Great review, but I have a question. Is the live view on the camera turned off when you conect it into a monitor, or you can see both? What im trying to say is that, can you see the image from the screen on the camera and image on the monitor at the same time?

When you try the free VDO at minute 2.05, you will know that this product is not truly 0 latency. You watch the mouth on TV and the person talking, you will know the truth, that it is just almost good.

Excellent review I needed to choose a wireless sytem for focus pulling and I was struggling between the MARS 400s (affordability) or the COSMO 600 (low latency but would take a big chunck) this product is perfect for me. Great for focus pulling, decent range and below 1000 dollars. Thanks for the awesome review, you guys just earned a sub

Teradek didn’t get rid of the battery plate, it’s an added accessory....

Glad you found it helpful! The monitor is from Came TV - www.came-tv.com/products/came-tv-4k-hdmi-carry-on-broadcast-monitor-with-sdi-hdr-and-3d-luts-3-sizes
We've got on with it really well - we just wish it had a thread on the bottom of the case to mount it on a stand!

Hi I have a question about the "teradek bolt ace 500"
    1. Is there an "Always off OSD" menu setting, so you wont see the On Screen Menu if you are disconnected, just a black screen?
Useful in a live setting where the camera is on a remote link using the teradek.
    2. Is it transmitting audio over HDMI in sync?
    Thank you!
    /brgds john

Hey John! Unfortunately if you lose connection the display does come on - we've not found a way to turn this off, but if any other users reading this have found a way, please let us know below!
As for the audio - yes, the audio is embedded into the HDMI and is in sync! Hope this helps.

Thank you for your fast response and the great review! :)
If you could check on the Receiver under the menu there is a ”OSD Settings”
can this be set under there?
Source for the menu setting: www.newsshooter.com/2019/07/15/teradek-ace-500-hands-on-review/
(but they don’t elaborate on this)
      Thanks again!

@@clairstylerstudios Hi John, No problem at all - thanks for the feedback! We will look into this asap for you. Unfortunately under the current circumstances we have no access to our office and had to prioritise which kit we wanted to have access to by taking it with us. Fingers crossed we'll be back in very soon!

@@clairstylerstudios Hi John, so sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I appreciate it's probably too late now, but we have found that you can indeed use the menu button on the receiver side as a little joystick too. This allows you to turn off the OSD if required.
