I have a large one in Moss, too, that carries my full sketching kit, and a small one in black that lives in my everyday bag that carries a truncated sketching/tiny watercolor kit. A collapsible pet water bowl will easily slide into one of the large back pockets.
Woow it looks so so nice! I totally support splurging on yourself every once in a while, espacially for such useful item. If only I painted outside I would've definitely got one for myself 🥰
I absolutely LOVE your reason for buying it. I still haven't convinced myself that it's worthy of the cost - even though I too think its really pretty - but that's mostly as I am in the EU, and get hit with the shipping *and* customs duty too... so I decided I'm going to try and make my own version... 👀 Hopefully I'll love it as much as you love your Sendak!
That's awesome! I thought about attempting to make one as well. I have made a ton of makeup bags in the past, but I just decided I wanted that exact thing. Lol let me know how it goes!
Love it! I agree they are expensive but worth it. I got both of mine (on sale). I bought my mini one a couple of years ago and my large one last year. Love the color you got!
I have 2 of them in moss and a grey. One for my watercolor stuff and one for my colored pencil stuff. Love them. The material it is made out of is so tactile and enticing. I have their wooden Iris palette it fits in the roll perfectly. Enjoy, it sure was worth it for me.
I bought a collapsible coffee cup with lid off Amazon. It's much thinner than the collapsible art water cups available and it has a little tab that I use to clip it onto my painting board when I'm plain air painting.
it isn't always about what you NEED. If something brings you pleasure and you can afford it then treating yourself can be the best soul medicine ! Plus if you look at Peg and Awl website - they are a small independent business that produce items ethically - I'm all for supporting that. I have just slashed out on a peg and Awl Sendak and I love it to bits - yes it's expensive but it is a thing of beauty and practical too.

Yes, the cost of Sendak is not for me. So I made my own "Sendak" Pattern and sew myself a pencilroll. Almost costfree ❤ It works great.

I love mine. No regrets.

Thanks for sharing! I'm interested in getting one. What is the color code of yours? Thanks!
Moss 😊
Thanks! It's gorgeous.@@opalmint
Nice wallet, maybe cut a little off the handle of the large brush round it with a nail file.
@opal&mint That wasn't needed at all for the 10 second painting with a few colors. Ridiculous. You might have done it without it easier than with it.
