I do recommend Monaco as you are so close, so much atmos. And walking around the track too, through the iconic tunnel, walking around Lowes hairpin. Wow! I saw Senna, Mansell, Prost at the Brit GP in 1989, Silverstone. That was great too. Senna was leading until the car crashed out. I haven't been able to afford recently. In 1989 it cost me £25.
I know what you mean about it getting loud. In 2001 I was at Monaco by the swimming pool complex, and the cars pass so close - my camera was vibrating for a second at the closest point for each car. You can't hear anything. Even your body vibrates. But I haven't seen a race live since then - good you got to go so recently.
