Watching the pick 6 during the Seattle game live at MetLife did it for me. I can’t root for him anymore. We had receivers jumping up and down waving their arms in the air wide open and he hesitated and got sacked everytime
Speak for yourself, DJ was the 4th reason we weren’t good last year.. Oline, play calling, injuries, and then DJ… I want DJ to have a full season where does three are what the giants are finally top of the league in (less injuries ofc) also give the man a WR1
Daniel jones ain't it. He has a large enough sample size to say backup qb at Best. Mara needs to step tf down and leave the football decisions to the football people. "We've done everything we can to screw this kid" and makes the kid one of the highest paid qb's for literally feeling bad for a kid that stunk it up like the team around em. I'm not mad at not paying Barkley but they literally paid jones outta pity. So yes. Being a giants fan is extremely frustrating right now.

He earned that contract, what has Herbert done ? What about Dak Prescott ? What about Josh Allen ? QB who rack up stats but do nothing come post season and have way better talent and rosters around them, I’m sorry but DJ is the guy in my books 🤷🏾♂️ call me naive but ide rather have a QB who literally showed you he can step up when it really matters in the post season as well as do it with practice squad receivers, and he never complains or trashes his teammates or the fans even though the fans put him through hell because when we’re losing he’s the the face of it but when we win it’s “Saquon is the offense”

You have a point but if he sits for a year & becomes a good starting QB in 2025 it would be worth it. It will save them from paying DJ $40M in 2025. The Giants can surround a rookie with some talent with the savings. I’m wondering if DJ is using his downtime from injury to work on his skills reading defenses or watching lots of film. It would be nice forGiants fans for him to come back playing much better.
Our o line was terrible, no qb could have succeeded behind that line we saw against the cowboys
JJ was there at 6. We went nabers, is what it is. Another year of jones isnt terrible but we know what were getting. Missed reads, bad sense of pressure, doesnt know how to protect himself with pre snap adjustments. But he will hit that over everytime w rushing

You grab a receiver at 6 no doubt. Then you take a developmental QB later in rounds.
I wanted a QB at 6 as well. But when we signed Lock..i been zoned in on the top playmakers at 6. I can't see us taking a QB after bringing Lock in. Cant see us with 4 QBs on the roster. I think we get our playmaker at 6 either Harrison Jr Nabers or Odunze. Think the QB come next year draft.
Cap hit if Jones traded or cut 69 million. Imagine the locker room if they draft a QB at 6. Half team will be behind Jones and 1/2 backing the rookie. Will save 19 mil in 25 if cut Jones but 22 mil in dead money. Bonus if they draft QB at 6, will have a top 5 pick in ‘25.
I'm in the camp of Brian Baldinger and others, where I would much rather pick a QB in the 2nd round, than reach for JJ McCarthy at 6th overall. Positions aside, I'm not picking JJ over ANY of the top-3 WR prospects. Its one thing if JJ came into the draft process as a consensus top 5-10 prospect like Nabers & Odunze has prior to the combine, but he was a late-1st round prospect. Teams get in trouble (especially when it comes to QBs) by using the "underwear Olympics" (as some like to call it) as a means to overvalue prospects based on "traits" and "potential", when it really should be used to confirm a prospect's standing amongst their peers prior to the combine. JJ is NOT a top-6 prospect just because he plays QB!

If the league ok with paying Kirk cousin 300million and he hasn’t really done nothing in the league with decent teams wr etc Daniel Jones is worth ever penny period no QB in the nfl would be consistent or do well with our line play everybody acts like he’s suppose to block for himself catch the ball he throw .. like just stop hating on the kid he got sacked the most in nfl history and yet people still point fingers at him I don’t here nothing about the horrible line play ..when we went to the playoffs and beat Kirk cousins we had gates and a another vet line men speak on it now when we threw the rooks in we got man handled we didn’t go into this season with that playoff line from the year before so to all the DJ hater put your money where your mouth is I bet he ball this year we should have been protecting him and Barkley better period 3 QBs went down in one season hint hint but everybody blames DJ for his play on the field 😂😂😂and give other QBs breaks get the hell out of here he went to the manning QB school he can throw and play period
