The point system in mainstream taekwondo ruins the sport. It should be judged like boxing and MMA, with greater emphasis on kicks over punches. Most importantly, judges should favor spinning kicks over regular kicks to encourage fancy moves. If not, it's a kickboxing after all.
Great event but, to say this is what tkd was is a lie. Tkd was never MMA, no master from The past would do better than those fighters from this event. Old tkd was Just like old karate, a Lot of forms and moviments but no aplication, no real sparring, Just combined moves. This is not a rescue of old tkd, is a evolution of tkd.
