You made some great points here and I learned a lot. I have one request - could you play examples of what you are saying. For example, play an example of an aggressive melody, and how adjusting variables changes the mood. You point it out visually which is awesome, but to hear it would also be fantastic.
That might be a good trick, but still synthesis is the most important thing when it comes to electronic music, specially psytrance so I think it's better to not skip those steps as you can achieve a nice synthesis with some quick tweaks on init pre-sets and get to more complex patches as you work your way through it 😁
On the one hand it's helpful to strip everything away to focus on the core as you say, on the other hand melodies correlate also strong with the timbre, and the sound can inspire you/guide how the melody should look like. I guess it's two diff. ways you can start either way and will definitely get good results. And each has its advantages and disadvantages. By having nothing which distracts you it's easier to really make something that it musically good, the downside imho is that it will work best with sounds wich have similar properties. Anyway thank you for the extra strategy!
Thank you! really good and well presented basics!!!!
Welcome
Great video!
Thank you :)

Hmm good point let me see if I find a good example and can wrap that into an extra topic

Tomorrow i will buy a copy of Mars Attack to support broo !!
Thank you mate! Glad you like the Track! There is also a new release just a few days old “Temporal Shift” you might want to check out :)
Try write melodies with piano sound. This stops you relying on the sound design and improves you chances of actually writing good melody

@@Psiger another way is to just test the melody with a piano sound. If it doesn't hold up then its probably a shit melody
Bro is not playing the melody once👌
Bro I'm playing that melody right in the beginning ;)
