
Daman Wayans does the standard stoney-faced military salute at first in response. Then allows a very rare fraction of a smile. What's really interesting is that if more people had sympathy and understanding of the reason child stars tend towards drug abuse to their own detriment, show business would likely not get away with what they've done to these kids making it safer for others but hey ho.
I love this movie. And the funniest part is the rigidity of the military men that only show they are enjoying the show by tapping their feet. Probably the best and least boring show they had seen in a long time
After watching this movie so many years I just realized and saw the deaf dude spoke clearly and said didn't you see "he just tripped him" God dang I was today years old hahahhahahahhaha or something like that
In this video I understand that they are Cadets, in a physical competition, and I remember years ago when I graduated from CULINARY SCHOOL, and a fellow classmate, got a job, as a cook for the Cadets AT WEST POINT in NEW YORK STATE, right off the HUDSON River, and he told me that when the Cadets eat, they have to eat at ATTENTION, which told me that the school is very Strict, everything by the books, and when I got out of the Army and I looked at my DD-214,someone had put me in to go to WEST POINT, but I didn't want to because, as far as I was concerned I had served the Nation, besides if I went, upon graduation I would be a commission Officer 2nd LT.And a lot of people just don't understand that in order to be a proud American, try serving the ARMED FORCES OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, and my twin brother has no regard for the armed services, and I have no respect for him, I look at him as a joke, all talk and no action, and he doesn't understand that AMERICANS had to fight for freedom, and if that means you have to give your life, then so be it, A PROUD AMERICAN, FOR LIBERTY AND THE PERSUIT OF HAPPINESS, TO DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. And the BILL OF RIGHTS ,I might add,but in high school I did three years ROTC,good training.
Want to know what's unsatisfactory, Lieutenant? A man of your age still holding the rank of Lieutenant and STINKING UP THIS MAN'S ARMY! Take a hint and retire!

If i remember correctly the one who did this blind folded actually went to join the Marines silent drill team
For real? Damn!
He was from Petersburg, VA. Born 3/7/77. Died May 23, 2017. I am pretty sure he and I were born in the same hospital.

I loved the Cadence, the little guys were marvelous. Five stars for Major Payne
My favorite Damon Wayans movie!!!!
The Last Boy Scout is my #1, but this is #2.

Major Payne: Go Everyone, Go!
The little people can do big things ❤
It's a Damn shame Orlando Brown fell off like he did, he was a star!
He was a Disney kid star. It's not too surprising. Most of them end up on drugs or messing up somehow.
He was also in Family Matters as the orphan who gets adopted by the Winslows
