Great review very professional. Haters quit hating on the larger man, quite unnecessary. 1.4tsi is a decent engine but I like the 2.0 tdi 184 offering great performance and very decent economy, makes the golf GTD look very much over priced.
Rob Dundon diesels are becoming a thing of the past now, I'm a diesel guy and I'll still keep my 1.9 tdi but I really have changed my views on modern engines
i have a diesel 64 plate xtrail, great car on the whole, lots of torque etc, but the three years ive had it, had particulate filter probs every year. i will never go diesel again. in fact ill prolly go for the 1.4 dsg leon in this review, had a test drive and it was impressive.
Nice to see a bigger lad like myself testing cars... I just ordered the ST Xcellence Lux because of its comfortable cabin and plenty of space for my larger bod... Great review man 👍
I currently have a Vauxhall Astra SRi 1.4 petrol 2017 and I’m getting a Seat Leon FR 2.0 diesel 2016 (65) tomorrow and I cannot wait! Great view, just makes me more excited 👍🏻
fairly sure the front parking sensors are not standard on the FR Tech trim. I've just ordered one, and I'm finding all of the "Standard Features" that the multitude of reviews are talking about, are in fact added extras.
I seem to remember Clarkson remarking that almost every other car is based on either the VW Golf or Fiat 500 LOL Excellent review - I like this car, but I always wonder if VW hold something back from Seats and Skodas so as not to be upstaged by them, and reserve the best for their more expensive Audi stablemates.
Amazing how these days, a car review is 8 minutes of ancillary stuff like infotainment, and cubby holes, and 2 minutes of actually how the car drives! Oh well, how times have changed.
@@chriswijnen3962 I bought it pre owned in 2019 from the seat dealer, it had 14,500 miles on the clock now I have about 32,000 miles on the clock and apart from standard wear and tear which every car has there hasn't been any issues whatsoever. Not a single one. I'd recommend this car to anyone. It's a fun car to drive also.
I have a new seat Leon 2.0 tdi excellent there one thing I don't like and that is the ride and road noise very hard compared to the Vauxhall elite which I had before is there a button on the leon to make the ride feel more comfortable
Did you all know you can dip the passenger mirror via a setting on the door setting on your door. Ignition in put in reverse gear switch to left mirror n set then take out of gear again.
VW Group manufacturers rummaging through the MQB parts bin: _Audi (for the A3):_ We have a good car here... how much can we charge for all these options? _VW (for the Golf):_ We have a good car here, how could we more stingy with the standard equipment? _Seat:_ We have a good car here... SO WHY THE EVERLOVING F__K CAN'T WE USE THE NICER PARTS? _Skoda:_ We have a good car here... 🤷♂️
Good straight to the point review, well done young man!!

@@An.Individual Body shaming random people on the internet, good job mate. Says a lot about you actually.
Wow. This was the best car review I've seen in a long time.

Fat is the word your looking for, and diesel is the new evil, go petrol!

The SEAT Leon in FR trim has to be our favourite family hatchback.
Clear and concise review , plenty of other reviewers could learn from this
i love how all reviewers touch the dashboard, like you ever do that :D
if it looks nice its enough.

Very good review, nice to see the infotainment system overview, instead of seeing how many water bottles can fit it the door cards 👍🏼
owned mine for a year now, absolutely love it! such a great car
Rich Hi I'm interested in this car is it sturdy any rattles and is road noise as bad as he says? many thanks
@@jerryrawlings8885 Haven't had any rattles, the road noise isn't noticeable to me at all, if you have any other questions I'd be happy to answer :)
@@rj12341 Thank you.

Which hatchback is the most comfortable of them all ? No noise inside at high speeds and great suspension.
I just bought one for £11500 from cinch. 66 plate 1.8 fr model. I have been driving VW 07 golf diesel. Hope i bought the right one.
How you getting on with it? It's the one I want too. Does FR have power fold mirrors?
Good review. Enough information in it to help prospective buyer of a family hatchback make up his mind.
Good clear review
great simple ,easy to understand review, good job.
Superb review 👍 did 2015 engine go back to belts after cam chain problems with early tsi engines especially vrs skodas 🧐
The diesel models are the ones to go for !
Good review mate. Managed to convince the wife into getting the st version, preferably the 1.6 diesel dsg. Have you driven a 1.6 TDI dsg at all?
I have a new seat Leon 2.0 tdi excellent there one thing I don't like and that is the ride and road noise very hard compared to the Vauxhall elite which I had before is there a button on the leon to make the ride feel more comfortable
Damian Murphy I know on the fr model you can change the settings to comfort not sure about yours
Love his presentation and voice
What about front and rear suspensions?
Are they the 17 or 18 inch wheels in video?
Did you all know you can dip the passenger mirror via a setting on the door setting on your door. Ignition in put in reverse gear switch to left mirror n set then take out of gear again.
Blue, grey or white?🤔
Is this the same mk 3 leon or a facelift?
Sakk 1 no there are some small differences
Why review it now, when it arrived it 2013/2014
FunnyGangstar facelifted the start of this year
2 out the 4 cylinders? Isnt this a 3 cyl engine?
Can this car fit 4 carry-on bags in the boot?
thanks for the review
Wonderful car
Seat leon fr or Skoda Octavia VRS, the Seat looks a lot better aesthetically.
2017 Seat Leon review
I'd go for the SEAT Leon ST 2.0T Xcellence Lux DSG.

If he could then it would be fun watching him trying to get out on his own
