Roman didn't save us. We were a big club in England and we were challenging UCL in the years before the takeover. Roman has obviously done so much for us but we weren't struggling before he came.
chelsea was in massive debit and were desasperate for a new owner , you were going the leeds way , spending far too much you could actually could afford,Bates couldnt afford to put more money so yes Roman save chelsea
And what about Rybolovlev then? AS Monaco were 15th (or even lower) in Ligue 2 when the Russian bought them. He got rid of their debts and enrolled such a succesful policy that they managed to promote in only the next season, managed to enter the Champions League (Ranieri again!) and they have set up a fantastic scouting system.
Roman Abramovich? Really? I know we had our most succesful period under him, but Matthew Harding saved the blues! Before him we were finishing mid table, after him, we finished top 6 over and over again, had world class signing like Zola, Hasselbaink, Desailly, and won multiple trophies, including a Cup winner's Cup, an Uefa Super Cup, 2 FA Cups and an EFL Cup. Matthew saved Chelsea, and we caught Roman's attention because of Harding's efforts.
Haven't watched this yet but Steve Gibson of my beloved Boro is the owner and chairman every club wants and he saved them from liquidation in 1986. If he's not on this list I'll be very disappointed that he's been overlooked probably because Boro aren't a big enough club.
Couldn't agree more, my mate. Steve Gibson literally SAVED the club, transformed it, and invested out of his own pocket ever since. He definitely deserved a mention! UTB.
+The Premier League Is A Disgrace To Football city were a lower mid table club. We challenged for Europe and were in the cl before the takeover. Roman definetely made us a top club in Europe but we were already a big English club.
Alex Morgan Why are you asking me that. I'm actually supporting your argument as I saw what Chelsea were like before Abramovich took over. It was one of the reasons I nearly chose to support them over Liverpool when I was younger. Plus at the time I genuinely liked Mourinho and what he was doing with them at the time.
roman didn't save us in the sense that we were going downhill. we were already a top club in the 90s. we already had won more european trophies than arsenal at the time and were constantly finishing top 4 for a while before roman came. abramovich just took us to the next level

Euro Football Daily in these last days u guys are starting to consider the saints as a good team and talk about them cheers for that because usually in TV they are very criticised and every single year they get criticised so cheers for that!
ChelseaFC were bashedddddddddd for spending cash and were the first club to do so. But look at all the clubs now copying them acting like spending whores #COYB
Massimo Moratti's father was the Inter's owner in the 60s. In this period Inter with Helenio Herrera as manager and great players such Mazzola, Facchetti, Burgnich, Picchi and Corso were "La Grande Inter" which won two Champions League and some Scudetti.
Where's Steve Gibson? Saves Boro from liquidation in 1986, rebuilt the club, a Carling Cup and a European twice, including a final? For a small town in the North East and one of the lowest income rates in England that's a magnificent job.
Forgot to mention how Marckus Leibherr tragically died and didn't even get to see his club's rise. A true heartbreaking story as his daughter carried on his vision, he also invested in a state of the art training ground that is one of the best in Europe. His name is still sung around the ground in his memory.
Anyone else here after the helicopter crash outside the king power stadium. Rest in peace Viachi srivaddhanaprabba. What you did for Leicester city football club won't be forgotten.
Nick Carter We (Chelsea) were playing in the champions league, going for top 4 every season and had big players before Roman, Roman bought us and took us to another level, Ken bates was the one who saved us in the 80's
another saints supporter i rember that day my mum and dad collected me from school early and said that we might not be club anymore i wanted to cry thnak you marcus
Sir Jack Hayward at Wolves. Bought us off the Bhattis and saved us from liquidation in the 80's. Then went on to take us to the Premier League for the first time after beating Sheffield United in the Playoff Final. Sold the club to Steve Morgan for just £10 because he loved the club so much he wasn't trying to make a profit out of it. The man was a legend, and a genius all in one and without his input, Wolverhampton Wanderers may not exist as we currently know. God rest his soul.
actually can someone explain the existence of euro football daily when they have their mainstream football daily up and running. not moaning or anything this channel is doing a great job
Sadly Marcus died before he could see Southampton back into the Premier league. He had a five year plan to get the club back into the premiership when he tookover. Happened in 3
Moratti was a amazing Owner. Since he left, Inter-Milan haven't been able to attract World Class or really quality players in the transfer market and have just mostly bought mediocrity in the last few years. Yeh he sacked a lot of Managers but tbf pretty much all of them were shite and just kept dragging the club down instead of improving it. Also he never expected any of those Managers to win the title. All he asked for was a Champions League spot which was a realistic expectation. He also hired Jose Mourinho in his prime before any other big club could even approach him just after he foolishly tired and to go for the Barcelona job after Frank Rijkaard was sacked.
If your talking about owners saving clubs then FSG deserve a mention. Though there's mixed feelings about them at Anfield now, they bought Liverpool in 2010 when the club was less than 24 hours from going into liquidation. Had they not stepped in, Liverpool would have suffered a similar fate to Leeds United six years earlier.
How is Silvio Berlusconi not on this list? From Wikipedia: "On 20 February 1986, entrepreneur Silvio Berlusconi acquired the club and saved it from bankruptcy after investing vast amounts of money, appointing rising manager Arrigo Sacchi at the helm of the Rossoneri and signing Dutch internationals Ruud Gullit, Marco van Basten and Frank Rijkaard. The Dutch trio added an attacking impetus to the team, and complemented the club's Italian internationals Paolo Maldini, Franco Baresi, Alessandro Costacurta and Roberto Donadoni. Under Sacchi, Milan won its first Scudetto in nine years in the 1987-88 season. The following year, the club won its first European Cup in two decades, beating Romanian club Steaua București 4-0 in the final. Milan retained their title with a 1-0 win over Benfica a year later and remain the last team to win back-to-back European Cups. The Milan team of 1989-90 has been voted the best club side of all time in a global poll of experts conducted by World Soccer magazine." Then add to the list 3 more European Cup/Champions League titles plus 3 lost finals, and then of course a number of Serie A titles. AC Milan was relegated two times in the 80'ies before Berlusconi. Hard to find a more influental club owner.
People complain that money ruins football yet laugh at Liverpool for not winning the league. Without sheikh mansour buying the league for city several times liverpool would of had that title.
Stop saying Chelsea was irrelevant before Abramovich. We were in the champions league the year before he bought the club. I'm not going to deny that his money helped the club, but quit acting like Chelsea was a fucking non-league side before Abramovich.
PotatoMaster Well yeah but you'd think, if they had to do a national team kit and a player from his club came to mind, it'd be more appropriate for maybe a Bergkamp shirt.
I'm a city fan and even tho the takeover has gave us a bad reputation because of "Arab" money, he's made us into one of the best in the prem, brilliant talented players playing beautiful football, one of the best academies in the world (training wise not youth but with Kelechi turning out quite alright I can see the youth academy work wonders for us) and all we have to take in return is the chants of "Arab money" "emptihad" and "you've not got history", I'll take it, we may have not got history but we have a bright future ahead of us
Roman is the best owner he paid extra money to revamp Stamford bridge instead of leaving it and moving to a much bigger and profitable stadium "like what Arsenal did" just for the fans beside bringing the best talent in the world for cheap
no he revamp stamford bridge out of kindness spending 500 mill pound just to get extra 30K seats while he could spend 200 or 300 million and build a new stadium like Arsenal
What the fuck are you talking about mate? He never expanded Stamford Bridge.''Bringing best talent in the world for cheap''? Torres costed 50 million pounds and he was considered ''best talent''. You are out of your mind mate
Torres is the most expensive the 2nd most is Diego Costa 38 million Eden Hazard 32 million Matic 20 million Kante 30 they are all bargains and Stamford will be expanded
Honestly this list is a joke without berlusconi. Berlusconi took Milan, who were sleeping giants, to never before seen heights, including multiple champions league wins. Just because the last few years have not been the best for Milan, it should not take away all the succeses he's had. That man made Milan great
City would have been in big, big trouble had we not been bought by Sheikh Mansour and ADUG. I almost had a crisis when you said "he doesn't own a club, he owns a dynasty."
Are you guys high? Where is Berlusconi??? In 30 years under him AC Milan won 8 Scudetti, 5 UCL/Champions cups, 3 Club World Cups, 6 italian Supercups, 5 european Supercups, 1 Coppa Italia. He built what was arguably the best club team in football history, the Ac Milan of Sacchi and Capello, the last team that won the UCL twice in a row.
James William Gibson saved Man Utd from bankruptcy in 1931 after he found a dog collecting donations which belonged to UTD should have been at least number 5
It was mainly knockaert, Kasper Schmeichel, Morgan, drinkwater and nugent that helped us the most when we were getting promoted Riyad was just an average player
Where Milan that team literally forgotten in Italy. Before Berlusconi bought the team and turn them into the best team in Europe in less than 5 years which all team in this list failed to do
I am a Benfica fan, but I have to say that you missed Bruno de Carvalho from Sporting CP. After a awful season, ending up at 7th in the league and with the former owner selling their biggest goal scorer (Ricky van Wolfswinkel), Bruno had to clean up the team and use guys that we never thought that would be good players, Like William Carvalho... he is not the most respected person in the country, but sure needs credit, even with the Fact that they only won two cups
the problem with this video is every club (certainly in England) have a story about how an owner transformed the club or saved them. e.g. I support stoke and Peter coates took the club from league one to premier league stalwarts within 15 years, and we're alright to watch now.
great vid by the way. but a question keeps banging in my head; if the Agnelli Family own Jeep, Fiat, Ferrari, and Juve, how are they not, like, the the richest family in the world? Or at least top three?
no Berlusconi? he bough ACMilan 1986 after 2 relegations, in 5 years he won 2 CL.
colino They had actually won European cups before that
TsarPeter 2702 like 20 years before
Abrahmovic hasnt saved Chelsea..He made them..
do your research, we were already a top 4 team before abramovich came, already won some trophies.
BrendanCFC don't lie mate
LCFC Joe nah not lying, won the 1997 fa cup, 1998 cup winners cup, 1998 super cup, 2000 fa cup and some others way back.
BrendanCFC they're clueless mate, if you know football you will know that Chelsea were big in the late 90s and early 2000's before Roman

silvio berlusconi: 5 champions leagues, one of the biggest unbeaten runs in football history 29 trophies overall he picked them up and made them shine
Bansh Cwipwa of course he fucking saved you shut 😂 only been a big club since 2004
isaac and you be epl fan since when?
Point is Chelsea are a plastic club with plastic fans
the point is in every BIG club NOW is bless with money... reality everyone
John Henry saved Liverpool from Hicks and Gillett...
We still need rich owners
Roman Abramovich? Really? I know we had our most succesful period under him, but Matthew Harding saved the blues! Fuck Ken Bates though... he was a fucking prick to Harding.

Well that's a shame. An honourable mention would've been nice
Couldn't agree more, my mate. Steve Gibson literally SAVED the club, transformed it, and invested out of his own pocket ever since. He definitely deserved a mention! UTB.
Chelsea would still of been a big club if roman didn't buy us, we were a top four side for 5/6 years
The Premier League Is A Disgrace To Football we won 6 trophies from 95 to 2002
Alex Morgan Even suprisinly made your first Champions League Semi Final in the late 90's
+The Premier League Is A Disgrace To Football city were a lower mid table club. We challenged for Europe and were in the cl before the takeover. Roman definetely made us a top club in Europe but we were already a big English club.
Talia Mason ok, when was arsenals ?
Alex Morgan Why are you asking me that. I'm actually supporting your argument as I saw what Chelsea were like before Abramovich took over. It was one of the reasons I nearly chose to support them over Liverpool when I was younger. Plus at the time I genuinely liked Mourinho and what he was doing with them at the time.
Berlusconi made Ac milan team who got relagated twice in 80s into one of greatest teams of all time.He shouls be here
roman didn't save us in the sense that we were going downhill.
we were already a top club in the 90s. we already had won more european trophies than arsenal at the time and were constantly finishing top 4 for a while before roman came. abramovich just took us to the next level

How long did you practice to pronounce that 10th name correctly? :)
Milad Ibrahim They should've shown an outtake clip at the end of the video showing Patrick's attempts at practicing the name.
Patrick is shown as the guy who can pronounce names so I doubt that would suit him.
my favourite football channel

Hi football daily i love your vids and have been a long time supporter

Most of these didn't exactly save their club. Saving would be the Celtic and Southampton stories. Not the Manchester City stories.
JakeTV where would Man City be without Mansour?
+Ginginho he didn't SAVE them he TRANSFORMED them
Most likely Man City would still be mid table and existing thus meaning he didn't save them.
Anyone else here after the helicopter crash outside the king power stadium. Rest in peace Viachi srivaddhanaprabba. What you did for Leicester city football club won't be forgotten.
Where's Mike Ashley 😂😂😂
Dude mike ashley tries to ruin the club
Samuel Yee it's sarcasm
I think you're using the term 'Saved' a bit loosely, should have used the word transformed
well... no not really saints were hours for extinction
Nick Carter We (Chelsea) were playing in the champions league, going for top 4 every season and had big players before Roman, Roman bought us and took us to another level, Ken bates was the one who saved us in the 80's

wow i never really had a good look at the rise of southampton... fucking hell the owners should be given the key to the fucking city

jonathan andersen Legend
Berlusconi deserves a mention for sure. The greatest club president of all-time.
Ali Jackson He's a corrupted scumbag. He got you relegated for match fixing along with Juventus.
How is Silvio Berlusconi not on this list?

It's a Özil shirt since he's an Arsenal fan. Then again it makes sence what you just said
PotatoMaster Well yeah but you'd think, if they had to do a national team kit and a player from his club came to mind, it'd be more appropriate for maybe a Bergkamp shirt.
Gruff Or someone like RVP?
What a fuck where is berlusconi!?!? He took us from serie b to more than 30 titles!
thought the same
I'm a city fan and even tho the takeover has gave us a bad reputation because of "Arab" money, he's made us into one of the best in the prem, brilliant talented players playing beautiful football, one of the best academies in the world (training wise not youth but with Kelechi turning out quite alright I can see the youth academy work wonders for us) and all we have to take in return is the chants of "Arab money" "emptihad" and "you've not got history", I'll take it, we may have not got history but we have a bright future ahead of us
No Steve Gibson? Saved us in 86" and has took us to a domestic cup and into the Europa league
Roman is the best owner he paid extra money to revamp Stamford bridge instead of leaving it and moving to a much bigger and profitable stadium "like what Arsenal did" just for the fans beside bringing the best talent in the world for cheap
Ahmed Almansoer you're a fucking spastic 😭😭 he didn't do out of kindness you said it yourself, "for profitability" 😭😂
no he revamp stamford bridge out of kindness spending 500 mill pound just to get extra 30K seats while he could spend 200 or 300 million and build a new stadium like Arsenal
he is the best football club owner simple as
What the fuck are you talking about mate? He never expanded Stamford Bridge.''Bringing best talent in the world for cheap''? Torres costed 50 million pounds and he was considered ''best talent''. You are out of your mind mate
Torres is the most expensive the 2nd most is Diego Costa 38 million Eden Hazard 32 million Matic 20 million Kante 30 they are all bargains and Stamford will be expanded
Why don't you guys make a video of the top 10 owners who are toughest negotiators during transfer window?
where's PSG owner?
Chris Klitou PSG weren't a club in trouble, they were just a mid table club
no international trophies tho
Also it was from a mid-eastern investment group not an rich individual.
Jorge Costa because they are a club
Well PSG is quite a big club in Europe before they bought by their current owner
Number 10... well done patto
Honestly this list is a joke without berlusconi. Berlusconi took Milan, who were sleeping giants, to never before seen heights, including multiple champions league wins. Just because the last few years have not been the best for Milan, it should not take away all the succeses he's had. That man made Milan great
Supposed to be playing game of war but this one player keeps kicking my ass
His pronunciations sounded so legit
No Berlusconi?
If only we had a Owner or Player who could change our fate or turn us around like Man utd, Arsenal or Man City.
City would have been in big, big trouble had we not been bought by Sheikh Mansour and ADUG. I almost had a crisis when you said "he doesn't own a club, he owns a dynasty."
Southampton were runners up in 1983-84. There was football before the Premier League, you know.
Ann budge - hearts
0:07 LOL
Sir John Madejski, No Reading fc without him!
Stevie Gibson!
Maxim Demin part was mostly incorrect about half of the things you said he did was before he took 50%.
Benfica's president, Luis Filipe Vieira, could be there. Not an owner but would go well as a special mention!
Good pronunciation of Melbourne
where is Sir John Madejski he worked hard over many years to make us a mainstay at the top of the championship/bottom of the premier league
The Agnellis didn't save Juvé, they made the Old Lady
I think Peter Coates of Stoke should of got a mention just because without him Stoke wouldn't be where they are
James William Gibson saved Man Utd from bankruptcy in 1931 after he found a dog collecting donations which belonged to UTD should have been at least number 5
Markus liebherr is our king
rest in peace
Say "Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha" three times quickly
They put Massimo Moratti and don't put Silvio Berlusconi. 28 trophies in 30 years with 5 champions league. Shame on you guys
It was mainly knockaert, Kasper Schmeichel, Morgan, drinkwater and nugent that helped us the most when we were getting promoted Riyad was just an average player
He was good but not our best player
I love you Patrick
Where Milan that team literally forgotten in Italy. Before Berlusconi bought the team and turn them into the best team in Europe in less than 5 years which all team in this list failed to do
Where is Mike Ashely he saved Sunderland
Sir Jack Hayward SAVED Wolves
The Agnelli's are the mafia
I am a Benfica fan, but I have to say that you missed Bruno de Carvalho from Sporting CP. After a awful season, ending up at 7th in the league and with the former owner selling their biggest goal scorer (Ricky van Wolfswinkel), Bruno had to clean up the team and use guys that we never thought that would be good players, Like William Carvalho... he is not the most respected person in the country, but sure needs credit, even with the Fact that they only won two cups
what year did it happen?
Sporting finished a season in 7th in 2012-13
Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa from F.C.Porto????
I think the Glazers deserve number 1 😂😂😂
How can Bournemouth have been in 21st in the championship in 2011, when they didn't get promoted to the Championship until 2013? 🤔
the problem with this video is every club (certainly in England) have a story about how an owner transformed the club or saved them. e.g. I support stoke and Peter coates took the club from league one to premier league stalwarts within 15 years, and we're alright to watch now.
No huw Jenkins and co? saved Swansea from the brink of leaving the football league all the way to the premier League
I think Mike Ashley saved Newcastle, obviously.
Santiago Bernabeu...literally bringing back RM from zero because of the spanish civil war
No Berlusconi??? Seriusly? He took a relegation team and menaged to bring it on the top of the world.
Dream if Abramovich bought Arsenal D:
Just because he already had a mansion in West London lmao
Before watching this I hope Steve Gibson is in it
I'm unsubscribing
Like they give a shit
No Silvo Berlusconi?!!!! this is absurd.
great vid by the way. but a question keeps banging in my head; if the Agnelli Family own Jeep, Fiat, Ferrari, and Juve, how are they not, like, the the richest family in the world? Or at least top three?
Abdul Mel they have a net worth of 13.5b, the Rothschilds and the Rockefellers have net worth of 350b each. On his own, bill gates has 80b
Ginginho Well I know that for sure, but the question was about why shouldn't their net worth be higher?
I expected Berlusconi at #1....
I don't care people saying first I'm just happy euro football daily uploaded
