$650 USD - WOW this market needs some competition. I feel for the content creators trying to record groups with their $900 rifles and $400 optics for these fun .22 challenges out there. Not sure if it's a good idea running one of these to complicate a hunt though - many of my hunting buddies still argue against me to keep their fixed parallax scopes because the parallax knob is too much for them to mess with, let alone adding this thing. I'm going to start recording some range trips but at this cost will be digging out old cell phones to put on a tripod near the target. Thanks for taking the hit for us bud!
That's a basic optic at 400 try 3k for rifle and 1500 to 2500 for a good scope. I run a 400 dollar rifle with a 60 dollar throw away scope and get same results as a 2k rifle with a 2k scope
Hunting is entirely too dynamic to have to make adjustments to a camera on the move. I appreciate the HONEST review and dam glad I saw it, I was looking for a gun cam this year. This cam is surely not for me.
Easy way to set focus Point at the clear blue sky Turn paralax to infinity Adjust the diopter to focus the reticle clean and clear Move to target adjust paralax to target and both the reticle and image should be clear you should also notice the focus paralax number will be closer to the reflected numbers on the scope You attach the camera you are now adding mirros and lenses that you will need to focus Again Clear blue sky with camera on scope while on infinity Adjust diopter to have a clear reticle in the camera (focus wheel on camera) and with your eye using the scope together Then shift to a known distance target and adjust the focus paralax to match Everything should closely line up but it'll never be completely perfect when stacking lenses together

Hi there. Ok, just got mine yesterday. All reviews were "great", then I attempted it... Agree with all your frustrations. Something to remember or consider: If your ocular lens's focus was not at "Zero/Nutral" position, then I think you could have the problem that you got... Recital out of focus when the image is crisp... Thus someone who needs to adjust his ocular focus, away from the neutral setting, because of "his-eyes" .... I will spend some time this weekend to polish out the glitches.... It was a lot of money for something that should have been easier to use..... agree 100% But I "must" have it ready by next week.... Big hunt in the Karroo (South Africa) next week....
I tried one of those scope cameras two years ago for the whole coyote season. It was a different manufacturer. The video quality was ok, but I didn’t care for the interference it caused with the use of the scope magnification dial, also on one rifle it interfered with the bolt. I did give it a try for the whole season. It really bothered me, I didn’t care for the issues it caused so I just put it back in its box and it has been sitting in the closet. It’s too bad cause it was nice to get the couple of videos that I did. Good luck with yours.

Food for thought. I have a Tactacam solo xtreme with film through scope. I ran into the same issue with focus issue. Here is what I did. Parallax adjustment and reticul focus adjustment. Are two separate adjustments and completely different. There is plenty of information available to explain "Parallax ." Plus how to properly adjust both. 700 bucks ...ouch... Bass Pro has the Tacticam Solo 150 bucks, or the 6.0 at 300 bucks. The solo works great and is simple to use. Nothing wrong with the cam they work great, he is not following the instructions...
Easy way to set focus
Point at the clear blue sky
Turn paralax to infinity
Adjust the diopter to focus the reticle clean and clear
Move to target adjust paralax to target and both the reticle and image should be clear you should also notice the focus paralax number will be closer to the reflected numbers on the scope
You attach the camera you are now adding mirros and lenses that you will need to focus
Again
Clear blue sky with camera on scope while on infinity
Adjust diopter to have a clear reticle in the camera (focus wheel on camera) and with your eye using the scope together
Then shift to a known distance target and adjust the focus paralax to match
Everything should closely line up but it'll never be completely perfect when stacking lenses together
