Can I Build My Own CHOCOLATE 3D Pen?

- I begin building my own Chocolate 3D Pen and make my first delicious chocolate 3D pen creation.
After trying out the Skyrocket Chocolate Pen (video linked below), I found two main problems that need to be overcome:
- Weeping / leaking of chocolate from the pen tip
- Hardening of the chocolate taking way too long
This video shows testing of possible solutions to these problems, as well as describes next steps in the design process.

Here's a vote for you to continue this project!
Awesome, noted :)

Bro you came up on my recommended also do NOT quit on any projects keep trying to find the answer
Thanks for the encouragement, really appreciate it!
Excellent idea, but before you mentioned the motorised version I was thinking of the old stainless dentist syringes with 3 rings on them, 1 ring for thumb (plunger) and two rings for index and middle fingers so you could control retraction with your thumb. 👍
Great idea, I will definitely look into that. Thanks for sharing it!
Great video!
Thank you!
Nice work, I am glad that you've managed to resolve the leakage issue with the valve since the v1 of this project.
I didn't imagine the chamber was to keep the ice from melting :p
Thanks - here's to hoping there is enough interest to continue!
@@PotentPrintables I believe there will be :)
Actually, I do cake decorating for friends and have a niece who has her own bakery business. The idea of a 3D pen for chocolate sounds intriguing! It could make a real difference in every day baking.😃 I'm watching your videos because I'd like to try getting into 3D artwork!
You also came up on my recommendation and I love this content ! I subscribed and liked the video💕
Thank you so much and glad to hear it!
This is fantastic Ali. Really looking forward to more on this. Thanks as always for sharing!
Thank you, really appreciate the encouragement and you helping to share it!
Hoping for more on this topic. Great. Idea Ali. I love the idea. Plus now I need chocolate.
Thank James...enjoy the chocolate!
Potent Printables Problem is we don’t have any more. My have to “borrow” some.
SIR this is illegal you are NOT allowed to make stuff this creative and yet delicious 😋
Air hose next to nozzle pumping chilled air from a dry ice enclosure? Or a step further and design like a TIG welder tip dispersing chocolate with a gas cup surround (chilled air).
Amazing video ! I was very entertaining.
Thank you!
Maybe add a small nozzle pointed at the tip that can let out light bursts of liquid nitrogen and freeze your layers. That way it can be less safe AND you won't need an enclosure!
Liquid nitrogen air brush...love it :)
I am pleasantly surprised with how well that worked - there are some shearing effects with nozzles that small and chocolate that viscous that have made most "3d print with chocolate" efforts fail completely over the years. You might want to look at some simple footpedals as pneumatic actuators for the plunger; basically make them bigger and more powerful by not having to be *on* the pen itself...
I was surprised as well. the foot-pedal idea is an interesting one and taking any complexity out of the body of the pen would be welcome. Appreciate you sharing it!
Amazing keep it up Ali your very inspiring!
Thank you so much!
I really appreciate your work!! Hope it gets revisited!
I hope so too!
Awesome idea. You should proceed with it.. 😁
One truly successful prototype would be the birth of an entire maker community....I think you underestimate the possibilities. I will say a finished product would need a heating element...
Some glue dispensing guns use a rotating auger inside the nozzle to feed material rather than pressure...
You should kickstart it, your obviously knowledgeable, I'm sure it would be a success!
I dont own 3d printing pen or machine. Hell.. I dont even like chocolate! But ye, i would really watch you make more chocolate 3d pen videos.
PLEASE MAKE MORE
I think your prototype is great! but the thing is, chocolate doesn't really cool down as fast as plastic like you said and the density is also like ketchup, and chocolate is also quite messy. lol so in my opinion, idk maybe try and experiment with probably how to fast-freeze it. anyways yep you do you and if u wanna continue the project im all in it
wow
Please continue this project
Thanks, will try too!
ohhh i see you like the expanse , :P, I was thinking about making
a ROci when i get my 3D pen XD
Yes I do! Making the Roci sounds awesome, have fun with it!
There already is. Using a grinder to grind chocolate. Then making it a filament. Them put it in a pen. Done.
You could sell these they are so better than the normal one
Dry ice.... I have purchased it at Kroger's in the past.
dooooooooooooooo it doooooooooooooo it
i got a 3D pen yesaday
Ali sir 1thing spoiled it I don't eat chocolate now if u find a way of whisky n stake then you really be onto something :)
Rubber band, it will keep pressure on syringe.
You should have more than 8 k subs
Dislike if you agree
Like if you disagree (for the haters )
you sment 1,000 dolers on that peise of junk choclete pen
Völlig sinnlos und überflüssig...🤦♀️
