@@matheuscruz8574totally! I love SEINFELD. However with all this woke culture I wonder how many of its episodes would be receive today…but for me is before and after Seinfeld ❤❤❤
There's a scene in this episode that I never truly got. Jerry, George, and Elaine are in the coffee shop and George is raising his voice about Jerry not liking the gift he got him. The manager comes over says "if you boys cannot control yourselves, I'm going to have to ask you to leave ". He then turns his head showing an earring in his left ear. Was this a way of him saying that he was also gay? Not that there's anything wrong with it.
It is great acting. There are several minichanges that I tried to dissect: from listening to confusion, to consternation, to realization. Or sth like it. In any case, within a couple of seconds a lot of expressions
Notice she says, "You should see how my boyfriend talks to me." Then she smooches Jerry a couple scenes later. She sure ended things fast with the boyfriend.
I think the fact George went along with the eavesdrop was one of the most fun and playful things his character has ever done. I would've expected him to have Jerrys reaction.
This has gotta be easily in my top 5 favorite Seinfield scenes. Especially that look on George's face when he suddenly realizes what's happened. And then how Kramer shows up at the end.
Proof a show was truly great is when you have seen every episode , you know what's going to happen, can even repeat the dialog before it's said, and still laugh you ass off anyway while watching it.
My wife always gets on me for the same thing and I always tel her just to wash it if it isn’t clean enough for you. She’s the type to sit there and wash fruit for a like two minutes straight and I’m the type to just rinse it a second or two.
This show was comedy gold. One of the funniest tv shows I have ever seen and its humour can be related to any country or culture perhaps in any era, because humans when they are serious, under stress and neurotic are actually very funny, this show is a keen observer of that and captures it beautifully with these three New Yorkers, even though it is set in an apartment block in Manhattan New York in the 1990s.
I read somewhere (sorry, don't remember where) that NBC would not accept the episode and then the show inserted that line which then passed the censors.
@@michaelbayer5094 No, that's not what happened. The writers were trying to figure out how to make it not-offensive and realized it would be funnier if they were concerned both about seeming gay (cuz they're homophobic) and also about seeming homophobic.
This was one of those shows that I taped as I watched it in case I laughed too hard at something and missed the next line. Thankfully, I had taped this one because I had to go back and rewatch it to catch a few lines I missed. Such a quotable episode!

An early episode, and very underrated. Rarely makes top 10 lists. Great writing and acting all around, including Jerry, but especially Jason. And there's something really sexy about that reporter.
M. Wasiq Wasim exactly. If this were today show, they all would have been fired... and everyone of them would apologize until end of time. Woke and PC culture kill comedy.
This episode got an award from the GLADD organization for the season in which it aired. Seinfeld will return to Netflix next year, and it will be airing on Viacom networks in the same time frame. The "people would get fired these days" bullshit is a difficult assertion to prove.

I've seen people complain about this episode in the past few months. When it came out, it was given a GLAAD Media Award (Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation). And personally, I don't see what's wrong with not wanting to be identified as the sexuality that you don't identify as.
"My parents? Ha! They don't know what's going on!"

The best line in Seinfeld, "I've been outed! I wasn't even in!"

That's why he has earned over a billion on this show. Being natural when you act is what separates the mediocre ones from the good ones.
