Dear Alexi Laiho, your songs and melodies will live forever in our souls. Rest in music, wildchild. 🖤
Love the sentiment. But do you think he gunna take it easy now he doesn't have to worry about his earthly vessel !great times.
i think hes in a same place with lemmy, jimi, kurt and goddamn mozart :P
@@heikki7949 HOW DARE YOU PUT KURT ON THE SAME LEVEL AS ALL OF THEM!!!! While Nirvana defiantly played their role on things, Kurt was hardly a talented musician him self.
@@9hk38f nobody before him made 4 hit records with same 4 chords , that takes talent whether you like it or not :-P
@@heikki7949 Like I said, Nirvana played their role, but you can NOT compare Kurts musical abilities, to Alexi, Jimi, Mozart etc. It just doesn't make sense.
Well, Chuck and Alexi are enjoying this wherever they are.
How can teenagers make such unbelievably awesome song
It’s mindblowing how talented they all were. Alexi’s songwriting was really insane for his age.
And in a time were information was not so globalized as now... It´s amazing
when youre born to perform an art and be an artisr and you put all your dedication into the stuff as well, unbelievable compositions do actually come into existence.
Most of the best extreme metal of the 90s were made by teenagers. When the whole Black Metal thing took off those guys were 17-19
They're adults in actuality, except for Henkka (bassist).
Chuck from Death loved this album! May he rest in peace!😔
Gabriela Bădiloiu 🥺🥺
Now he is rocking with Alexi
Yes, Richard confirmed that... And Alexi, in turn, liked Death.
I read an article long ago with chuck and he said to watch out for children of bodom cause they are insane! He wasn’t wrong.. rip chuck and alexi
still the best videoclip from Children Of Bodom
right tho
Only with 1000€ budget
R.I.P Alexi Laiho :(
They were all only 18 (Henkka 17, Kuoppala 23) in 1997... amazing talent and creativity, I put Something Wild and Hatebreeder up there with Windir.
Windir are the unsung kings of Metal. 1184 and Arntor are all time favs
Alexi 😢🤘🎤🎶🎶🔥🔥
Rest in peace metal guitar king!
There's more arpeggios in this one song than in their later albums combined, love the old neoclassical style
I am here paying my respects for master Alexi Laiho. RIP brother!
What a blast from the past
I love this album's energy. It's so powerful, it makes me feel so alive. It helped me get up when I was going through bad times, it made me feel strong.
2021 RIP ALEXI one of the greats!!
Follow the blue circle and see HD-remastered version!
The very first song I heard from Children of Bodom in December 1998 and immediately hooked on this band.
ROCK IN PEACE ALEXI LAIHO.😪
omg 1997, 22 years ago... best album of COB, excelent times...
Rip cobhc :'(
come to me Bodom After Midnighhhttttttttt!
Rip Alexi
r.i.p Alexi
RIP Wildchild
hate crew never dies
damn.. 20 years ago..
werc85 Jesus I was 4. This music sounds so modern crazy
I can't believe 20 years have already passed.
Alexi was the only person who inspire me to learn about guitar skills, techniques, scales, amps, gears.. and so on.. that man taught me A LOT. I was so SHOCKED when I heard the news.. are you kidding me 2021.. Rest In Peace Legend.. :(
I just read that they were recording this video for 2 hours at -15°c!
That’s metal as fuck
yea and they dont have money make this video either :D but great song anyway
The guy who crushed the death/black concrete in the 90's always has my respect, Alexi as an excellent guitarist and a great vocalist, and above all the brain of the whole band, drawing from the achievements of the broadly understood world of metal, was able to put together something that was original and hard to pigeonhole.
And also at the same time able to make many people, including me, fall when they hear compositions such as Deadnight Warrior.
Children of Bodom was and is one of the best bands of its time, whose core was steeped in heavy, power and speed metal only covered with elements of death and black metal as well as other subgenres.
Don't believe those who try to tell you that Children of Bodom can be included and put into the melodic death metal drawer because they simply don't know each other.
And I sign my name as a man who also knows and respects such iconic 80's bands as Jag Panzer, Omen, Crimson Glory or Cirith Ungol.
Rest in peace Alexi "Wildchild" Laiho \m/
RIP Alexi , legends never die !
R.I.P. Alexi Wildchild laiho............
RIP Alexi Laiho
The motherfucking wildchild Laiho! Always rocking hard as a mf in my memory! RIP
pure, raw chidren of bodom. So young and dangerous. Suomi vikings
HOW is it that I've been into this band since the early 2000s and I'm only learning about this music video NOW !! Low budget and cheesy, I like it. You will always be remembered.
..I remember when this album came out, it sent massive shock waves throughout the Metal community. Everybody was wondering how it was possible to combine Blind Guardian style riffs/melodies with Black Metal vocals so well. Thanks for the memories Alexi.
R. I. P. Alexi😓🙏❤️
they look so crazy old school with all different guitars and leather jacket and henkka wearing like a dress shirt
Came here cause Chuck Schuldiner likes em. That goes automatically for me
Matt McGovern How do you know he liked ‘em?
@@katiemcweeny8196 one of the drummers from death was talking about it in an interview
@@yungcrisisactor yes Richard Christy, BTW one of the greatest drummer ever ❤
wheres the interview he ells that?
@@katiemcweeny8196 Actually i heard from Eric Greif
2020...Miss you COB
REST IN POWER ALEXI
A good way to start an epic career
RIP Metal Genius.
R.I.P Alexi. Your Music will live in Forever
I love how the video has Alexi playing his Jacskon Rhoads custom 24 either borrowed or bought from Roope. But the solos on this album clearly feature a ton of NECK PICKUP tones. Which once Alexi went Rhoads guitar shape he's pretty much been bridge pickup only. I have a feeling the odd ESP Eclipse model he's been bangin around lately is his first return to Neckpickup equipped guitars in a long long time.
This was most likely recorded on an Ibanez RG.
Wooooooooow!!! This is still able to keep me alive inside! "In the Shadows" and "Lake Bodom" too. Beautiful!!!
i wish bodom would go back to this, true melodic black/death metal, not mainstream thrash
They were so young at the time and so talented and brutal.
Rip Alexi. Gone but never forgotten
Classic old epicness! They were 16 and already legends!
Happy 25th anniversary The Something Wild!
Rest in peace, Wildchild🤘🏻
old but gold man!
This is absolutely one of the greatest songs by CoB! Well, I like the both first albums very much.
The best album. It reminds me of souvenirs 20 years ago
Thank you for the teen years , forever will be missed.
Alexi unico al mondo 🌍❤️🤘🏻.R.I.P. ❤️😢😢😢😢
Love the Song... Thanks Alexi, we miss you with deep sorrow ... Rock on wherever you are now Wildchild 🖤
tbh this epicness was hard to top, amazing!
One word! Beautiful!
I was 9 or 10 yo. when my parents had a shop with music records around 2001 - 2002. As I remember I had no idea where from my father took this music video on our old computer back then, but I remember that I saw this clip first time around 2001 when I was 10 or something and I was watching over and over like 100 times at least.
Rest in peace grand i listened this Cd..........................infinite
how amazing, this is a legend
Before the daylight falls to the graves - deadnight shadows
Soon I'll cross through that rift
I'll fly across the sky
It's such a lonely way
This one'll be black
The jet black always in the sky
It reflects hatred in my eyes
If the daylight dies the shadows fall all over me
Then death, you'll have your way
Scorn the torment in moonlight's shadow
I can't get out, lost the way for eternity
You're the guard of the dead ones
In the night I'll find you to drink your blood
Still the deadnight's screaming in my heart
The dead of night's close by!
So wake it up, call my name, it's Deadnight Warrior!
Send them on a trip of pain
I can't wait!
It's such a lonely fight
This one'll black
The jet black rises to the skies
It reflects hatred in my eyes
Feeling such a pain to die now
Being a hungry wolf
Crying under the moonlight's shadow
Sensing you
R.I.P. 😔
That intro tho! So heavy. Right out the gate.
My biggest respect for this guys cob fam forever🤘
*Alexi Laiho Forever in our hearts Rest in peace!*
Legend song....and still listen now in November 2020🤘🤘🤘
To think, this is just about where it all started for me and many others. I'm glad I saw it from beginning to end. 1993 - 2019. 🤘🏻
@RemusStelistu aye he did
early bodom was heavily inspired by black metal and classical
both these influences are lost now but you can see them fade away with follow the reaper onwards
ALEXI... desde la primera vez que escuche esto quede sorprendido de escuchar un músico con una nueva propuesta, RIP amigo.... gracias por el legado al metal, tristeza y luto total.
RIP ALEXI. SUCH AN IDOL, A LEGEND
They were so young and so talented, such beautiful melodic death metal with heavy classical influence, the most incredible combination, COB is the ultimate band for me
I know COB since their cover of "something in my drink". But just now I'm listening all their albums 💪💪😎😎🍻🍻🍻🍻
R.I.P Alexi (((
Something wild best fucking album they made!
RIP Alexi
People need more of his music...
I was watching IT movie (1990) and I recognized the first 30 seconds of this song... Amazing. It's from IT! (1h 09min 32sec).
I was just about to comment the same!
Lobo Negro that’s why I came here too lol
Children of bodom kicks ass every single time.
Cob..... Forever....
Enjoying one of my first albums of COB.❤
I´m feeling like Deadnight Warrior today!

inearthed ''implosion of heaven'' omg xd
@@RAGEPAMMA Hatebreeder>Follow the Reaper>Hexed>Something Wild> remaining C.O.B albums
Michael Jarrett Replace HCDR with Hexed and that’s bang on IMO
This is the song that got me into Bodom. RIP Alexi.
Awsome album, awsome song. My favourite of their albums after Follow the Reaper.
RIP ALEXI! YOU WILL BE MISSED FOREVER!!
C# Tuning - Studio
D Standard Tuning - Live Since 1999 - Present
WOW ! I need to get out more. I heard of this band, but this is the first time I actually heard them.
Love it
You sir are insane...
The 3 dead kids and injured guy must appreciate all the work you do.
rip alexi
For a budget of 1000 Euros this video is hella better than many modern bullshit videos.
yes they were so young and awsome!!! and they r more awsome now:D
Rock In Peace.
Still jamming Alexi 2023 and always after too
Still one of the best. Old COB ftw
*Crying under the moonlight's shadow,*

i started to listen COB when i was 6yrs.When i was 12 i switched from metal to rap and pop shit.now im 13 and disturbed bringed me back to metal.COBHC 4 EVER
At 6'year? How it's possible at this âge 😁Because your parents.. 20years ago I discovered this album but I was 17'.
in older times the music was eviler
People were just more sensible to this kind of stufd
it´s good to listen some Children old school too
this is so much better then the blooddrunk album imo when they wern't so mainstream but regardless you gotta hand it to alexi and his dazzling guitar skills
good times, oh those days in the 90"s
