Thank you 🙏 I have been wasting time trying to do art in other mediums and all the time feeling my mind drawing me towards charcoal and graphite . Your teaching style so accessible and easy to understand . 🙏
A perfect demonstration! That’s just what I needed. A step-by-step on a simple subject is the best way to teach procedures and thinking. I have subscribed and hit the bell. Thank you.
Sir, I have been following your videos, but have not come across one where you have explained how to preserve the charcoal artwork from smudging. What chemical need to be sprayed or applied to preserve/ store the artwork. Please advise. If you have already covered this subject, you may give me link of that video. Thanks
You can spray on hairspray after you finish the drawing. I'm an art student and I use it all the time to seal my drawings, it works pretty good. You can even put on multiple layers if you want.
I use workable fixitive, which you can get online if you can't find it at your local art store. Go outside when it's not windy and spray all over your drawing in a sweeping motion. Be careful not to spray too close or you'll soak your drawing

Mr Chen how do you erase the charcoal when adding finishing touches? I have used various erasers but they seem to tear the paper or leave marks.
Klaudija Katarajn good question. I will make a lesson on how to use different erasers.
Thanks for sharing.
