- Hypixel skyblock is known for its tendency to ban people on a whim, but in this video, I will not be covering other people who got banned. Because I got banned myself. This is the history of igobylotsofnames (Hypixel Skyblock)

Greg DM'd me and cleared some things up about the situation.
"Hey, I've heard some things from a few players about your most recent video, and the fact that I may have known you were not hacked and reported you in order to maliciously ban you. At the time, I was just trying to sell some snow minions and noticed you were in hub 2. I saw you saying these things with a nick that looked like you had run your forehad over your keyboard, and so i messaged a mod asking to clear it up, and be sure you weren't hacked as that can lead to really big issues for you and the community if someone spreads false information on your account. That's all, im not sure if you blame me or whatnot but i wanted to clear things up and make sure 100% that things were alright. Best of luck with your channel and appeals, and have a great day"
TL;DR: There is no staff bias or foul play involved in this situation. Greg was geniunely concerned that I got hacked and had a mod secure my account. Moral of the story: don't pretend to be hacked by 2nfg.

they could've just checked your ip adress, if your current IP-adress would match the ip-adress u usually use then there would be no issue, if the IP was different it would be likely you got hacked. Staff did no research at all, what a bunch of amateurs. This method would take me around 1~ min to check.
Two videos ago (on the spending 10k days on skyblock vid), i commented on how if you tried hard enough, you could stab somebody with a cotton t-shirt. I did some math and actually found how hard you have to throw a cotton american apparel t-shirt. Its about 1714.50926407 km/h if the end is squeezed to exactly 1 cm squared. Heres the math:
American apparel cotton t shirt weight:151g
Density of cotton: 0.01345085008 per cm squared
Pressure caused by gravity:2.03107836208 per cm squared
Speed of gravity: 195 kilometers per hour
Pressure to pierce human 17.8579623992 per cm squared
Speed to stab the average human with a cotton american apparel t-shirt: 1714.50926407 kilometers per hour. In other words, mach 1.39959939924
Equation: 0.01345085008 cm squared x 151g x 2.03107836208 per cm squared / 17.8579623992 per cm squared x 195 km per hour: 1714.50926407 kilometers per hour assuming the t-shirt is squeezed to exactly 1 cm squared.

The staff could've checked what your IP was when you made that message vs a few other samples from confirmed instances. They didn't put much thought into that.
Yeah some people tell me the staff have the ability to check the IPs my account logged on. If so, some sketchy stuff must have happened for the staff to ban me since my IP did not change at all.

They banned you, because they thought your account had been hacked, and I am sure they would unban you as soon as you tell them it was a joke.

I think the ban was fair and square, and you shouldn't really joke about potential personal data getting leaked... Imagine if a hacker knew more than just your account login, and decided to spam your address in chat!

as a former staff member on a (soon to be shutting down) server called The Hive, yeah if you joke about getting hacked you will get banned if you're a notable person.
i wasn't mod for a very long time but i swear i saw a VIP get banned for that reason alone.
i remember i was banned from the hypixel by watchdog and i never understood the reason. It has been years since this happened and I remember that the day before I was playing TnTrun, and the other day I woke up with the watchdog warning. I still feel sad that I can't play. :(
And no, I never used any external programs to try to gain an advantage in the hypixel. It was the vanilla version
Something like this happened to my friend too. We were trying to get the pigman sword, when we were compressing the enchanted pork when an admin unvanished. My friend punched him then he got banned for 30 days.

From my cases of getting to meet or see hypixel staff they usually are friendly and if not it’s just the type who take the job extremely seriously of course that doesn’t mean I’d joke about being hacked near one but still. Of course there is a chance that what makes a difference is that my records of stuff on there are completely clean along with the fact I’ve reported ALOT of hackers before

I need some advice for getting unbanned I have mvp+ rank on the server so I can fly in lobbies but I was banned for a year for what do ya know, flying in the bedwars lobby I have made a ban appeal but they rejected it and my ban got extended by another year. I was using optifine 1.8.9 so I don't know what happened. As of right now, I have 259d 2h 10m 29s left on my ban.
I just brushed it off to the side cuz I wanted to get into pokemon but now more people are asking me to play so I want to get this fixed

What text to voice program do you use?
I mean while I get wanting to be vague it doesn't fly with me. Yes they don't want to have to deal with the work around but eventually one would be found regardless. Unclear language just becomes a bigger headache later on. Draw the line and if need be redraw it later on as exploits are found.
Short question, but isn't HPC just regular players who get early access to content/act as a council of a variety of players for the admins to talk to regarding the community/playstyle of certain games? You talk about them as if they're mods or helpers themselves

in their defense, banning a suspected hacked account is the way to go, they probably should have mentioned that as a ban reason and let you contact them to get unbanned tho.

I got permma banned before I even spawned in for the first time on their server. I could go appeal, but that would require me to go make a hypixel account (something I don't feel like doing) and even if that, I still have to wait a month for an appeal to go through because it's a security banned. Not worth the wait. Not worth the effort.
