This video helped me to buy the crux 308 especially after Crusader Arms Spectre Steve Goulet said “right now, if you are watching this video after taccon 2023 if you order a crux 308 or the 556 Templar you will receive the new version lighter weight upgraded from the old style that they had many complaints about, so October 27 2023 I ordered the crux 308 December 11 if finally arrived, they somewhat kept me informed and said they were building & machining my rifle so the 14 day wait turned out to be 30 days. (Yes in that time. Thought I was scammed by an internet scheme) crux arrived and already noticed I did not receive the trigger upgrade Steve and I spoke about, ok fine, than I noticed it was the old version so them saying they are making and machining a new one was a lie, there was scuffs throughout the entire rifle as though it was a display model or used & so I opened it up and found rust in the action and a lot of brass it was used and it was more than test fired cause it was filthy and needed to be cleaned even before use, cleaned it. Now I don’t really want to use it, cause than it will be used for sure… and I will be denied a refund for sure of which I was when emailed crusader arms about the rifle being rusty and dirty. So far my experience with a Canadian brand crusader arms is not worth being patriotic. It’s not buyers remorse either, I am disappointed in this Canadian brand especially in a time when legal law bidding gun owners are under attack by our federal government. Good to see them address literally every complaint i had with the rifle. the extreme front heaviness, the crappy position of the bolt release, the excessive bolt weight, the excessive chonkyness of the handguard even with all the lightening cuts, and the amount of visible screws. hopefully the price and reliability stay the same. only other consideration id have is changing the gas system to the original of the ar180-b which was much lighter and still reliable.
The fact they did something to fix over insertion makes me think this has become a solid rifle. I really want to buy Canadian so it’d be cool to see more reviews.

still prefer the raven 556, ambi mag and bolt release, lighter, easier takedown and with more ar compatible parts like the entire gas system, barrel, bolt pins and springs, handguard, and recoil buffer springs and weights. the only thing i wish it had were captive takedown pins.
Is there any way to upgrade the old version to new version? I rally dislike the plate on the side of mine!!! But it looks like new lower is different as well…

@@EpikArms I was the the guy at the end. Steve was absolutely 100% spot on, my eyes were locked on the raw aluminum chassis with gold accents and didn't see the camera until my buddies started talking sh!t. LOL
I am guessing that Canadian Gun owners do not get Lifetime Warranties on their Semi-Auto Firearms like we get here in the USA and if that is the case it must suck to live north of the border specially considering that weapon choices are Limited and the Magazine Capacity is EXTREMELY LIMITED!

Canadian gun manufacturers are unique in that they use the customer as their product testers and quality control - without telling them. They’re just too terrified to take the time to make something correctly from the start and have it banned by the time they’re ready to release it. I hope this is different.
If you make that acr style stock in house, please please please make a picatinny adapter for us in the US that have like one option for one that sucks lol
In the Code of Arms interview with Crusader, they stated the Gen 1 Crusader's bolt catch/release can be bent from aggressive over-insertion, but it may be bent back into place to prevent mis-feeds. Having the AR bolt release in the Gen 2 blocks over-insertion and prevents the issue entirely, according to Crusader.
this rifle has VERY serious issues! i bought CRUX 308 few weeks ago and on day 2 of shooting the gun completely exploded in my face, the major issue is that the chamber on crux 308 is way out of saami spec! the fired brass grows by nearly 30 thousands of an inch COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE creating natural stress point. still waiting for SPECTRE LTD to get back to me 3 weeks later! save your money and mainly avoid having gun metal flying into your face, stay away from this total crap! $3700 rifle what a freaking joke!!!

Looks great! Glad to see the Phillips head screw to stop the charging handle is now a much more aesthetically pleasing hex head!

The basic version should have a heavy barrel. And an optional pencil one. Hardly anyone shoota tray guns! This is a semi rifle!
