My Honest Opinion On Living In China

  • So I've been living in China for five years now. I arrived here not knowing much about China or hardly anything actually but that's part of the adventure I guess. I came to China to work as a teacher as some of my friends did that and they really enjoyed it. So I took a chance and flew out here, and I'm glad I did as I would've always been wondering if I didn't. Teaching in China iv very rewarding, and so is living here in general for a foreigner. Everything's cheap, the jobs enjoyable, great places to living, and very cheap bills. You can actually save money here as like I said most thing are very cheap here compared to the rest of the world. China is a very safe place to live, hardly and crime, the people are friendly and the food is great. Let's see if I stay here for another 5 years.
    I hope you enjoy the video! Have a great day!

    Been living in China for 14 years now. I do not have any plans to go back to the US. I still have my houses and properties back there, but my life is just better here. I had heart and kidney failure when I was living in the US. My life improved by so much when I made the move here. I lost over 120lbs, my heart and kidney condition went to normal. I opened companies here and I plan to live here for the rest of my life if possible.

    I´ve got the exact same feeling about living in China as you do, Araf. I´ve been living here years and it gets hard to go back to Spain and live there for a few years. Bufff What I do is travelling back to my country from time to time, cause Spain is an awesome country for living, and I´m aware. However the conveniences here, the safety and the bills just makes me stay. I love China and that feeling will never dissapear from me, not matter where I go.

    When you talk about security issues, every time I watch the BBC report on China, it is always negative. It is said that there are too many surveillance cameras in China, and people are monitored by the government. Chinese people have no freedom, no privacy, and the government is dictatorial. The funny thing is: London has the most surveillance cameras in the world, but the British don't mind. London's streets are unsafe. What it boils down to is government inaction in London.In China, you can order takeaway food every day, take taxis every day, have barbecue at night, and drink while walking on the street.Put bikes on the street. These freest lifestyles would be completely impossible in London. The British economy is in decline.

    • @arafsadventures
      @arafsadventures  2 місяці тому +5

      Yeah you make some great points! Personally I feel more free here thank the UK in many aspect. My personal opinion on cameras is that with more cameras around the safety aspect will increase because people will not want to commit a crime then, but yeah alot of people look at it in a negative way, you can't have best of both worlds unfortunately

    • @yonight6871
      @yonight6871 2 місяці тому +4

      @@arafsadventures Surveillance can only monitor and record evidence of crimes to deter criminals. The most important thing is that the police are responsible and can solve the case, so women dare to go out late at night. Although there is a lot of surveillance in the United States, the laws are not strict. Criminals can be paroled if they have money, but the police cannot control them, resulting in robberies and shootings happening every day. More than 40,000 people are killed by gunshots in the United States every year, making it the country with the highest gun death rate in the world.

    • @arafsadventures
      @arafsadventures  2 місяці тому +7

      @yonight6871 Yeah not many people respect the police anymore especially in the UK and US and it's very sad to see. A lot of people are just not scared to commit crime anymore as there's hardly any punishment especially theft. I feel sorry for all the small businesses and well people's properties as I'm always hearing about robberies these days

      In my block I am staying on the 5th floor. On the ground floor of my block we have a rack with multiple shelving. This rack is for the community living in this block to use. Meaning when we make orders online and the delivery to us. They will not deliver to the door step. They just delivered to the block and put it on the rack and called you to inform you that your item had been delivered. Then we can pick it up. Sometimes items that are delivered can be on the rack for days and it is still there. Because some people after making online orders go away for business or holiday and come back only after a few days. And the items are still there waiting for the owners to pick it up.
      I can't say this can be the same in western countries and India.

At first I just can't believe, cuz the price they say is just ridiculous. But recently I had been UK on business, and then I realize, he's not lying. At the end of your video you say don't know what to say. You have still a lot to say and show. Tell about your job, your apartment how you cope with the language. Do you speak Mandarin and where about in China do you live. If I were younger I would be in China. Been to Hong Kong and studying Mandarin. What I see on UA-cam from UA-camrs and others I really love the place and the culture. Let's hear more.

    Perhaps it's not such a good idea to turn up your air conditioners in every room of your apartment to full blast because they use too much energy. China has been building more coal plants instead of reducing them because during heatwaves, people overuse their air conditioners, requiring greater energy needs.

      @@arafsadventures China is using more energy to produce electricity, but outdoor temperatures in China have not risen much. Temperatures recently even reached record lows, and in India they reached record highs when most homes don't have air conditioning. The world's temperature has not exceeded the limit of the Earth's temperature in 2000 years. This heat wave you're talking about is just a gimmick. Countries with good vegetation around the world tend to have low temperatures. Because plants absorb a lot of heat. Your country is hot because you cut down too many trees. You should plant trees instead of blaming China. LGBTQ doesn't work in China.
