Obscurianus Being able to vibrate its wingtips is not the only thing Shara can do. This bastard. This bastard is my first serious struggle with monster hunter world. Fought for 30 minutes and failed the quest 3 times in a row. After another 30 minute fight I finally beat it, totaling 2 hours of attempting this fight. Even after all that I can't even bring myself to hate them, it's such a cool fight.
I hope we get AT someday after the last update. I mean after the whole Fatalis and AT Velkhana. Devs said they update on Event Quests so i kind of hope AT Shara makes its way.
I think the next mh game might continue from where mhw ended to a certain degree. Because even after beating fatalis there’s way too many unanswered questions. Things like fatalis not being strong enough to end us, uncovering legends, the third fleet master telling us there’s a lot more to learn about the old everwyrm, unfinished jiiva story, and the tale of the five. Something tells me this is not the end for shara and safi and we might see something in the next big game
@@saturnringer267 I was also confused when we heard the whole time something most be down there where the battle against safi and alatreon took place and suddenly the whole Fatalis thing was at Castle Shrade. Both of Shara's battle themes are just perfect. The first phase sounds mysterious, like you're fighting this gigantic beast without really knowing what it is. Then the second theme hits you like, "Oh sh*t. This is about to get real."
My fav camp theme easy, the mix of suspensful and calming elements right before being thrust into the battle makes it so good. Hope he comes back in sunbreak's future.

The devs said in an interview that Shara Ishvalda's role in the New World is kept hidden till the very end of Iceborne... Now that Alatreon came out, I'm thinking him, Shara and Safi'Jiiva are gonna play a big role in the final update most likely, something is in the Everstream near the Guiding Lands, generating endless energy.
@@vzkronos4759 www.gamerbraves.com/exclusive-a-deep-dive-into-monster-hunter-world-iceborne-with-tsujimoto-ryozo-fujioka-kaname-and-ichihara-daisuke/ They said they couldn't answer the question about it's role but I think they won't until Iceborne's finished. I'm certain that Shara Ishvalda was digging in the Everstream to kill Jiivas before it's too late and since there were many of them in the New World, it had to be more destructive than in past awakenings. As the Seeker said, Jiivas are like humans in the way that they have a malicious intent to create fake ecosystems to lure monsters in so they fight each other, die and get consumed by them. There are many empty cocoons in the Secluded Valley aswell but only one Safi'Jiiva, so something must have happened (they probably got killed/eaten by another monster).
I wish Arch tempered would instead of giving more health and attack but instead focus on like having new moves that cover their weakness like making shara a bit faster and he makes like a wind wall with his wings that do a sweep or like summon a piece of his armor back that does melee attacks
I wish that like for the move where he points at you and shots at you with wind that he would shot 4 times with all four wing fingers instead of just one. You have to dodge 4 times in a row
Experiencing the transition to phase 2 for the first time is honestly one of the most chilling/goosebumps inducing experiences I’ve ever had. The music REALLY sells the absolute bizarre nature of Shara
i haven't played monster hunter in awhile cause im on a different state from my playstation, me and my online bestfriend has always spend time with each other on hunting together. one of my friend was the one who gave me the iceborne dlc and we finished my game in a couple of days, now im hearing this theme again and the proof of a hero in the intro actually made me cry. i fricking love this game
It's amazing how a monster I used to hate so much turned out to have one of my most favorite weapon and armor sets along with one of the best themes in the game, and dear LORD does capcom deliver with this
I actually think the opposite, i absolutely love Shara's design and fight but don't like his armor and weapons, (mechanically, visually they're amazing)
I'm not really a huge fan of his boss fight But I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy his battle theme. His battle themes are just so damn epic and climactic(which is fitting since he's the final boss for the base IceBorne)
Anyone else disappointed we never got arch shara? I am cuz arch xeno was my fave fight of base world. And im just thinking about what crazy shenanigans they could've given arch shara. Particularly it starting in phase 2. Just like arch xeno's
I still don't like the returning monsters themes in world, but all the new themes are amazing, between shara, vaal, and bazel. They all quickly became some of my top themes in the series, heck, some of my favorite videogame themes period.
My first fight against Shara: Me: "It's a giant rock monster. It's not so bad... I can take him." (Rock armor comes off) Me: "HOLY SHIIIIIIIIIIIT!!!! IT'S SOS FLARE TIME!!!! SOMEBODY SAVE ME!!!!!!"
By far my favourite fight. Sure, a player would say it's too easy while wearing OP Meta gear. But going in with Jagras-medley stuff or whatever you have at that point, makes it a hell of a fight. The only other monster that gave me such a hard time the first time was Fatalis. Top tier fight on a top tier game.
What really fucks me up about shara's design is the molars... giant fangs, tusks, sharp teeth, just don't give off the same eerie feel as a creature with human-like teeth
8:39 i always felt annoyed when i looked at sharas face, and i could never fix in on what the reason was, but i think this picture shows why, its too humanlike, bonewhite surface, raging eyes and teeth that dont look too different from a humans. i remember my mom always asks me how i dont have nightmares with the creatures of monster hunter, i always laughed at that since i never had one, until i meet shara ishvalda

@Serena Maslon but it dosen't feel good when it's a another player instead of you
I actually like how here it sounds distorted. Like a mockery of that idea.
@@Raiden_shogun9000 Yes. Me.
One of the few times the World Handler was actually a handler and not some annoying sidekick.
I have to solo this guy because of zero internet and zero friends

I know the feeling. I recommend Brachydios LGB, with an Artillery build based around Farcasters and ammo ingredients, with ammo crafting for Sticky 1 and Sticky 2 in the radial menu. Other than that, maybe switch-axe with temporal and rocksteady mantle, with full Enhancer and Focus and Evade Extender. My very first time I used bow, but it punished me a lot with that.
I never get scared since i've always hear this type of music in my country and the design of shara is not scary to me. I'm southeast asian so i understand why people would be scared of its looks especially those eyes. I've solo'ed it 5 times just to get those gems and tenderplate hell of grind.
is pretty easy this one

13:00 wow thanks, what a terrifying image
"Thanks, I hate it"
As a wise Huntsman once told me: fight purity with purity, only your wits, your weapons and your cat. Pick your weapon and fight the Lorelei of destruction...Shara Ishvalda. He who looked up to the sky and became the mountains...he will bring ruin to the world up above.
I wouldn't be surprised if there used to be webbing on it's wings but it tore off from the weight of the rocks and as it healed and aged along with whatever ungodly power it gained by swimming in the Everstream that it mutated into the creepy, albeit really cool, abomination that we have to fight.
Shara was and still is one of my favourite monsters. Its presentation Alone is master class, from the way it just casually terraforms the arena as you fight, the stunning transition from phase one to Phase 2 and dont even get me started on those eyes man! they follow THE CAMERA, not your character, THE CAMERA, meaning they are always looking at YOU
Shara ishvaldas camp themes are my go to spot for chills heaven
*Hohoho nice edit on shara phase 2 eyes on the camp section. Got me spooked for a second there xD
13:00 Nice touch. I am legitimately finding it difficult to look this thing in the eyes.
Considering it looks into the camera during the fight.
When Iceborne first came out, I wasn't too keen on getting a DLC for a game I didn't play much. Then I saw a Shara Ishvalda hunt and I knew I NEEDED to hunt her. I've been hooked since Iceborne.
i love that its finger-wings pop out of the shell first. it gives you such a feeling of "OH FUCK WHAT IS THIS THING"
I gotta say Sharad whirlwind ball is such a cool finishing move. One of my favorite recalls on monster hunter
Obscurianus Being able to vibrate its wingtips is not the only thing Shara can do. It clearly has a form of air manipulation, since no way in hell is _vibrating_ going to make pinpoint, directed air blasts, or a vortex of air. Liquefying rocks, though. That’s definitely a thing pinpoint vibration could do.
@@VeganAncientDragonKnight if he can liquified earth/rocks, does that mean he can break any object with enough vibrations?
Shinra Tensei!!!
@@LR-jb6zn From what I know of vibrations, you need the right frequency, not amount of vibrations. But from what I know, he theoretically could, if he can do all frequencies. I might be wrong though, look this stuff up.
@@johncronk8867 Most likely air propulsion, I don’t think even vibrating at the harmonic frequency of air could produce such high powered and direct blasts
I’m convinced Shara Ishvalda’s the member of the five who made mountains rise reborn!
"This world is an illusion. All the creatures, everything merely playing out on a stage. I do not speak with you, Hunter. You are merely a marionette on strings, your actions not truly your own. I speak to the one behind you - the one holding the strings, watching us fight for their own entertainment. Be warned - once I break free of this prison, you shall be the first."
Jesus christ is that an actual quote?
@@engie3953 no.
@@engie3953 no its basically what shara is saying through out the supercritical mode of phase 2 where the eyes are always looking directly at the player

Even though there's an explanation for the eyes mechanically. Your paragraph is fitting and adheres the hindu explanation of making Shara Buddha-like and achieving a state of nirvana and being beyond the mold. (Though this comment is more than two to three years old)
The scariest part of Shara Ishvalda is it's uncanny human characteristics. Such as it's teeth and eyes. The somewhat fleshy look to it adds to the whole scary dragon thing too.
Actual final phase lyrics:
Aye, comin' down like precipitation
I ain't never met a limitation

When phase 2 starts it just fucking explodes with awesome power, both the monster and the music. One helluva final boss.
The transitions for each track are seamless, nicely done.
Its gaze, uncovered.
Its eyes, naked.
This Earth, torn.
Love how the first part is just an average fight, then the second part kicks in and it becomes a fight for your life
I hope we get AT someday after the last update.
Something tells me this is not the end for shara and safi and we might see something in the next big game
safi definitely has an unfinished plot thread with the connection it has to alatreon
@@saturnringer267 I was also confused when we heard the whole time something most be down there where the battle against safi and alatreon took place and suddenly the whole Fatalis thing was at Castle Shrade.
Not that i complain. Love the return to that setting but it left so many things unanswered.
@@reproductionmaster7271 This
@@omerozel4716 I believe safi and alatreon didn’t fight. Safi was probably out of its nest while we fought alatreon. Safi was also hinted to be alive during the alatreon hunt. Bringing back fatalis changed a lot of capcom’s initial plans for the ending of iceborne. Not complaining but it would’ve been really nice to see a new powerhouse make its entrance
Both of Shara's battle themes are just perfect. The first phase sounds mysterious, like you're fighting this gigantic beast without really knowing what it is. Then the second theme hits you like, "Oh sh*t. This is about to get real."
Stare into your soul is an understatement .. . .. I was terrified by those stares.
Especially since the camera is locked onto the camera and not the Hunter ._.
My fav camp theme easy, the mix of suspensful and calming elements right before being thrust into the battle makes it so good. Hope he comes back in sunbreak's future.
Also, apparently there's a theory that suggest Ishy, is the embodiment of Bhudda, or like a spiritual branch of it. Something like that. The music kinda supports it.
Yeah I get that it is a divine being
If you look closely you can see the third eye
why would the Bhudda be embodied into an ugly ass monster that wants to kill ya
@@lokouba I think Shara is majestic tho.
In the trailers for the old everwyrm I pictured it kinda looking like Dire Miralis, boy was I wrong
it sounds like traditional music in Bali , Indonesia...
Isn't the dragon based on Buddhist stuff?
Nabuchodonosor McGalapàtràmanski no it’s based on Hindu mythology
Months of wondering its similarity with some other creature. Today I finally found it: Amygdala.

when i first battle shara i thought he would just stay a rock monster for the entirety of the fight the i heard the beginning of the second theme and it started to shed is rock hide and i was like Wtf he isn't just a ROCK MONSTER
Do you have a source? I would love shara to be brought up again at the end because he is my favorite monster
@@vzkronos4759 www.gamerbraves.com/exclusive-a-deep-dive-into-monster-hunter-world-iceborne-with-tsujimoto-ryozo-fujioka-kaname-and-ichihara-daisuke/
They said they couldn't answer the question about it's role but I think they won't until Iceborne's finished.
@@shangaiify Well let's remember that Nergigante refuses to die only because of the fact that he has things to hunt
they are not making anything fro iceborn anymore
However monster hunter 6 might also take place in the new world so hopefully we can see the guiding lands and a few other locales again!
Phase 2 be like
Hunter: WHATS GOING ON!
Shara: its tim to go further...*BEYOND*
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH
Edit: when is that all bird wyvern list coming
First Phase: Oh it's a rock golem dragon ok
2nd Phase: It's staring right at my soul!
I wish Arch tempered would instead of giving more health and attack but instead focus on like having new moves that cover their weakness like making shara a bit faster and he makes like a wind wall with his wings that do a sweep or like summon a piece of his armor back that does melee attacks
ATs are already sort of like that. Also, faster Shara is an actual death wish.
thats why its perfect
I wish that like for the move where he points at you and shots at you with wind that he would shot 4 times with all four wing fingers instead of just one.
You have to dodge 4 times in a row

i haven't played monster hunter in awhile cause im on a different state from my playstation, me and my online bestfriend has always spend time with each other on hunting together. one of my friend was the one who gave me the iceborne dlc and we finished my game in a couple of days, now im hearing this theme again and the proof of a hero in the intro actually made me cry. i fricking love this game
With an expansion called "Iceborne" I did not expect the final boss to be a sandy rock buddha monster lol
Nice mix! I like that you arranged the camp phase midway into battle theme
It's amazing how a monster I used to hate so much turned out to have one of my most favorite weapon and armor sets along with one of the best themes in the game, and dear LORD does capcom deliver with this
Type of stuff, especially since the whole entirety of iceborne was leading up to this point
I actually think the opposite, i absolutely love Shara's design and fight but don't like his armor and weapons, (mechanically, visually they're amazing)
I'm not really a huge fan of his boss fight
But I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy his battle theme.
8:30 i love this part its sooooo goood
monster hunter is the last game i'd expect to fuel my nightmares, but here we are
This dude's eyes are the most terrifying thing I've ever seen, they really give me shivers
Today i killed Shara Ishvalda solo, omg is really epic and hard, this is the best fight for me in MHW 🥺❤
AHHHHHHHHHHHH...AHHHHHHHHHH
The monster: WHY ARE YOU RUNNING W H Y. A R E. Y O U. R U N N I N G
I still don't like the returning monsters themes in world, but all the new themes are amazing, between shara, vaal, and bazel. They all quickly became some of my top themes in the series, heck, some of my favorite videogame themes period.
Shara rapping will live rent-free in the back of my head for the rest of time.
My first fight against Shara:
Me: "It's a giant rock monster. It's not so bad... I can take him."
(Rock armor comes off)
Me: "HOLY SHIIIIIIIIIIIT!!!! IT'S SOS FLARE TIME!!!! SOMEBODY SAVE ME!!!!!!"
When you fight it you realize it's not staring at the hunter. It's YOU
Not my favourite score but certainly up there and when tied with one of my absolute favourite monsters, magical. Beautifully terrifying
Me looking into his eyes:
OH MY GOD, HIS EYES ARE F***ING TERRIFYING! THEY ARE LITERALLY CRAZY!
They don't follow the character, they look directly at the person playing MH instead. Right into your freakin soul
You just straight up copied what Josh said in the Pro & Noob series when he first saw them...
...but how do you know it's a male?..
Who cares
How do u know it's a girl?
That´s the most Final Boss a theme can ever become
No, I don’t think so. This theme is awesome but it doesn’t scream «the world is ending».
Sound cloud Shara Ishvalda emerges!
3:16 - You're welcome.
Nice, the Iceborne theme. Reminds me of how Alatreon has MH Tri in his theme as well.
I can’t get over this part
John 3:16
I’m very funny
The part before that is good to
Comin' down like precipitation, I ain't never met a limitation
I legit got really stressed when the music hit at 8:15 during the fight
That second phase theme is just *perfect*
One of the reason why i'll always join in when Shara ishvalda quest poped up in respond to Sos page
8:39 i always felt annoyed when i looked at sharas face, and i could never fix in on what the reason was, but i think this picture shows why, its too humanlike, bonewhite surface, raging eyes and teeth that dont look too different from a humans. As if someone had removed the facade of man to reveal the madness hiding underneath
There is also the fact that it’s eyes follow the camera, not the hunter. It’s staring *you* down as it fights.
Ah, a Charge Blade main. Savage Axe with Blast works wonders on its shell. 600 DMG per explosion.
didn't know that :o i'll have to see what i need for that cuz i've been using the safi ice charge blade for shara.
i remember my mom always asks me how i dont have nightmares with the creatures of monster hunter, i always laughed at that since i never had one, until i meet shara ishvalda
13:00 why is this so terrifying maybe it’s the eyes which haven’t been grayed out?
ah yes, i too enjoy wailing on a rock for 15 minutes then running through exploding sand for another 20 minutes
Шедевр .
S-SHARA IS GETTING UP!! WAIT WHO IS THAT?!? OH MY GOD ITS NERGIGANTE WITH A STEEL CHAIR
UNCANNY VALLEY UNCANNY VALLEY PUT IT _BACK_ WHERE IT BELONGS
Shara's design is inspired by Buddhism and Shiva. I'm pleasantly surprised at how well Capcom did a great job featuring our own religion.
Anyway this theme song will always makes me remember of Thailand.
Me during phase phase 1: oh hahaha he's just a rocky boi!
Me at 8:15: what the *hell* is that thing?!?!
The Hindu god of death. Hope you like Sand and lazers sukka.
Shara Ishvalda, the finger gun dragon
If only Xeno Jiiva had gotten a cool ass theme like Shara and Safi Jiiva did.
the compression is so crunchy I can exfoliate on this music
The start is proof of a hero then more epicness come
