I'm located in the US, I don't know which one to pick!
Im done participating you giveaway, I wish could win
Hey sir when will you announce the winner 💕
How would I configure it to use t9 for texting?
Where I can buy this cellphone?
Transition device? WTF? This is THE full package for me. It calls, it messages, a few apps here and there. Like what else do you need from a phone?
Exactly- an actual phone that’s smart and can do useful stuff, rather than a mini computer that can make calls and take over your life
Yeah I think in his mindset this is too close to a proper smartphone to be the arrival point. But I really don't think it's necessary to go all the way as he does
It has a keypad, so people who aren’t used to a touch screen can start learning
I really wish more manufacturers would come out with physical keyboards and keypads. A real keyboard is just so much better to use than a touchscreen.
I used to think the same .. but after 5 qwerty android phones .. nop... Touch screen is now better.
Gboard
I disagree, touchscreen is much more user-friendly but it depends on your opinion but touchscreen keyboard is much better.
i think they both are good, there should be both phone with phisical one and the now used touch one, so to just add “new” things even if those were the normal things 9-10 years ago lol
I need this. I can't believe other manufacturers don't make phones like this
you know, this is what nokia should have brought.
You know this is the only 1 still on the market, back you still had the lg whine, and Samsung was already on the 5 screens on a phone model...
I'm gonna get this 1 2 can't wait , it's pretty bad they don't make more, since you need to apps for devices , Uber smartwatches etc etc etc.really want 1 real bad
Nokia don't makes cellphones anymore, they just sell the rights to other companies
True, idk why they didn't make even one of those xpress music remakes as something that can use spotify and connect to 4g/5g stations.
If they did that touch screen phones won't be at market rn
Was expecting same. Nokias firmware keeps from getting it. They havent learned it yet 😅
I am in love with the design of this phone. it takes me back to the start of the millenia with the japanese infobar 2 phone. these candybar phone designs need a comeback.
This phone is sooo my type! I wish they bring back Android flip Phones again like LG Wine!
I've been waiting so long for this video. Thanks man
I think this would actually be ideal for those who aren't that tech savvy such as some members of the older generation who still keep lists of important numbers written down who have trouble even opening the phonebook on mobile devices.
Physical buttons would at least make placing a call slightly more intuitive.
One could argue that they might as well get a dumb phone but this may be a stepping stone for them to get interested in further learning and experimenting with smart phones.
Very often I've seen some elderly people scared to try using smart phones to make a simple call because they find it quite complicated and they are wary of asking for help because usually their grandchildren sometimes can be rude when asked for help.
hello, is the K9T9 replacing the backbutton for delete wrong type letters?
because as i seen this button is for return on android, so how do you do for text correcting?
Very nice review and totally agree with all the points you made.
It is a nice phone but the size is counter productive if you're seeking to get away from a full smartphone as this still offers you most of the functions of a larger smartphone.
Yep, the F21 Pro is personally better for me and if the back/delete key issue could be fixed on the K9T9 IME keyboard it would be PERFECT!
hi can i ask about the qin , is this have a volte setting?
Thank you for the video. I got myself one after watching this video but I can't get the T9 keyword working. what sort of configuration am I supposed to do? Thanks
Hi Jose, will F22 work with Tmobile in New York - or where can I find that information? thanks!
hello! I'm thinking of purchasing this phone but I've read that after a month everything starts failing, so just wondering what your experience with it has been so far?
Yesssss thank you Jose!! Been waiting for this one !!!!!!!!
Im trying to find a smartphone with physical buttons for my dad as he has a disability and finds touch screen phones really difficult to use, this one seems like it would suit all his needs, does anyone know if it would work in the UK with a EE sim card?
Great video. I'm interested in getting this phone. (and open to the f21/f30). How do I find out if it will work in my area? I live in Louisiana. I looked up the F30, but I only find "kosher" versions that do have various restrictions on them. Thanks!
Do you know if this is the official rom? will it get ota updates?
Does it support the wlan 5ghz wifi for open network hotspot?
Does this phone have a backlit physical keyboard?
Anyone know where i can get a screen replacement for this?
Why is there magistik root ? Do you root it ? or it's come rooted from the company ? Does the company root it to add Google servecis?
Great review - thank you I always find your reviews helpful and informative- quick question -I notice the supplier is saying don’t factory reset the Google version as you will lose the Google applications? I’ve been gifted an F22 pro - does anyone know how would I take off all my personal info without factory resetting if I wanted to pass it on? I don’t want to lose the Google services ! Thanks
Thankyou for making these videos!
The k9 keyboard does not pop up like yours. How do i fix that as it is the only annoying thing so far
finally. now I'm ready to buy the f21 without a doubt
If this phone has a horizontal slide out qwerty keyboard I would be in nostalgic heaven 💕 I miss a qwerty so much.
My brother has a eye disease, he only can see on black backgrounds. Does this phone have black modus? I have the qin f21. It doesn't have it. Please answer. Thank you
Do you know where you purchased the F22 pro with Google? And do you know if the F30 is going to come out yet?
i have the F22 Pro i cant seem to connect it to a 5ghz Wifi router / hotspot
Also where can I download the APK to let the keypad to work please
@josebriones, I did't see you compare the camera between this and the F21. Are they the same? and how do they compare to regular smartphones?
They get beat by regular smartphones for sure. The F22 has a slightly better camera than the F21, but not by much.
@joseBriones I feel let down. I reseved my f22 today and the phisicel keyboard didn't even type letters. only numbers. WHY?! Typing with the keyboard off screen is not supported with i find really anoying. and there is no way to use backspace. Is it me or is this phone a really big disapointmand. please let me know
Install K9T9 from github and customize it.
Does the bank apps work fine? Or is it rooted device?
Hi! Very informative video but I have one question. By the nature of my job, I have to write a lot of different messages. Does the phone have predictive text with support for the Polish language on t9 keyboard? Thank you in advance for your answer 😁
Hi! Have the same question but about Sweden. Hope someone can answer :)
Does this phone support band 20?
Hi, is that available here in Philippines?
is there NFC ? not sure; just wat i need for the rest
Sir, how to get in India, this phone are available ?
Jose- I love your videos. I’m buying a transitional device, ready to minimalize as I’ve shifted my lifestyle from heavy app usage to low app usage. I’m proud to say I’ve weeded out a lot of apps and love that I have more time for other important things, but I still want to take a bigger step. I’m wondering if I should get the F21 or the F22 phone. I need apps like Libby, banking apps, good reads, and maybe some google apps and that’s really it. Do you think the F21 or F22 is better for me? I also have T-Mobile- will either phone work for me?
Would love your feedback on this if you have time. I tune in for your videos frequently and am looking forward to making my final purchase through your site!
Please Can i have the link for the k9 keyboard
The camera samples where is it?
What are the phones he was giving away?
I CAN'T USE THE FISICAL KEYBOARD, PLS HELPME

HELP! How tf do I activate k9t9?
HELP PLEASE!.. I watched your review and purchased this phone due to the ability to type from the physical keys as shown at 03:06 in your video but I got my phone and I can't find how to enable this feature anywhere and I go into settings/system/languages and it says physical keyboard not connected. that's the whole reason I brought this phone if I have to use the tiny screen to type I am going to send it back. Is there a way to get this to work?
Download K9T9 from GitHub. A google search and you’ll find it. Download the apk, install it, switch keyboard in settings, and you’ll be good to go.
@@JoseBriones Thank you good sir, may the heavens smile litly upon you. 😊
I really want to get one, but I’m not sure it will work in my area. I don’t want to buy it without knowing first since they’re around $150 from what I’ve seen.
Nice video i miss this era of phones now days phones are all similar
Does it have support for multilanguage T9?
I'm not sure if you know this or not but the f21 kosher version called the fig is officially taken down from fig website they do have a kosher flip phone now but they officially took down the kosher version of the f21
Kinda what im looking for , Thank you 😇
Hi is that available here in Philippines.
Thanks for fantastic review my friend
I can't find this phone anywhere in Saudi arabia. I wanted a button phone since a long time. Not necessarily a dumb phone but a button smart phone.
is there an fcc filing available for this? just to confirm the bands that it's using.
No FCC filing because it's not made for the US
@@JoseBriones oh right makes sense. Is there another reliable way to find out the exact bands?
Any way to see if this will be compatible with Telstra service in Australia?
Thank you, I have been waiting for this video. Although the newer model is larger that previous, I think it will be a great transition for me from a large Samsung flagship!
It lacks B28, so the reception might affected, but for years I’ve been using a phone in Perth that doesn’t support B28 band seem no issue. The only issue may seem a problem is VoLTE, and unlike iPhone can update carrier configuration itself, without support of VoLTE, the phone can’t make phone call after 3G network shutdown.
@@lumpython5351 Thanks for the info. Phone arrived last week, working perfectly.
Can we install Microsoft Outlook for emails? And if so then how easy it is to configure emails on the app on this phone?
Should be like any other android phone
how can i find out if this phone would work good on tmobile in atlanta usa?
Check the dumbphone finder and select T-mobile in the carrier section. dumbphonefinder.com
Does anyone know how to use the physical keyboard? Mine only works when i use the numbers, the rest appears the virtual keyboard from Google.
Check my latest video. I showcase TT9 which is an app that allows you to use the keyboard.
@@JoseBriones thanks! Now it’s working, but don’t have my language in this app ;( (brazilian portuguese)
Doesn't keypad light up?
Hi, i was curious if the whole screen would rotate if you were to use the phone upside down, like so it's easier to use just the touchscreen? Thanks
Yes. Its possible.
👍🏼
Hi, just got mine, but have a question, is it possible to increase the syze of the app icons?
Did you solve this problem? I have the same problem.
@@omertekin6958 try to hold the top bottons near the screan... I broke my F22 by accident and I now have a F21, but I think that worked. Holding those 2 bottons for a bit increased the icons, if I´m not mistaken
great video and analysis!
I have one question to add or maybe I didn't catch it but did the device work with Bluetooth?
Yes. It does.
this what im waiting for year....
Hej
Is it possible to buy the f22 in Eu?
And where?
Thanks
Aliexpress
Where can I buy one?
बहोत अच्छा वीडियो बनाते हो बड़े भैय्या
Is there a place where I can download the official Google software version for this phone? I purchased this phone but my Google software is way different. Mine looks like stock android 12 (pixel-ish stock). It is nice, however it is missing things like the t9 keyboard, and options in settings making this phone unusable in some ways. Stock T9 keyboard app being the most important, but settings for the special key, even the launcher is different. It feels like whoever programmed this phone took the software from some other device or stock android from Google and applied it to this phone. There's options in settings menu that are blank and the UI all around doesn't feel complete and is getting frustrating seeing other devices that look different (but better) and more legitimate than mine
Where did you buy it (so I'll know not to buy from there)?
Do you still have the give away?
I have had the F22 Pro for about two weeks. I have T-Mobile and live in NYC. I will say that this is the first phone I've had in a long time that won't get service underground on the subway or if I'm very deep in buildings. That being said, I'm not sure if it's the device or if it's that it's only using T-Mobile towers or perhaps if there is some setting I have set wrong. The other thing that is flabbergasting to me is that the phone doesn't come with T9 already mapped to the physical keyboard. There's no way I could just hand this to my 70-year-old dad and have him figure out how to set that up. In fact, if anyone has links to a good tutorial of how to keymap for this phone, I'd appreciate it. Nearly all the T9 keyboards in the google play store just set up a T9 simulator for the touchscreen, which doesn't make sense when you have a large physical keyboard such as this phone. Anybody have a good link for a tutorial like that?
You need K9T9 keyboard from Github
@@JoseBriones please!! make a video how to do this. I have no idee how to do this. Im not a computer wizzard. I do not understand how github works and how to instal things from there. I just want the T9 :(
@@JoseBriones hey Jose i have the same problem with the T9 and dont know how to aktivate the keypad
@@BoyRoy18 I have the same issue! I've had the phone for a month already and it's yet to become my daily driver as I haven't found a tutorial for setting up the keyboard. It's pretty annoying having all that real estate used for just typing numbers
I was hyped for this phone until I realized that the phone isn't based around T9. You shouldn't have to download a non-google play app. Sigh, still want it though. I agree, you should really make a video about this.
Thanks for this great review. If i buy the f22 it will be because google maps is a bit better on the bigger screen.
was interested in the f21, but my problem is like, i would like to have some apps like whatsapp and more, for having some text with friends etc, but im not really used to that "keyboard", does that have the possibility to a touch screen keyboard?
F21 can use touchscreen and can install all apps.
@@JoseBriones perfect, thank you!
This phone seems great. Great cross between a dumb and smart phone. I’m in NY and have mint mobile..where can i purchase this phone?
Hello @jose Briones, could you please tell me which is the app to write with the numbers? Thnxs
K9T9 or TT9 from GitHub.
@@JoseBriones thanks!
Sorry again, the only way to install is through ADB?
Or by downloading the apk from their respective github repositories
Does someone know about T9 compatibility with different languages? Live in Sweden and this is the most important function
T9 only works with English, Spanish, and French I believe.
@@JoseBriones That's so sad. Thanks for answering :)
Hi, out of the f21 and the smaller f22 (the no camera one), which would you recommend? Also please do a comparison video of those two phones. Thank you
F21 in my opinion
Thanks Jose. Is the 3/32gb version of the f21 viable for using WhatsApp, searching the internet and Spotify? I’m trying to keep costs down so won’t get the 4/64gb if I don’t have to. Cheers
I would kill to have a dumb phone with ab decent 13MP camera.
This comes closer!
I was thinking the same. Camera is the only reason some of us use a smartphone.
@Azrael that would be carrying two devices and also have to charge them separately. It is the same reasons that point and shoot cameras started to disappear after smartphones started to have good cameras. Same is true regarding music players. So you don't have to worry about charging multiple devices, carrying multiple devices.
Why not? People want dumb phones because they don't want to be under influence of algorithmic apps designed in order to take your time, not because they want to have low specification phones that are not useful.
@Denis Bon Yeah. Camera and land-line!
Can someone confirm if notifications are working correctly? Do apps get killed in the background after a while?
Notifications work fine.
It’s a brilliant phone which can get any app you need for utility. You may need to limit yourself on socials if that’s your thing but it’s a good basic device which can do anything you may need
Can you use Spotify and google maps on it?
I hope you can make a vlog of this, using the phone in a day.
Reminds me of Nokia Asha 300. WTF is wrong the front facing camera on the lower left side corner?
how to download k9 keyboard and 12 key keyboard please is no where to be found
'Old T9 Keyboard' on the play store works better, no key remapping needed.
Once this supports Verizon I will buy it immediately. This is exactly what I’ve been waiting for
Hello brother, thank you for the clarification, but I have questions. By the nature of my work, I go out a lot and need the phone for calls and conversations in WhatsApp, watching some videos, searching in Google and also Facebook... If I use the phone for a whole day, how long can it last?
Probably 1 day and a half.
Finally good qwerty phone with today technology for cool people, because im using Samsung S5611 till today...
How I wish that I can flip the keypad so become comfortable Since you can use the main touch as function So keypad will be An option But its good remind me the old days oglf having that
problem with this is if you want to fully committed to a physical keyboard (no virtual), there's no backspace button to edit/delete words.
Check TT9, they have it modified so you can use the back button to delete words.
This phone is 95 percent there in what I am looking for, I wish Xiaomi would release this exact phone in a flip form factor. Then this would be perfect for me.
Edit: I think I've found it, the perfect one I was looking for. It's called freetel model1 retro 2. It's has everything I was looking for. Flip form factor, sd card card slot, dual sim, it even runs android 13.
Hi, i have the F21 pro, and I have some questions I hope someone will be able to answer me that questions first of all my screen size as well as my keyboard size is getting wider itself and then narrow, and then back wide, and then narrow, I don't know how to change the size of the screen and the side of the keyboard, sometimes is the screen full size and the keyboard also full size sometimes is the screen but the keyboard it's still narrow, I have no idea how to change this,
I have another question my question is how can I use the keypad keyboard to type ABCs it's typing only numbers
I have the same problem, how can u fix it?
Press the app switcher key and at the bottom of the screen it will say "adjust resolution" or something like that. If you click that you get to cycle through 3 or 4 different resolutions. I like to use the middle one, but the smallest is handy for when you have to press number keys during a call. With the Google phone app on any other setting you can't see most of the numbers.
Hello everyone!
I wanna buy a phone, and I like that, but:
1: I saw I can download the messenger and Facebook, and I wanna use those apps. But I can use those, or just download it?
Is that a Palm PVG-100 there in the beginning?
Yes. I used to have one.
Thanks for hosting the giveaway!!
Can you go more into depth about how you switched over to using the physical keyboard
Swipe down from the top, select keyboard from the notification, change the keyboard after you have installed K9T9 from GitHub.
can this phone use google Lookup? is the button customizable? how about google assistant?
Yes. Yes. Yes.
Can you tell me if this phone support T9 in Spanish? It is my main language and I worry that the T9 is not part of android but part of the phone manufacturer
Not at the moment. Only K9T9 which is English only right now.
Good question. Also the spanish is my main language. 😞
Also they could launch a premium version of it better cpu ram and aluminum chassis , I miss metal keypad
S tier phone for me. Last time I saw a drool worthy not for NA market phone was a sharp JP phone targeted at seniors.
Hello, great video!
is the f21 pro google edition good enough for android use? My fear is that it will feel really slow in a frustrating way. I want a small phone so the f21 pro seems better in that regard, but the design of the f22 pro is nicer and I think the battery lasts longer so I don't know which one is better. Also, the f22 is almost 100€ more expensive for some reason.
The F21 is fast enough. The F22 is "faster" but the F21 is good for any person.
I’m curious about the google vs non-google versions. When getting the non-google version can I just install everything via APKs anyway or will it not work fully like google logins?
I would pay more for google for the f21 pro but if it’s just a rooted version that isn’t official I don’t see what’s the point.
@@wenhsin547 As far as I know, the non-google version doesn't let you install google services. But for the f21 pro I don't know if it's just a rooted device or an official version. I know that the f22 pro google is official
