I bought one about a month ago from Alibaba. Mine didn't come with google play. It has some other app in chinese they may be a Chinese version of google play, but I can't use it. Also other apps shown in the brochure aren't on my watch, like email, gmail and google maps. When I plug it into my pc via the usb docking station I can't access it's files. Also I have not been able to transfer files to it via bluetooth. I cannot open the sim card slot with the little tool. When I swipe down it doesn't bring the Notification Bar up. The bluetooth works very good for playing music. There are no volume controls. The battery doesn't last long, and I didn't get a extra one. I've been able to put a few other apps on it, by putting them on the sdcard, and using the file manager to install them. But most didn't work including, google play services and googleplay. Steve
I miss the good old times of Full Android phones. Nowadays there are just two or three brands developing these phones. I currently wear a Kospect Optimus 2 but I would like to see more powerful devices with better batteries.

it really depends where you are. At home where it's nice and quiet it's fine and loud enough but if you are outside and it's loud it doesn't get that loud. You also have to talk towards the left side of the watch if you are dictating

THANK YOU! FINALLY, someone that tested it the GPS. Ordering mine in the morning. I like the gold the best, but it doesn't go well with my running gear. I'll get the black/silver.
GPS on mine is terrible. It doesn't always initialise correctly and often I have to clear the cache data whilst GPS is disabled and then turn on GPS to get it working, oddly clearing the cache once it's turned on does nothing.. The other problem is that holding the watch by it's strap after a successful initialisation and it performs pretty well (as Redskull is in the video) ..however actually put the watch on your wrist or just place two fingers fingers on the back of the case and lock goes from seconds to many, many minutes ..if you get one at all. Some capacitive coupling or something going on here I think but my GPS is usable if you don't put the watch anywhere near your skin and not if you do!
I learned that if I want to use the GPS, to start it 15 minutes before I need it. Honestly, the watch is still a this watch over all. There are a few glitches that are irritating, but I still like it. It reboots sometimes, and when it does, it's not displaying the correct time, and suddenly, the volume for incoming calls and texts is mute. It's even mute on the end of the caller. I call my Watch from my phone, and no ring tone from the phone, no ringing from the watch, but honestly, the good out weighs the bad for me.
Thank you for advice. The watch is fit properly in the charger. And is charging. But while is charging I can not use the phone. When charge is full and disconnect, the phone works well.

If it's very loud where you are its gonna be difficult to hear the speaker and you will have to put your ear to it. At home for example it's loud enough.

well... i think the battery lasted a bit longer on the q1... but the x01s looks better... very similar performance... i think it depends if you like bigger or smaller watches

Ok, but the heart rate sensor is the camera and when I go to run the pulse is in contact with the back of the smartwatch and there you do not have the heart rate sensor, right ? Does it make sense what I say? If so the app runkeeper can work with the gps and show the km's, but does not mark the heart rate. This is my doubt

I'm seeing in the comments that the battery is crap at 600 mAh. How is it in comparison to other watches that only have 300 mAh? Is the 600 mAh claim bs?
Battery life is pretty acceptable actually on mine, you might need to do a couple of full to empty cycles to get it working well though. Did a quick test on the X01S. GPS and WiFI on ..though no GPS apps running. 6 hours in sleep mode - 5% of battery used. 1 hour with display permanently on (watch face) 30% of battery used. 1 minute phone call on GSM 3% used (full signal strength.. power usage increases in weak areas and increases substantially with 3G) 5 minutes of screen on and active GPS app running - 5% used. Gives you an idea of what a working battery achieves on this watch I hope.
Audio is fine in phone mode..it's actually quite usable.. but if you're in noisy areas it might be a bit of a strain. The watch uses a MTK processor and you can download the MTK Engineers user tools from Play Store and increase the maximum volume range a little by following this article (don't be tempted to crank it up too loud or you could damage the speaker!) read the article carefully: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2248396 Do note though, on my watch at least, the comments on GPS performance..good it you hold it by the strap and don't touch the back..hopeless if you actually put it on! I also think the initialisation is incorrect and it needs I think a little utility to initialise GPS properly which I'm having a look at generating at the moment.
I got mine today.. (02/09/16) 1st impressions... good, quality build. Even came with a spare battery.. Now after having to use it for 3 days i have recharged the battery 3 times. I don't get a day out of it, even with everything turned off. Gearbest state 7 days.."RUBBISH" now i know why it came with a useless spare battery. You have to put it in the watch to charge it.. go figure. Value for money is A BIG NO!!!! specially the way the Australian Dollar ($141) is.. I must say Gearbest gave me back US$20 back because the price reduced during Pre-Sale.
X01S is NOT iPhone compatible. The small keyboard sucks. The watch keep showing HongKong time iso local time. Gearbest whp produces the watch doesn't provide support if you buy watch by Aliexpres. So a watch that want tell the correct local time and needs pinpoint fingers to handle.
Redskull Tx for advice time is ok now but the option network settings for time zone should do this. I have done it manually and it's ok. Any advise to use watch with iPhone?

Watch arrived. Great build,very good for making calls,battery life good...that's it! Doesn't connect via Bluetooth,watch keeps switching off when on wrist,time keeps changing to a slower time no matter how many times i reset. To much hassle to take it back as it was purchased from abroad. I was so looking forward to this device. I'm very disappointed and would not recommend.

No..it's quite reasonable power consumption actually..but active GPS apps that make extensive use of the location services API will absolutely kill any watch...or phone! I'd say anything with a 300mAh battery isn't really going to be usable for GPS based apps that are used for any length of time..such as route tracking, golf, running etc.

if you talk close enough to the microphone will be loud enough...if you are not talking close to the watch you won't hear anything in the recording

Pairs OK with my Galaxy S7 and indeed my PC..letting me transfer files to and from it. Are you trying to use a particular app?
