    It's totally a preference thing, but I usually fill my benzs' through the oil filter hole before I reinstall the filter. Bigger diameter, less chance of spilling,.

    I know this video is 7 years old, but my concern is about 2010 glk 350. Have you used the 5w30 oil for long? I just put in 5w30 and after reading so many mixed things online, everyone mostly said 0w40 is the way

    • @isaiasmunoz708

      Depends on your climate in state. Your GLK operators manual booklet page 373 has the oil viscosity with a temperature range of -13F to +86F

      Hold the call and ok button on the steering wheel and go through the menu. And not everyone knows how to change the oil in a GLK.

    Hi AMGmeister. How do you measure the torque for the drain bolt and oil filter (not sure how to get 30NM)? Also, how do you reset the maintenance reminder on your dashboard? Thanks for the video!

    • @mohammedrahman3447
      @mohammedrahman3447 8 років тому +7

      He measured the torque with the torque wrench. NM is also used on most torque wrenches. Press and hold the OK and Call button at the same time and then scroll through the menu to reset reminder.

    8.5 qts of oil capacity that’s very surprising

  • @geoffjones5747

    Owners manual shown in video states engine oil capacity with filter is 8.044 liters (8.5 US quarts). Video says to add 7.5 liters. Which is correct? Why the discrepancy?

      People who really appreciate their vehicle choose to take a certain level of care for it themselves. It’s not our fault you choose to be lazy and pay $$$ for something you could easily take care of at home.
