Bought one for my grandson. Did some tuning, reeds and gearing and got embarrassed. it spit right out from under me at the 3rd gear hit. These are some beastly little machines.
i swear they would role between 50 and 60mph. cant remember anymore. my 1990 KX60 was for sure a very dangerous bike with incredible torque that would whip a 200 pound man straight on his ass upside down and digging into the ground…it almost did it to my cousin who was 4 years older than me and said, “ that little bike anit shit watch……. whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa hheeeeeeeeelp he squealed…. damn near broke his back i swear…. watch the video again … its whipping a grown dude around like nothing…. 2 stroke engine is nothing to laugh at….. thanks for the vid share man….. had great times on mine all those years ago… at 40 im looking at bikes again after 25 years off them.
😂people do not understand the power of a 2 stroke mini with a power band...I'd rather wreck a 125 or 250...wrecking the little bikes is a much harder bite you don't ever expect...They have caused many ER visits---followed by months of visits to the chiropractor 😂🤘🏻awesome vid!
Is it against the rules? Only owned 4 strokes. Engine braking with some fuel? Or just no to engine braking all to together? I can imagine riding without engine braking.
You wont regret it! I bought one of these as a simple little project when I was 16 (30 now) it was blistering fast. I think they can rev to something like 12,000rpms? The power was absolutely insane for a 60cc.

The max speed of a 1999 kx 60 factory it said 73 mph but ive only had it upto 69 70 mph nxt to a car an ive smoked plenty of 125 cc an ive even beat a honda from block to block at a rolling start so ya there insane but god do i luv tht bike an the first time riders who underestimate it cuz its a 60
Plenty of 20 year old low on compression 125 4 strokes I'm guessing with your piped jetted ported polished and bored over kx lol these bikes don't do 73 maybe 53 downhill if you're super lucky
logan odonnell that never happened. A 2018 KTM 65SX that makes for more power than any KX60 with My 7 year old daughter who weighs 52lbs on it pinned in 6th gear maxes out at 51mph in dirt gps verified. That KX60 on the same terrain would be lucky to get to 45mph.
