Guys they're a research commission and they already know the Caverns of El Dorado already exist, so it's very likely that they've already researched all they can about the Caverns themselves. What they don't know is how Kulve keeps the ecosystem alive despite it being a metallic area, something that should be sterile in most cases. That's why they have us break her horns; to learn how she keeps all that metal in one place.
Even sliding down the ramp to get into the fight again after carting feels epic with this music playing. Man, Kulve was an amazing monster, led to so many cinematic final pushes and epic moments. The devs are gods.

This fight was incredible. I got fully carried for my first time by some randoms and we actually managed to kill it. Lava pouring from the ceiling, explosions happening everywhere, we had 1 respawn left, we're all running around trying not to die, just desperately attacking kulve taroth to stop it from leaving, the music swelled to chanting as we finally slayed the beast. Incredible. And it hasn't gotten stale, I still feel this way even after killing it many more times.
This brings back some damn good gaming memories. The very first time you reach the end of the caverns and you’ve completely stripped her of her armor is probably in my top five best gaming moments ever. 9:01 when she’s enraged and the ceiling is beginning to fall ? Nothing quite like it.

To me, Kulve Taroth is the most epic Elder Dragon battle. Even when we had to do the researching by collecting her tracks & it felt like it was just building up to our faithful encounter. And the music perfectly builds up her presence & elegance. The fact that we can now slay her... the growth of the theme, the addition of the choir just made me feel all the more emotional when she fell. Just hearing her theme now causes my heart to swell & tears to well up in my eyes. Hell, I even cried when my boyfriend & I struck the final blow on her. They really out did themselves with her return. Awesomeness all across the board! 🥰😭❤🧡💛💚💙💜💖

Kulve Taroth is one of the few monsters I'd actually want to escape before the final battle ends, and leave us once more. She seems far too intelligent to be a regular ED. I wouldn't be surprised if she could use Telepathy.

This was the first monster that gave me confusion when I was talking to an English gamer. In Korean, its name was "Mom-Tarot", and I had no idea that it was known as "Kulve Taroth" in English.
Man her master rank fight is a masterpiece easily one of the best fights in iceborne it gives a satisfying challenge, its intense, its chaotic yet elegant and its so fun probably my 3rdth fav fight in 5th gen 1. fatalis 2. alatreon and primordial malzeno (they are tied) 3. MR kuvle 4. raging brachy and AT velk 5. risen shaggy and AT nami all of these are masterpieces AT nami got bonus points bc nami looks amazing + it was such a good fight to introduce MR AT elders
One of my best moments with swaxe was ZSDing on her head as she started to rear up for the big slam, and right at the peak of the attack, nearly touching the ceiling of the cave, the ZSD finisher went off and it sent her crashing down in a stun

Y'know, Kulve and Safi are the only monsters I really enjoy hunting in World anymore. It's the only time I feel like I'm truly part of a team. Everytime I get randoms for Alatreon or Fatalis, we fail. Everytime I join a lobby for a siege, we kick ass and have a great time. Glad my few favorite hunts have such great music
If only I could enjoy this theme without being reminded of all the pain she caused me because doing the MR version of this quest with randoms is actual hell. Could nearly make her full armor set after the 30+ times I failed the quest and by the time I finally got competent teammates that were smart enough to utilize her weaknesses. Love the fight, but I wish that DPS mechanic didn't exist so I just could have done it solo. Because apparently using thunder for her 1 phase, and the ice for her 2nd and 3rd is just really difficult to do.
I know this is super late (it's actually so late It makes me question why I even bothered typing all this in the first place but fuck it) soloing MR KT isn't that hard, you just have to be smart about it, this is my experience and this is my method but it works 100% of the time (at least for me): 1- Don't wall splat her, it's useless and a waste of time. 2- This is a given but buff yourself into oblivion... 3- Rocksteady Mantle, AKA Suicide Mantle, is the best thing for first stage, just put it on and spam attack her chest (without dying) she'll be at the next area in under 3mins. 4- Stage 2 hug her armpits, best blind spot (she can still hit you but that's the safest part during the second stage since you can get away from her attacks easily.) 5- During the final stage stay calm, she usually is easily killable at that stage so play it safe and don't get overconfident. Extra tip: Watch out for her AOE breath attacks (obviously) since they can kill you super fast, I found the best way to avoid them is by staying either to the left or right of her face at any time and not front of it (Note: her face not entire body) and also keep close to her, being too far is a death sentence. Works like a charm (for me at least as a DB and Hammer main)

I feel like I'm the only one here who honestly believes Kulve's theme should have lyrics sung by someone with an angelic voice. {Phase 1, normal/AT} It starts out like a sort of beckoning but a warning. {Phase 2} Then it goes into something fierce, like you've picked the wrong type of fight, one you won't win. {Phase 3} You've really gotten onto her bad side now, last warning. {Phase 4} *You've pissed her off now.*
Music wise, the victory theme actually ended on a sustained note, making you 'anticipate' the ending note/chord, but never gave it to the listener anyway. It's brilliantly composed and it foreshadows that 'it's not over yet'!

Power Guarding through the fire breath aoe has got to be one of the best feelings MHW has ever given me
This fight was incredible. I got fully carried for my first time by some randoms and we actually managed to kill it. Lava pouring from the ceiling, explosions happening everywhere, we had 1 respawn left, we're all running around trying not to die, just desperately attacking kulve taroth to stop it from leaving, the music swelled to chanting as we finally slayed the beast. Incredible.
And it hasn't gotten stale, I still feel this way even after killing it many more times.
I must say that I'm so, so love the phase 1, especially the part 2:37 ~ 3:07, All the emotions and tension before this part just exploded.
This brings back some damn good gaming memories. The very first time you reach the end of the caverns and you’ve completely stripped her of her armor is probably in my top five best gaming moments ever.

Step one: kill kulve = *stonks*
Step two: realise your harvesting so much gold it would become valueless = *not stonks*
Step three: hide away 95% of the gold you harvested and carry only a backpack full = *stonks*
How about harvest the gold but DONT kill kulve because she replenishes the gold so just farm some, let kulve replenish, farm, repeat

To me, Kulve Taroth is the most epic Elder Dragon battle. Even when we had to do the researching by collecting her tracks & it felt like it was just building up to our faithful encounter. And the music perfectly builds up her presence & elegance. The fact that we can now slay her... the growth of the theme, the addition of the choir just made me feel all the more emotional when she fell. Just hearing her theme now causes my heart to swell & tears to well up in my eyes. Hell, I even cried when my boyfriend & I struck the final blow on her. They really out did themselves with her return. Awesomeness all across the board! 🥰😭❤🧡💛💚💙💜💖

Kulve Taroth is one of the few monsters I'd actually want to escape before the final battle ends, and leave us once more. She seems far too intelligent to be a regular ED. I wouldn't be surprised if she could use Telepathy.

this was such a cool ass fight, i was always super excited anytime i got to do it, and i never really payed attention to the music(as i wasnt as obsessed with game music back then as i am now) but man this song is so fitting. im 100% getting this on pc

One of my best moments with swaxe was ZSDing on her head as she started to rear up for the big slam, and right at the peak of the attack, nearly touching the ceiling of the cave, the ZSD finisher went off and it sent her crashing down in a stun
She's so beautiful. Truly a gift that we are so fortunate to dance and hunt this creature.
The last part of the theme sorta gives me a Fire Emblem: Three Houses vibe especially that little melodie at around 8:40
The only reason this fight was not a drag as it could have been. This stellar soundtrack.

Y'know, Kulve and Safi are the only monsters I really enjoy hunting in World anymore. It's the only time I feel like I'm truly part of a team. Everytime I get randoms for Alatreon or Fatalis, we fail. Everytime I join a lobby for a siege, we kick ass and have a great time. Glad my few favorite hunts have such great music
Sieges are super fun.
It's sad that most of the community loathes them so much.

If only I could enjoy this theme without being reminded of all the pain she caused me because doing the MR version of this quest with randoms is actual hell. Could nearly make her full armor set after the 30+ times I failed the quest and by the time I finally got competent teammates that were smart enough to utilize her weaknesses. Love the fight, but I wish that DPS mechanic didn't exist so I just could have done it solo. Because apparently using thunder for her 1 phase, and the ice for her 2nd and 3rd is just really difficult to do.

I know this is super late (it's actually so late It makes me question why I even bothered typing all this in the first place but fuck it) soloing MR KT isn't that hard, you just have to be smart about it, this is my experience and this is my method but it works 100% of the time (at least for me):
1- Don't wall splat her, it's useless and a waste of time.
2- This is a given but buff yourself into oblivion...
3- Rocksteady Mantle, AKA Suicide Mantle, is the best thing for first stage, just put it on and spam attack her chest (without dying) she'll be at the next area in under 3mins.
4- Stage 2 hug her armpits, best blind spot (she can still hit you but that's the safest part during the second stage since you can get away from her attacks easily.)
5- During the final stage stay calm, she usually is easily killable at that stage so play it safe and don't get overconfident.
Extra tip: Watch out for her AOE breath attacks (obviously) since they can kill you super fast, I found the best way to avoid them is by staying either to the left or right of her face at any time and not front of it (Note: her face not entire body) and also keep close to her, being too far is a death sentence.
Works like a charm (for me at least as a DB and Hammer main)

As someone who’s only experienced the master rank version the high rank version of the theme feels weird

Music wise, the victory theme actually ended on a sustained note, making you 'anticipate' the ending note/chord, but never gave it to the listener anyway. It's brilliantly composed and it foreshadows that 'it's not over yet'!
I shall call this song, "The Gilded Festival of the Golden Goddess."
