David Klimmek There are people running 33s with this lift at 2.5” front lift or higher setting. Depending on the offset of wheel; you may need to do a crashbar delete (mod).
I just traded in my Wrangler JL for a Ranger FX4 due to a bunch of electrical issues and a super clunky 6 speed manual. I LOVE the Ranger so far but this is all uncharted territory for me so your videos are super solid in giving me more insight and I also know exactly where I’ll be purchasing all my parts from. Thanks! We definitely wanted to keep a little balance between capability and cost. As far as fuel economy is concerned, it's not great hahaha. With the added weight of a tent, rack, decked drawers and a bigger tire we're only seeing 11-12 mpg on average.
Good question . I'm currently averaging 22.4 w/ mixed country rds & highway use here in Northern Ohio. Dont drive it very easy altho not a speeder. Have gotten deep into high 24mpg range on extended highest drives to PA & VA. At 10k mis only I'm told mileage will still increase slightly. Added bonus. I dont buy trucks for MPGs but Ford seems be getting us great performing powertrains & good MPGs. My 2nd EcoBoost Ford truck! I'm sold.

Amazing truck all around. 2 my buds test drove my Ranger & were needing new trucks.. have both now gotten new Rangers! It look real good (I think) but driving amazes ppl to how good a midsize rig can be. Rangers long & very solid reputation can only grow w/this new beast. Ford truck engineering division should be immensely proud.👍

I have Bilstein 5100’s on my 4Runner currently but I’m thinking about getting this kit to replace them. I’m not doing any high speed off road driving so would it be worth the money to upgrade? I will be doing quite a bit of slower speed off roading. I watched your video about 5100’s on your 4Runner but I’m curious what your thoughts are comparing the fox to the Bilstein’s. Thanks!
Hi Noah, I've just got these installed on my 2019 Ranger, plus 2" block lift. Suspension knocks a little, and like your truck running on standard Ford Upper Control Arms. Do you feel a UCA upgrade would help, and if so, and ideas which to go for?
Upper control arms certainly wouldn't hurt and if the front end has over 2" of lift it's a good idea to upgrade them to help with the alignment. Can you run a full size spare under the bed matching the bigger tires? I was looking under my Ranger today and there doesn't seem to be much space for a taller tire.
The factory fx4 suspension is really bouncy... especially for passengers in the rear. Does this neutralize that bounciness? When it comes to day to day driving, how is the pitch and roll when accelerating compared to stock? Does it dive more or less when you hit the brakes? Appreciate all input 🙏🏽
I wrote this same comment above: So I have only the Fox 2.0 rears. I may do the Fox fronts later, but I am not interested in a level, only improving the handling. The rears alone solve the bounce, side to side uneasiness and generally tames the wallowy suspension. Like Noah states in the video, it is still soft, but the truck now feels confident. I feel this is how the truck should have come from Ford. I upgraded from the FX4 package. I cannot recommend the rear upgrade enough. For roughly $300 and an install any DIYer can do, no reason to live with the poor bouncy stock ride.

@@nicoaguilar13 IMHO the FX4 package is worth it because you get the terrain management, trail control (Crawl Control in Toyota speak) and the rear locker, even if you ditch the FX4 shocks.

Just wanted to provide my experience since I've had my Ranger for a bit over 8 months now. I've had no issues as far as engaging the 4 wheel drive, though to be fair it's something that I only need to use *maybe* once every couple weeks. But every time I've used it it's been quick and easy. As far as electronics, my main issue that keeps reoccurring is that Android Auto is pretty lackluster. I've had a few times where it refused to recognize my phone until I restarted the truck. Once when starting it up the back up sensors in the tail lights had an error and once when the pre-collision braking system activated it then threw out an error. Both of those errors were resolved when the vehicle was restarted and both systems have worked perfectly fine since.
Dan, we haven't had any electrical issues or 4WD issues with our Ranger thus far even after abusing it a little off-road. The only minor issue I've experienced is sometimes SYNC has trouble connecting and updating with our WiFi, but it's nothing we haven't been able to sort out. Overall it's been a reliable truck for us in it's first year as a project.
Hi Jeff! Welcome to the off-road world, this is not a lift kit but it is a leveling kit. the Fox 2.0's will slightly lift the front end of your truck up allowing for more wheel/tire clearance without all of the hassle of a lift kit.

You are correct. The springs take the weight the shocks control the bounce, so basically you will have less bouncing with the fox shocks when under load. Hope this helps
You can get 3" out of these Fox shocks, but that's the max height which means that ride quality drops off. We chose to set ours at 2" because it's enough to level out the truck and still maintain a nice ride.
Very similar, but the Ford Performance version of the Fox 2.0s is actually tuned a bit differently. We haven't had the chance to test that version yet, but hopefully this year we can get our hands on some!

The 2.5 would feel more refined and just that much better of a ride/cloud feel. I’m still going to go with the 2.0 though, just cheaper.

Which one is softer for the road, bumps on the road etc , Fox or stock?
Stock is a bit softer than the Fox 2.0s on the road, but the Fox ride is still excellent. Less body roll is a plus as well.

The Fox front coilovers in this package give additional lift that levels the front end, yes.

No electrical or 4WD issues here in 4,000 miles. I went through a few week period of bad weather where I was engaging and disengaging 4WD constantly.
How much lift did you guys get out of the box? I only got 1.5” of lift with the fox 2.0s.

Similar but the Tremor has better rear leaf springs.

Very similar, but the Ford Performance version of the Fox 2.0s is actually tuned a bit differently. We haven't had the chance to test that version yet, but hopefully this year we can get our hands on some!
