Hey man I’ve been having a sharp pain in my upper back close to the spine on the right side. I’m 21 years old and have been dealing with this since late 2020. It’s recently gotten worse and I’ve been seeking help for a while now. The neurologist offered the steroid shot but I don’t take it since it’s only temporary relief that I’ll have to keep taking and it won’t actually solve the problem. I’ve done chiropractic care, massage therapy, and physical therapy. I had a conductivity exam and results show that my right shoulder is weaker, it’s being affected by that pinched nerve. I’ve been trying to get an MRI but they make it hard to approve. Please point me in the right direction or at least someone I can talk to. I have had increasing pain in the right side of the shoulder for years and in the last few weeks it has suddenly worsened causing severe pain in the shoulder blade,radiating down the arm into the forearm and finishing at my fingertips. The index finger tip is numb.
I have C7 nerve impingement ,after an MRI scan revealed a disc prolapse on the right side ,which is impinging on the C7 nerve root. Will a CT guided nerve root block help or do you think surgery is inevitable.?
