- Undoubtedly one of my deepest child core memories wandering the halls as a little one in the now forgotten isles of Family Video, I present my slightly remastered version of The Princess and the Goblin.
Brought to you in a modern-day film ratio with adjusted quality, I have done my best to remaster this forgotten tale. Experience the George MacDonald story once more as you sit back and explore the Goblin realm yet again.
I do want to finally express that I do not own the rights to this movie. I only put a lot of effort into cleaning up the film and making it available to the masses since this is not available to stream and hard to find.

I used to remember scenes from this movie and everyone told me it’s gotta be the Black Cauldron. Seeing this now is so validating, I knew it was a different movie

Absolutely adore this movie, the voice acting is great, and I love the animation in it so much. I also love that they wrote the King as being so warm and trusting; he never questioned Irene's stories and her assertions that the goblins were real and dangerous. It's a refreshing take considering in the vast majority of movies, the parents are always skeptical or outright refuse to believe their children.

I've always thought at the beginning of the movie, The Goblin was trying to get Irene with froglt. Plus, you can recognize he does wear a black cape. And thank you so much for posting this here. This was one of my favorite movies. It's actually based on the book. The book 1st came out. They did a sequel to but not. for the movie. Wish they did.

This is a Hungarian cartoon (we had an animation industry back in the days) and I grew up with it.
The part where Irene being lost in the woods traumatized me as a kid, those monsters were so creepy to me lmao
I've learned animation at the studio where this was made and I have two celluloids (one with Turnip and one with Irene). The studio just gave them away.

I love the fact in this movie the princess even though yes she was kidnapped but she actually stood her ground protecting the person she cares about as well as the boy who basically fight for everything and the animation were amazing I wish more films today we’re like this because having movies like this brings so much joy and imagination to a lot of people don’t give me wrong there are good movies nowadays but it’s just I wish we can go back to these times simpler clam and fun honestly some people just kind of forgot about these beautiful gems of movies that are fun can be creative and the song is so good I would honestly sing to it and I wish there was a cover of it and yes we did get the Derek typical mother’s gone but it was done well and the grandmother she looks so beautiful honestly I would definitely cosplay her and thank you so much for sending this video and I hope this video last forever on this channel and I hope you have a wonderful day and I’m sorry for my paragraph here but I do hope you have a wonderful day 👍🤗🫂❤️⭐️

Beloved movie too bad the book sequel had such a sad ending and is honestly a weak read in comparison. Although Curdie and Princess Irene do end up together in the end due to having no heirs the kingdom pretty much collapses and is never spoken of again. There’s really nothing gained or anything I can well receive in the sequel story. Maybe if it had a sequel film they’d have found a way to alter the weakness of the sequel book.
