The doohickey is a voltage regulator. The brass pipes were made from a proprietary brand material called Tungum, which presents as Matt brass colour
Thank you Ian - I appreciate you letting me know what that is and the connections. Be well

Very well narrated and assembled.
Thank you my friend! Appreciated.
John, really nice paint work on the detail painting in the cockpit, very cool that you even picked out the white metal joint - thanks for sharing and have a great and safe holiday
Thank you Ralph I appreciate it. And to you as well enjoy.
It’s coming along very nice.
Thank you Johnny
Dude!!! You jave nailed that! I couldnt do any better my self! Im going to have to try that scuffing, is it just scuffing the top layer with out any chipping fluid? Just abit of pressure to remove the top layer from the primer? Looks very convincing! Amd that control panel is just 🤌🏻🤌🏻 can wait to see the rest!
That's really massive Sully, thanks very much! No chipping fluid. I wait a couple hours after painting the final coat and then just run a toothpick around the edges and scratch the panels. Mostly just the green comes off. If the metal comes off there's black under. So you get a little mottled effect. Right on! Cheers
Great detail John, that's a huge kit. Here's a video in case you want to see your kit being made at the UK factory.
