I think It's about quality of opponents and dominance. Masvidal is a journeyman. Colby hasn't beat a top 5 and still Kamaru couldn't dominate him. Gilbert is a good win though.

But really what it does is allow u to ground n pound whilst controlling with legs

You can rest while you sit on them like that.
You can go even further, too: Khabib said he “also sits on them in a way that attacks their balance.”
We can handle bench presses, but it’s almost impossible to do them if the bar is off-balance & changing its weight distribution.
That’s the Khabib style: rest while you make them ‘bench press you,’ and shift the weight distribution so the opponent can’t predict & counter you.

It's a bad move leg kicking a wrestler of Khabib's level. That'll just make him take you to the ground faster and then it's smesh time.
This is a huge detail people overlook, a kick just pisses off a wrestler where they will either time the next kick or just run you across the cage and take you down.

Usman isn't wrong when he says wrestling gets tiring, Khabib just trained himself to wrestle for whole fights and still be in top shape, so yeah he got a lot of injuries. Let's also not forget the brutal weight cuts he was doing for lw
I think Khabib never wanted to fight unless he was in perfect condition as well. Also add in all those injuries. And lets remember here, injuries happen during the fights too. Like TJ Dillashaw winning the fight against Cody, but ripped up his knee.

It's not something anyone other than the Dagestani fighters practice as u can see from the response of Usman and Henry that was something new for them.. so not easy if never trained in that technique. Khabib talks so casually about it as he used that technique all his life
@@muzammilmohsin7259 according to khabib rockhold is also very good at it but his takedowns are not good enough to get the fight to the ground. The technique comes from khabibs dad, therefore khabib and islam are very good at it. Not all dagestani fighters use this technique.
