I thought I stayed in every hotel they had on the island but I didn't know about this place. I'm definitely gonna book the whole place and take my family. Thank you for this video.
@@k.j.falloon8563 channel is new (new phone) and I don't know how to upload. I'm more of a watcher than an uploader 😀 last visit was 11yrs ago 🙄😭🇯🇲🇯🇲. You've visited every hotel in JA, impressive 👏🏾 I would love to reintroduce myself to to the island. It makes me homesick listening to foreigners/tourists telling me and educating me about what I SHOULD BE TELLING THEM. My Ghanaian postman was educating me about differences between parishes. My Guyanese colleague was telling me all to hot spots to visit. I feel proud yet ashamed they know more than me. 🙈🙈🤦. Anyways Enjoy sweet sweet Jamaica!!! 🇯🇲❤️🇯🇲❤️🇯🇲
I rode horses here when I was a kid (the horses were in the carriage house back then), and we were married there in 1996, and had our 20th anniversary dinner there. It holds a very special place in my heart...
This is in Cockpit Country an area that is under threat of being mined (for bauxite) out of existence if the Jamaican government has its way. Please join the fight to keep this part of Jamaica free from further mining. We stand to lose far too much. Infact, the Cockpit Country should be made a natural Heritage Site due to it's importance. It is the source of six major rivers and is a critical water resource for central-western Jamaica There are plants that are endemic to Jamaica. The known list includes 6 species of Lepanthes orchids; 4 species of bromeliads; and 2 species of wild yam. In addition there are 12 herbs, 4 herbaceous vines, 2 sub-woody vine, 4 woody scramblers, 39 shrubs, 15 shrubs or small trees and 15 trees species. There is more, but I'll leave it for now.
"you feel like you stepped back in time 300 years" "A bitter sweet past" Describing what used to be a major plantation in a now post colonial country being strangled by foreign debt. So incredibly tone deaf.

@@sheenz4963 how do I know you won’t give any trouble? The first trouble is you don’t have any videos up. That’s clear sign right there. Lol

Am from the Cockpit area of Trelawny. Preserve our treasure. GOD bless Jamaica and the Cockpit Country.
It's such a beautiful area - I'd hate to see it ruined by mining
@@SwankGuide It sure is. Preservation rights. #

I couldn’t stay there.
Too much brutality and suffering in the walls.
Those old plantation houses give me the creeps.
