As I sit here tears streaming, this magic has changed the person I have become. There is no question his heart and soul have been on front street throughout it all. I cannot express or explain his impact on me and the beautiful things I have seen and experienced because of the way his music opened me, ❤❤❤❤❤and my eyes😊😂😂😂😂

This live version of walk in the sun, makes me cry. Just me?
He’s even more amazing live, than on record. That good.

Although I don't cry, I can appreciate this comment. I listen to this exact version of this song blasting in my car while singing maniacally, just so EVERYONE can hear one of the best pianists to ever play. And me. 😂

Such a gift to this world. First saw Bruce in Florida many moons ago. His music touched my heart and soul. As a fellow piano player and singer I have the utmost respect for his talent. ❤️🎹🎤🌞🙏🎶

Saw Bruce at Westbury music fair a few weeks after Jerry passed. It was a fantastic tribute to Jerry. I will never forget it. Goosebumps man. Bruce is in a league of his own. He's got a heart of gold. This show was probably the same tour but a few months later. Wish he would have stayed on with the Dead. He breathed new life into them when they needed it the most after Brents demise. I wish that Westbury show was posted but this is close enough. I will always love BH forever

Couldn't agree more about wishing he stayed with Jerry and the boys after Brent left us. Saw 15 shows with Hornsby and 75 after he left and by far they were so much better with him. Love him by himself but watching his musical relationship with Jerry was inspirational

Michael, you can't imagine how grateful I am that you posted this.
I have no idea how you got hold of Bruce's soundboard recording - but it's absolutely amazing to find this after 25 years in this amazing quality. It's even better than the radio broadcast version of NDR, that was aired several weeks after the concert in Germany (they edited the master tape and never played the whole show).
What makes this so special for me: I've been to that concert. And I actually hear my 25-years-younger-self yelling in the back when Bruce announces to play my request - which was Barcelona Mona (the song he did with Branford Marsalis for the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona). In an interview I held a couple of months earlier that year for German radio, Bruce told me about his twin sons that always requested to hear that song. They were too young to know/say the correct title, so they always said "Play Daddy Branford". Instead of requesting "Barcelona Mona", I wrote a note requesting "Play Daddy Branford" that night - and Bruce immediately picked up the idea and played it.
It was an amazing night. Thank you for sharing!

I am slowly catching up with Bruce's body of work since I loved his music in the 80's, and then went on w/my life w/o thinking about him. That is wild that you attended this concert. Just now I wanted to listen to an entire concert while I do other stuff & I first turned on the Woodstock '94 performance but was put off at first by what sounded to me like inadequate vocal miking. Spotted this, started listening & am pleasantly surprised by the terrific sound quality. I then read your comment & can appreciate how fun it must have been for you to revisit this concert after having attended. That is so cool about your 'Daddy Branford' request that he picked up on! Must have been a fun interview with him also!

Late reply, I know. These beauties get buried and are uncovered, gem by gem, over time by patient travelers. Long may Bruce’s gift live. He paints in music. Truly a master of composition. He “sees” the melody AND the lyrics come before him and it just pours out. Thank God for him and the gift that God sent us through him. I say, “Thank you Bruce for channeling what you heard”. You are truly a gift to us!❤

There just isn't a song on piano alone that comes close to these versions of "Walk in the Sun," and "China Doll"
    Both, absolutely amazing 🔥
