- Опубліковано 3 жов 2024
- So while I have been away I got back into an old hobby of mine. Motorcycles!! So here is the first project I am going to show you. I will tear down and rebuild a 1980 KZ650 into a nice Café Racer. If you are new here be sure to subscribe so you won't miss the rest of the build. And please give it a like.

Good to see you
Thanks man. Yea been a bit but I needed the break. Good to be back though.
Nice video! I had one of those bikes years ago and they are amazing to ride. Shalom
Can’t wait to see what you make outta this old classic!
Should be an awesome project. My wife rides a 79 kz200 Kawasaki while I ride a 69 Honda cl350.
Dude I have missed ya. Glad your still watching, I have 4 Bikes currently, though one is up for sale. This one is meant to become something I can sell later on. We will see if I can make it worthy. Glad to hear you are a rider.
@@DIYwithUncleCy I don't miss a video. Just been in a funk lately and my old bulldog passed away on my birthday of all days. But it's getting better
In my day, I really wanted to get this particular machine BUT the reviews were complaining about carb syncing and carbon surprises. The street driving led to carbon build up and then when you punched it to get on a freeway it would suddenly break loose and you could find yourself laying on concrete while it took off down the freeway. The secret was to keep it tuned and running in all kinds of conditions to keep it running reliably and predictably. Heck of a performer though. Now I have a 1400 Suzuki Intruder - love it but too old to ride that heavy beast any more.
Hey Cy good to see you doing something!
Thanks man good to be back in the shop for my own stuff.
Great videos! Thank! Is #11 ready soon?😊
10:43 I had a mini heart attack
I've got two 1978/79 that I would sell for the right price 💸
Glad to see you making videos again. I thought you were going to bust you butt lifting the motor out. You have 2-3 trip hazards that made that lift extremely dangerous.
Yea I had to think on the fly to chose the safest wat to get my foot over the darn jack,
You’re an amazing man, Uncle Cy! Ripped that moto right outta there, bare fisted and all! friendly note: you might consider Mechanic’s gloves?
I gotta hand it to you; that’s a hella undertaking you’re starting out on! Wish you luck and success, and be safe! 👍✌😊🏍
Its easier to lay the bike on its side and lift the frame off the engine....
